So how did Joa survive Minority world? Was it a clone or something?
Food Luck. What else?

Then maybe he/she is a minority?
I don't get what you mean.
@Spinx:
Don't worry, Komatsu will avenge him. :P
It's the most likely scenario, because Komatsu has Frohze herself by his side :(
So how did Joa survive Minority world? Was it a clone or something?
Minority World doesn't instantly kill you, you are just heading to death. God appeared the moment Midora activated the ability , and Frohze used that moment to seal him.
It's was basically Attack From Behind! + I was distracted!
Go read Midora vs Ichiryu again.
From what I saw: Midora attacked Joa with Minority World, so the fungus went on attacking Joa instead of Midora. Then I saw Joa melting…how in the world could he/she survive?

What do you think Minority World even does?
i stopped taking "seriously" and remembering things a long ago in toriko..but wasn't "food luck" supposed to be the luck in getting new ingredients?
how the hell does that now translate in "i'm so lucky you can't hit me in combat"?

You can't get new ingredients if the strongest man alive kills you. That's probably the..uh…..reasoning??...here
[…] but wasn't "food luck" supposed to be the luck in getting new ingredients? how the hell does that now translate in "i'm so lucky you can't hit me in combat"?
Food luck:
Humans are also considered an ingredient, even highlighted in this chapter with Midora on the chopping board. That's just what happened, Midora was considered food and Frohze tried to cook him. Her Food Luck tried to mess with his head (2) and it allowed her to survive his attacks (3).
Now Food Luck is a legitimate super power, but this isn't coming out of nowhere.
Exactly. It's like "Don't tell Midora! He'll go wild!" and yet we all know, deep down, that he'll "go wild" and then just get made into a complete chump like Jiro and Don Slime did.
Hell, Midora didn't even get that far along before it happened.
Well, kudos to Shima, I guess; he managed to undercut my already lowered expectations.
What do you think Minority World even does?
Can you answer with…an answer and not a question, please?
Can you answer with…an answer and not a question, please?
Basically, only a minority of molecules in that world lives. If you aren't a minority, you die.
Can you answer with…an answer and not a question, please?
The way I interpret it:
Midora activates Minority World
Frohze feels the effects of MW
Frohze zaps away (maybe it was even a fungi clone or whatever, woudn't be the first time)
Midora wonders what's going on (…...........), but feels confident since there is no escape from MW anyway
God appears
Attack from behind
over.

She's cooking Midora rather than trying to kill him, so things go her way as she is cooking him.
I don't think we have the means of understanding what really happened. Maybe Shima will rewind things up later.
She's cooking Midora rather than trying to kill him, so things go her way as she is cooking him.
Same thing really after she has cooked him he should be dead just like how some places cook lobster when its still alive but after the cooking is done its dead it should not stop them reviving him with center though..
Food luck to me is by far the worst ability in the series, and I really see it being brought back up again just so Joa has a conceivable way of beating Midora. Besides Don Slime, most of the fights seem kinda…asspullish?

I wouldn't call Jirou's fight asspulish. The last was anticlimatic but not really an asspull.
Take with a dash of salt, for not 100% confirmed as of yet (from a similar/same source as the One Piece 825 spoilers that were released today, though), but, for now, Toriko 369 spoilers:
! –God Appears (picks up from last chapter), and, is, in fact, the shape of a giant frog/toad. He's a HUGE frog/toad in fact.
--It comes to "Earth" and consumes countless things, both animate and inanimate, every hundred or so years.
--God opens it eyes slowly and consumes the moon whole (jumps to it, 'tongues it, currently unknown).
--It sees Toriko, Komatsu and the rest of the gang and prepares to consume them.
--It targets Komatsu first. It manages to consume Komatsu whole.
--Toriko and the gang begin to chase down God in order to capture it/save Komatsu.
The moon? Doesn´t he care about tides?

! Think the Toriko planet might have more than a single moon, to be honest.

The moon? Doesn´t he care about tides?
! Maybe its about one of Eight Kings.
Without reading anything in this topic, one question: Does it get THAT bad? Does it get so bad that it's completely pointless to really care about spoilers?
Please answer spoiler-free - that is if the answer is something different from a big yes.

Toriko got Beelzebubed
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Not the best comparison in terms of reason when I think about it, but I think it fits the way the quality dropped.

Well, remembering some of the subtitles here I quickly suppressed, I guess that described very well what's about to come.

Not really. Assassination Classroom and My Hero Academia also have subtitles and it is not like it became Naruto or Bleach.
Hmm, I see, didn't really notice their subtitles.
So the rule is 'long, drawn out subtitle= quality drop'?

That or very small sensible moments.
! GODs capture lv is 10000
! That seems awfully low compared to the "Pig Inside a Fox Inside a Tiger"

! It's only a frog inside the earth. Of course it would lose. It doesn't go deep enough.

It's over a specific numerical quantity that thusly denotes a need for surprise of it's higher than expected amount!
so i binged a bunch of chapters of toriko after i dropped it for a while, and now i remember exactly why i took break from it. it's an exposition fest, mostly for uninteresting stuff,
does the author feel the need to tell me what kind of a frying pan some random character is using? or give lengthy expositions about how the food tastes good.
it really kills the pacing of the manga.

It was supposed to have long descriptions of the food though. Lately that's been less frequent and was supposed to be one of the more important aspects of the show.

I personally never cared for it.
Even the idea of an entire world/universe that revolves around gluttony is still off putting to me. Probably because of the almost complete lack of morals that it fosters in the whole series.
-"What, a whole bunch of people just got killed in concentration camps to be turned into fertilizer? That kinda sucks… hey, what are you cooking over there?"
-"What, the end boss is a planet-genociding all-consuming universe-ender? Gee, sounds like he just can't get a good meal."
It makes everyone seem apathetic and self-absorbed when the only thing they care about is eating all the time.

that arc was so terrible, unnecessarily morbid, and weird. the author didn't know what to do with it at all. he made a cooking competition that went mostly off screen, he introduced the weird souls and bodies subplot, and he ruined the arc completely by skipping to it's conclusion and coming back to it?!
and whats the deal with that masked bum? he he was going to do something to kamatsu while he was sleeping, that was never explained either.

It was explained, you just obviously missed it.
after chapter 345? because that's as far as i read. but if it was explained then i guess i deserve to get called out for being impatient about it.
It's out o'clock: http://readms.com/r/toriko/369/3386/1
It's out! http://readms.com/r/toriko/369/3386/1
It can be me very drowsy but what is the point of God again? It is NEO all over again? It comes every few centuries and eats to it's heart's content. This is kind of what NEO does to an extreme state.
Considering this one has 10000 Capture Level the reason why other Eight Kings or Humanity didn't go extinct is Jiji's explanation. This is the first true reincarnation of God. So in other words no one ever has truly eaten GOD at %100. Considering Komatsu is inside it, we kind of know it's special preparation technique too.

I think the difference is that God is an ingredient, and is probably filling itself full of flavor and the like while eating its fill that would be HIGHLY desired by a chef and/or Gourmet Hunter.
NEO just wants to consume everything, and really, isn't an ingredient (and probably doesn't have some orgasmic taste), not to mention, is probably 1000x harder to take down than God when all is said and done.

Shima didn't give a hint of having a 'good taste' to us. In theory NEO should be something everyone would like to eat. Because it's been eating for like eternity. Even if it doesn't give you any nice taste while eating it. Shouldn't it be something that power you up Gourmet Cell wise?
I suppose the answer is no.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Well, everything aside I would like God eating NEO though. Since God is something in Komatsu's realm. It isn't any problem.

Dudes, I don't care anymore. That frog ate the freaking moon.
Dude.
