Everything gets magnified these days because news travels so fast around different communities…Obviously these things exist, but you see 50 people behave a certain way on the internet getting shared across Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Twitter, etc. and feels like the entire world.

Yeah, the real kicker is that, again, it comes against the artist somehow.
It sucks seeing people bullied out of fandoms because enough people felt like it was time to knock it off its thrown. Like seeing Undertale fans having to renounce playing the game because enough people hate them for it. People suck, but if enough people robbed Subway of its food, I'd expect society to cultivate a hatred for sandwich eaters.

It seems to me every fandom has a small percentage of awful human beings. It also seems to me that lately, awful human beings are more angry, more vocal, more entitled and more likely to band together than they were 10 years ago…probably because of the rise of social media and echo chamber tribalism.
Also the larger the fanbase, the more crazies

The show is back with a bomb sometime mid next month. Probably for the best since the chances of this show showing weekly again is dead to me.

I think these are new eps starting with Steven Floats… which was already "leaked". The rest of it should be new, assuming they don't get shown early in other regions or leaked again,

Don't see the point of doing a bomb with slice of life episodes.
-
EVERY fandom is the worst fandom ever, and the best. It doesn't matter if its Star Trek or Gargoyles or My Little Pony or One Piece or Harry Potter or SUpernatural or furries, EVERY fandom has a solid positive center, and an awful horror story filled outskirt with the vilest people around.
Cast a wide enough net and you're going to get the range. Especially the bigger, and the longer, a fandom exists.

The first one made sense storywise and it did well in the ratings (along with Adventure Time and Regular Show and whatever else they put in the format) so now they just do it as the standard schedule rather than an event. Seems dumb to me but maybe it makes for better ratings?
It's always been my understanding that consistency ultimately does better than big events, but whatever.

I gotta feeling there will be a huge cliffhanger at the end, such as yellow daimond departing for earth with a huge ship or something, there's gotta be a big battle at the end of S3, especially since it was S2 originally of a 3 season part. Things have to ramp up soon

All I want is a Connie Episode. It's been a while now.

We'll definitely see Stevonnie fight, probably with Rose's Sword/Shield combo. There's been a lot of build-up, and this is a show that generally delivers on that front.
I'm more curious how often we'll see Stevonnie fight. Will it be a recurring thing through the later seasons? Will they only do it for big events? Or are they saving it for the series finale? I'm thinking that the next time there's a big fight (probably the end of season 3) Connie will tag along with Steven so they don't get another Full Disclosure moment.

!
New Stevens every weeknight til the end of Summer. Whatever that means. Pretty hyped.
-
Wait…are they just chucking 20-30 new eps at us or something? If they had that many episodes just chilling around, why didn't they just spread them out and premier them every thursday back in May or something?
Whatever, I welcome new SU eps, but this is just ridiculously odd.
-
Finally! I needed my SU fix
-
I'm pumped for my fix on SU, asides from thinking the formart of Summer of Steven wierd. But with the end of the rest of the 3rd season comes the hiatus back, and with no signs of how long it will take because we have no info on the progress of season 4&5, I belive so.

Because CN is dumb.

New episodes for the whole summer?!
It's lit fam!

This reeks of burning a series off. If the rebranded seasons Four and Five come quickly, then we'll know it is.

That would suck, but at the same time… if the series keeps going at the pace it has been, and reaches a natural conclusion/stopping point by the end of the former season 3, and tops out at 150 or so episodes, (the equivalent of a traditional 22 minute show getting 75) I'd be pretty content with that.
Better than running well past its prime and never finishing anything the way Adventure Time has been doing for a couple years now.
-
Ehhh…I'd rather the show slow down a bit much like AT and focus more on the characters/slice of life rather than steamrolling the plot forward. Heck, I'd love to see eps of just having Peridot interacting with the human characters. Having her shove Greg off a roof was only the tip of the iceberg of potential comedy. Unfortunately my opinion is far from the popular one as most fans just eat up all the gem plot based eps.

By burning the series off do you mean canceling it or rushing production?

Hating when networks do this "all episodes at once" thing. What happened to weekly episodes? But I guess this isn't as bad as Korra.
@Cyan:
That was brilliant.

Little bit of both.
It traditionally means "The network already committed to and paid for X number of episodes, and they are so and so far into development on the next season so it's not practical to just cancel it now" but they no longer care about really promoting or pushing it so they just show everything they had in order to get something tangible out of it and so they can hurry up with the dvd releases.
It doesn't mean the actual production is being rushed in any way, but it does mean when its done they'll just cram it in wherever it fits whenever its convenient, rather than a real schedule. They did the same thing for Mysteries Inc, Young Justice, Samurai Jack, Thundercats, etc.
If it was the hit they wanted, they'd keep holding episodes for sweeps. Them rushing out 20+ episodes in a month? That COULD be them trying to drum up interest… or it could be them trying to just get it done with. That's not traditionally something you do to maintain interest.

When I say "at the pace they have been" that includes the slice of life stuff, with intermingled plot along the way, followed by the big 10 episodes of plot at the end.
-
Adventure Time is a hit show they like and they have also held out on it for very long periods of time… Who knows what CN is thinking honestly
-
I too want to see Peridot mingling with the humans. I've had dreams. Dreams of her interacting with Ronaldo and becoming bffs.
-
An Entertainment Weekly article has a very spoilery video, but also a nifty musical number, from the upcoming episodes. Proceed at own risk (even the url is spoilery).

! Amethyst gets another redesign also?

! you mean the gem that popped her. remember her gem got cracked after she was sealed in the mirror. @Conekiller:
! Amethyst gets another redesign also?
! my guess Bismuth popped her because she must've thought Amethyst was a homeworld gem since she wasn't around til after the war.
-
I want to talk about that spoiler but mobile doesn't let meeee

! Hang in there, Steven-on-the-far-right ;_;
-
How many episodes got leaked this time?
-
AFAIK Steven Floats is still the only episode that aired early. There's the ~2 minute previews CN puts up and the article preview clips but besides that…
-
Both new episodes was pretty great tonight.
! I will admit I didn't expect Marty to return and he even more terrible then before. I thought it was funny that Onion drink the bad soda with no problems.

I also liked how the success had nothing to do with the character personally
-
! Marty: forever a jerkass no matter how rich. Worst father of the year?
-
Good eps, I love that we're getting right back into things with Beach City. Also damn that ending
-
According to Ian, one of the directors behind the show, the next episode is his favorite. And judging by the leaks and promos so far I think it's going to be one of my favorites too.
-
Dang, that episode just made me tear up a bit.
-
That was absolutely stunning, they really tried with this one because the production quality was nearly top notch. I personally wouldn't have blown off all 10mil on a single night though. :/
-
Gosh. This episode absolutely tops all my favorite episodes. Best piece of television right here.
-
@Mr.:

Unless I missed something I don't think that's what happened. They could have easily given Greg a smaller amount if they wanted his new wealth to be a one-episode thing.
