Please be Rohan at the Louvre! I love that thing.
EDIT: Nop. It's Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan. Good enough.
There's no way they are going to adapt all of DiU in 39 episodes with the current pace. Episode 1 adapted 3 chapters (266-268), Episode 2 adapted 4 (269-272) and Episode 3 has adapted 3.5 chapters (273 to first half of 276). The pacing so far is slightly faster than SC, but not enough to fully adapt a 174 chapter manga. I'm convinced we are getting a second season with 12 or 24 episodes, depending on where they stop and how much filler they add.
Remember that SC also had only 24 episodes listed in the beginning until David confirmed in an event it would run for 48.
On the other hand, I'm incredibly excited for that possible Rohan OVA.
Well, this ep also covered some ground that was originally at the end of the Nijimura Bros. arc.
The added content was interesting, and probably meant to cohere the story a little more, which is nice, but they def overdid the Angelo flashback and I get the sense that they're just trying to make Jotaro more present.
The more I hear of the soundtrack the more hype I get to hear more.
Seriously, this stuff is blowing SC's OSTs out of the water.

The pace will vary based on exactly which arc is being presented. Remember, for example, Part 3 somehow stretched The Sun into a full episode when it really didn't need it.
The thing is, the current pace is ABOUT 4 chapters per episode (As Wags said, E3 included some later chapter stuff too, so it's about 4 whole chapters worth)
We know they'll at least go to episode 39 before taking a break. The DVDs are solicited for that much, they wouldn't have solicited ahead if that weren't the case.
If they stick to an average of 4 chapters per episode pacing, they'd have exactly 4 episodes left over after they hit episode 39. There's no way they're doing a break just to come back and do the last 4 episodes. Even at a flat 3.5 chapter per episode average, they'd only have 10 episodes to go after coming back from the break. Even if they slow that down to 13 episodes in the next chunk, making one whole "Cour", why would they break it up that way? Where they have 39 episodes - Break - then 13? Wouldn't it make more sense to do 26 - Break - 26?
All they'd have to do is speed up a LITTLE so that it ends up averaging about 4.5 chapters per episode, and Boom, they exactly hit the 39 episode count.
I think that's what we're getting.
A lot of the chapter count is action chapters they could cover in like 5 minutes anyway.

Takagi is perfect as Okuyasu, simply a perfect role.
Hoping that Rikiya Koyama get to reprise his role as Kira.
EDIT; Likewise with Yamaguchi as Shigechi.
The thing I like most of Part IV is how they keep the funny mood in a series that is full of maniacs that kill you in the worst s kind of ways. The fact that everyona looks like an old man doesn't help.
Anybody want to talk Part 8? I just caught up in JoJolion and it's been an amazing stretch lately. I mean this greasy sax guy is an amazing villain and all the plot reveals were absolutely worth the buildup. There's a lot of question left but wow I'm loving this part.
I realize this thread has mostly been taken over by the anime again since Part 4 has begun (and gloriously I might add).
Yeah, just did an actual breakdown of how you'd make a 39 episode Part IV, and sticking to the "4-5 Chapters per episode" Concept, so that it comes out to just about a 4.5 chapter per episode average, it fits perfectly:
Spoiler'd both for length, and the titles might count as spoilers for some:

What about the invisibaby?
Otherwise I think that's a pretty fair breakdown.
The invisible baby was a really short arc so it could easily be split between the end of RHCP and Rohan's debut.
Anyway, that sounds like a pretty spot on estimate. I'm quite certain the curren pace won't stick until the end. Looking back at SC they adapted about 5 chapters every episode once they got to the mention (which is good, 4 episodes of the inferior D'arby would have been dull), I can see many arcs of DiU get the same treatment considering how fast paced the chapters are.
Huh. Diamond Is Unbreakable feels very short from what I was used to it.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The Tonio, RHCP, Shizuka, and Rohan episodes together make up 22 chapters total.
By the 4.5 Chapters per episode average, that breaks down to a LITTLE less than 5 whole episodes. Thus why I made them overall 5 episodes.
I suppose you could title the second RHCP episode or the first Rohan episode on my list "Picked Up Something Bad!" to rep Shizuka.
I don't know how they're gonna break down the titles of the eps exactly, they could easily for example make Episode 5 be only half the finale of the Nijimura Bros. Arc, and have the second half of the episode be about Koichi, and the ep itself could be called "Hirose Koichi - Echoes Part 1" for example
but I think the overall breakdown is about right.
Best bro Okuasyu;

Okuyasu was perfect. I can't imagine anyone other than Takagi voicing him, I'm so pleased. Also I did a thing.
cleaned up this screenshot
I really liked the sound effects of The Hand and the visual effects of the arrow when pierced/removed. Can't wait for Bad Company in the next episode.

The problem I have with that distribution is that some 6-chapter arcs would be rushed and abridged, I know that some may seem actione oriented but if you go back to read them you'll see there's much more to them in terms of dialogue. This would be weird because David has already confirmed that the pacing is going to be similar to part 3 (apparently here http://atmarkjojo.org/archives/19027.html, but I don't speak Japanese so I'm just trusting this guy

I immagine it's being split into two seasons like stardust was of about 24 episodes each. So I would have invisibility be its own episode and make Part 2's of a lot of the later fights

We know that's not gonna happen tho.
They've announced the DVD release schedule for 39 episodes already, and the schedule is such that we're definitely going to get a full chunk of 39 episodes before any kind of break.
The question we're discussing now is whether or not they'll adapt ALL of P4 into that 39 episode chunk, or if there will be a break at that point with more episodes to come.
Personally I doubt it.
If they were gonna take a break and come back later, it'd make more sense to split the season into two equal chunks, to give them more time to work on the second half. I mean, if you're planning to take a break, why NOT get some extra time in as much as possible?
Somehow I doubt we're gonna get a 78 Episode long Part 4, so that seems implausible.
Plus, they've already announced the purchase bonus for buying all of the P4 DVD/BDs, and they said you get it from buying the 13 Volumes (39 episodes) they've announced thus far.
I don't believe they'd have done that if they knew they were gonna solicit a few more DVDs and BDs down the line.
ALL signs point to them adapting P4 into a 39 episode series. TBH, it's totally doable. They wouldn't have to cut anything, just up the pacing a tad.
The first "Season" of Parts 1-2 had an average Count of 4.3 Chapters per episode getting 113 Chapters of Manga into 26 episodes.
In order to make P4 fit into 39 episodes, the average count would have to come out to 4.4 Chapters per episode.
That's so close it's practically the same. They'd have to average a PAGE AND A HALF more chapter content per episode than the P1 and 2 adaption did.
That's totally doable without "Rushing and Abridging" especially when you realize that the Opening and Ending are about 30-40 seconds less shorter than past seasons, and they aren't doing NEPs at all this time, saving another 30-60 seconds to adapt material into.
We know that's not gonna happen tho.

Oh that was news to me. I thought it was going to be a 50 episode series like last time. 39 episodes is a really random number isn't it?

Nope. Anime is typically broken up into sets of 12-13 episodes called "Cours"
Part 3 was 4 cours (4 sets of 12)
39 episodes would perfectly fit as 3 13 episode cours.
Episode 40: Koichi Goes to Italy!
@Cyan:
Episode 40: Koichi Goes to Italy!
Episode 41: King Crimson just wiped out the next 37 episodes!
I really likes how they animated the Hand's powers.
Diamond is Unbreakable is not my favorite part, but its adaptation might become my favorite (right until Steel Ball Run 2020). It's direction is the best we have seen David do so far, and the pacing is many steps above the unbearable Stardust Crusaders which dragged atrociously, especially in the tedious first half. 3 cours with 39 episodes total would be the best format for parts 3 to 5. Things are looking really bright right now, and I am glad to have my Jojo Mondays back.
Now to more important issues, I really need to decide who is more adorable, Tomoko or The Hand.
And here are the mirror covers of Ultra Jack and Miracle Jack May issues.

As interesting as I find Araki's redraws of older characters in his newer style, I gotta say, Koichi in "jojolion" style looks absolutely awful.
New chapter of Jojolion is out. Thank you as always Kewl, your effort is appreciated.
Chapter tied up some loose ends
! the apex twins are two useless schmucks yet again, how Josefumi and Kira fused and the dog picking up half of the rokkata fruit. Didn't expect the tsunami and earthquake, but I guess Araki needed to come up with some reason why Josuke and Kira's lifeless body ended up in the ground.
Still not used to the idea of Kira not being scum, but I guess he was an alright guy until the end, expect talking the surfer into eating his own hands.
Damn, Josefumi fucked the twins up bad.
It was awesome as hell seeing him go to town on them like that; just as awesome to see how good of a guy Josefumi was, really bringing back some Josuke vibes there.

Uuhhhh….What's going on with Dio's statue?
If looks like someone ripped their legs off and impaled them with a stone pillar. Cool.
Oh my those twins are awesome. I mean, their entire existence equaled getting awesomely and brutally pummeled not once, but twice. This beatdown was AWESOME.
That said, flashback Kira seemed like an overall good guy, but we know his psycopathic tendencies were there (the kidnaped girl, mentally torturing that surfer. . .), so with him apparently dead for good. . .where is this going? Was Josefumi's intention to grow a third fruit to save his life? Will Kira be the final boss when he's brought back to life?
Wathever, this flashback did wonders to my interest in Jojolion.

Well, Good ol' Kira still loved his hands and had odd tendencies with his food tastes and his nails, but if I'm reading this correctly, he wasn't the one that kidnapped the girl.

. . .
You know, I just realized it's been too long since I read the start of this part. . . .
Forget I said anything regarding the girl.
It's entirely possible (actually, likely) that Araki's just going to retcon the weird shit Kira had in his apartment. Wouldn't be the first time.
It still doesn't explains the bite marks.

One of the distinct aspects of his stand and character is growth. He started from nothing and normally probably wouldn't have survived the arrow, but you can see his stand evolving when his resolve strengthens.
I wonder if he would have survived on his own if Jousuke hadn't healed him. Or if being healed basically forced him to have powers instead of actually having what it takes to survive being pierced..
Full song for Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town released

I think the assumption is no, which is why Koichi is such an animosity l anomaly
You can still easily find it on youtube :D
Anyone else already hype for Gangsta Paradise as part 5's ending?
Well I'm addicted to this opening theme. If I had to rank the various opening themes from favorite to least it would be
1. Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town
2. ~end of THE WORLD~)
3. STAND PROUD
4. BLOODY STREAM
5. Jojo ~That blood destiny~)
As for ending themes, all I can say is Roundabout is the best.
