Probably the best episode of a rather weak arc, for a few reasons. First of all, Barto actually contributed much in defeating Bill and even got to save Luffy. Luffy meanwhile takes out his final form in one punch! Not only that but he kills him!! (There's a Kill Bill joke in there somewhere)
In addition, Barto is easily the focus in the final farewell while Luffy almost seems like s sidekick. Apparently Luffy did not think she was good enough to be a SH….
Best part is that we actually got to see Tesoro at the end. And if Koala is correct, he has power equal to the Celestial Dragons! Just how much more power does this man seek? Next chapter appears like it will by 1/2 recap episode. Let's hope following episodes don't have that much padding --- Update From New Post Merge --- @Crossword:
Gold takes place after Dressrosa yet has the Straw Hats all together as normal. This tie-in has the Straw Hats separated as they should be. To reconcile this, in the new movie everyone's actually collectively hallucinating that Law, Bartolomeo, Kinemon, and Kanjuuro are actually Sanji, Nami, Chopper, and Brook. QED.
It really makes no sense in that we get both full crew adventures tying in with a split crew arc. I support the hallucination theory. Maybe Luffy inhaled an otherwise deadly amount of methane and carbon monoxide giving him these "full crew" hallucinations one they actually get to Tesoro's island. Of course the Barto's dream theory can't entirely be ruled out.
