@LordPerucho:
But for him, treating himself> Machi stitching his wounds, it has to be because Hisoka aura got stronger, just logically thinking.
Besides, its not like Hisoka has reached Netero level, lol.
He may have gotten stronger but this have nothing to do with it. He basically said "screwed it, this is good enough" with his whimsical nature. Btw Texture Surprise isn't healing anything. He uses it to cover up his injuries so he "appears" fine but he really not. All he is doing is using the gum part of his nen to close wounds and then cover them up. The thing with the Kastro fight is that he got limb severed. That is a really extreme injury and him just gluing his limbs back on was probably not enough to heal from.
@SpaceCowboy:
He has a point in one thing though, the Hisoka one shot is arguably not cannon. Recognized has quality work? Sure, but it doesn´t go beyond that.
I think that interview certainly goes beyond simple recognition. If Togashi writes a prequel to it like he has mention he wants to do now, then it is definitely canon. If any information from that chapter appears in the main story, then its canon. As now I think of in nebulous terms in that as long as the manga doesn't contradict it, I see it as pseudo-canon.
