Editors hinted at big fight comming around 2 years ago so it is possible that we are getting chapters that were almost done 2 years ago.
I think either way - he is trolling or not - what happened with that comment is pretty bad. If thats his trolling I would feel like I wasted time making arguments in his defense in some discussions.
For fans such thing as trolling break after almost 2 years of waiting for 2 chapters is delicate subject to say the least.
Especially now that boredom, I mean boruto, will be serialized monthly in jump, why doesnt he go monthly as well. I mean he doesnt even have to make more pages, just the usual 20 or so per month, with plenty time to rest.

HxH is very wordy. The manga could switch on the Ultra Jump too. Maybe all these words are too much for the "targetted audience". But I don't recall since when the manga is wordy actually.

The viz translation actually makes Hisoka appear less of an underdog. He gets slightly ruffled only on the last page ("Yes wonderful…and annoying.")

I'm thinking Chrollo used his fortune telling ability that he stole to predict the outcome of the fight and maybe used the prediction to his advantage.
Hopefully not as I'm pulling for Hisoka, but I just don't see him accepting the fight if the fortune predicted his death.

One thing's for sure, he didn't lose the abilities he'd stolen before changing the rules of his book because in this chapter he says he acquired the abilty "moon and sun" in Meteor City. Or maybe Neon Nostrade is dead, but why would she be dead ?

Yeh but can't he predict Hisoka future? if I remember correctly he only needs his (name + bloodtype + birthdate) and he have these informations since he alredy predicted his future before in Yorknew arc.
He needs him in front of him if i recall right or just a picture.. well, however if he wants to predict someone's futur the individual has to write down the informations tou Just mentioned on a papersheet. Then Kuroro takes the paper and the hatsu writes the poem.
In other word. Hisoka would have to write down his birthdate + bloodtype +name again.

He usually goes on hiatus because of his back pain, and as someone with a parent who suffers with chronic, moderate to severe back pain on a regular basis, I can feel/understand his pain and what he has to endure each and everyday. Can't really think about anything else other than the pain.

Danchou can concoct a very specific plan from beginning to the end of the fight and then test it against the prediction of one of the Ryodan. But this can crumble once Hisoka realizes it and begins acting deliberately differently vs if he didn't realize it.

Its such a game to Hisoka, and Hisoka has been such a constant pest, he wants Hisoka to fight all out, and also know that he isn't holding back. And to make sure Hisoka knows why he lost at the end.
Plus he's probably still holding back some detail or another.

He explained a couple things. His first ability is black voice, which lets him control a living person that he got from Shalnark. he can control 2 at a time. He also has an ability that lets him control he sees corpses as puppets but the ability doesn't, so he has to make copies of people with another ability, that makes copies, which are usable as puppets. That ability that makes copies also allows him to change his appearance to that of someone he touches with his right hand, or change the appearance of someone he touches with his left hand, to his own appearance. This should come off as confusing because it's the point. Being confusing makes it difficult, especially within a crowd, to figure out where Chrollo is and who is who.
The last thing he said, is that the ability he used last chapter, which can make people he put a sign on explode, was gained by a man in Meteor city who died. Usually he loses the abilities of people who die, but as we've learned, some Nen abilities stay after death, and this is one of them, which would make it even more potent than it was when alive. This is what Hisoka has to deal with along with whatever else Chrollo has in his book.
Oh, the bookmark as well. It allows him to use his abilities with the book out of his hand, but only the ones that are on the page the bookmark is open to.
It's a bit convoluted but really fun to me.
But all in all he's too confident. I hope he loses.
this. he is way too arrogant and so obsessed with his collection of abilities that he would rather talk about them in battle first before using them. to the point where hisoka told him that he enjoys breaking men like him, he basically said "shut up and listen to me expose more of my abilities".

I mean, Chrollo has basically spent two chapters loaded with text explaining the nuances of how he has a million abilities and the specific ones he's picked out for this fight and how he's a super genius for it all.
And Hisoka's all "I just chew gum and beat people up."

Did Chrollo just do a complete ssummary of his different abilities. As a member of the phantom troupe(?), you would think he knows about being more careful. Supposedely they all keep part of their abilities hidden from each other. I would be annoyed if he lost because of it.

Well, he has new tricks that allow him to use more than one ability at a time and the bookmark. It might be a clause on those. Or an extra ability he hasn't revealed yet. "And this ability is a thing where if I explain four different abilities to you, and then delete them forever, automatically kills you."
So yes, if that was a catch on his abilities that would be a thing. SUper awful weakness though since an enemy could just attack him the entire time.
Hisoka just stood there and listened to that long 7 or 8 minute monologue. I really ave to assume its just both of them going "this is a top notch opponent and a battle to the death, lets show some respect and let them know what they're really up against and give them set up time."
Because Hisoka would be miserable if the clash lasted only 4 seconds, and Chrollo doesn't get a chance to show off against someone that can really appreciate it very often.
And here I thought Stand Battles were complicated.
