@Zp1:
A magician deceiving his opponents and not revealing his real trump cards is pretty much what you'd expect actually. Also given what Hisoka's ability set has been shown to be so far, I'm not really sure how him having a clone / ability to control a fake body would somehow be beyond what we've seen the top end already do. Even of things we've seen already (not counting Dark Continent stuff), that sort of ability would still be well within the power set established within HxH.
Hisoka is not the "top end". Ging and Netero, and the king were, you know, people who put their lives in the line for their battles, this "remote control" theory, someone wiht that kind of mentality wouldn't be able to fight like Hisoka, nen is a reflection of the person's mentality, gon is earnest relentless and straightforward, then he has a punch a sword and an energy ball, Kurapika is obsessed by his past he gets a chain, Kuroko is a colector, interested in style over power, he gets a trading card game, Hisoka is whimsical and deceiving, he gets rubber powers and the magical texture. A clone of his own same power, what kind of mentality produces that? Kastro's 2 is better than 1?
Hisoka's nen type is transmutation, wich is clearly the effect of the bungee gum and the texture, while a clone, either autonomous, controlled or astral projection would be a combination of emition, manipulation or specialization, wich are on the other side of transmutation, so they would be pretty weak, if hisoka was lying and he's actualy another type of nen user, then the gum would be weak.
Hisoka's hatsu is based on things from his childhood, the gum and the stickers that came with it, Togashi would need to explain the "clone candy" or something.
He must have a triumph card, probably literaly a card, but it being a ridiculous ability just because he lost an arm and a leg (like gon in his last two big battles!) or like himself in his first battle? No.
