PEDRO FOR CREWMATE!!
His depiction in the color page sold me for some reason. Otherwise, I don't have a good basis for this statement.
My interpretation of that is that Pedro, Carrot and Momo are gonna ride with Luffy to the wedding, along with the others present in the colorspread (not the ones in the background though). Keeping Momo away from Wano (therefore away from Kaidou) makes sense and Kinemon trusts Luffy enough to let him take care of Momo for now. As for Pedro and Corrot… we'll see their reason for tagging along soon. Carrot was excited about the mission when she heard Luffy talking to Pekoms. As for one of them actually joining the Strawhats permanently... I don't think so.

Jinbe and Purrin
The same occurred to me the other day. I was going to put it in Dumb Predictions.
Two new crewmembers in quick succession. Jinbe and Sanji's wife! It would be a funny twist if he actually went through with it.
We should have seen it coming, really. After all the misfortune Sanji lived through, Oda delivers the final blow. Gets him married!

Carrot will probably pull the Pan a la DBGT on the ship and Pedro cannot be sensed by Observation which is super intriguing (any theories?)

2 of the 4 Minkmen I think are going to the Tea Party are in a colorspread in the forefront. Maybe Wanda and Sicilian will be in another colorspread in the next couple of chapters? I thought I saw someone say there was going to be another colorspread in April…is this true? The only colorspreads we got in Zou are chapter 817 (One Piece Film Gold) and this one on 821. The last one before that was 796 which is 20 chapters between 796 and 817.

Thanks!!! If it's confirmed then maybe this next colorspread will be more centered around Big Mom and the Tea Party themes. Maybe a Japanese tea ceremony?
I feel foolish for trusting the OP Wikia but I didn't think it would mess that up. I feel even more foolish when I looked at which ones they were. facepalm

At the very least, now that Big Mom is finally being confronted I'm hopeful the matter of Jinbe will be settled within a year or so.

The next namaka will be found at the Tea Party.
Sanji is a great chef … but Luffy is a pretty basic guy that just enjoys meat. The next namaka will be someone who specializes in meat dishes and refuses to cook veggies. -

It'd be hilarious if Purrin turned out to be Bonney of all people. I feel like Pedro and Carrot are stand ins for the two successive Nakama that may join at the end of this conflict. Oda already foreshadowed by Luffy saying he'd have Sanji's wife join too, I wouldn't be surprised even if the marriage isn't legit, they bond enough with this person that she joins the crew along with Jinbe. Thus completing the Strawhats.
Never a good idea to try and predict Oda though…

Since Luffy was so excited to meet a ninja, I thought Raizo was going to be a straw hat before his first appearance. But now I don't want him to join, his design is too weird.
I could get behind having him, Kinemon, Momo and Kanjuro as allies, but not as nakamas.Another reason I thought Raizo would join is because the crew could use a stealth based character. But Pedro could fulfill that role.
I see his and Carrot's names thrown around here and I wouldn't mind if any of them join. The crew could also benefit from a strong female character who likes to fight. -

Last 2 Crewmates are going to Jinbe & Purin.
They will join soon after Luffy raids the tea party. Can't see them joining too later on in the series because then they will end up missing out on lot of the SH adventures and makes no sense for a nakama to join at near end of the series…so lets get a new nakama and continue the story together as 1!
SHs should fight Kaidou with full crew - 2 new members, 1 being Jinbe & Purin?

Finding a common characteristic is easy once a group is (perhaps arbitrarly) already created… If a model predicts correctly a new member then, I'd lend more credence to it... For now, it seem more like shooting an arrow, and then drawing a target around it... Especially since Brook doesn't fit.

Yeah, i agree tbh, this theory will go down fast if the new member doesn't fit. For now its just like a bet, pretty much like other nakama theory.

Simply to differentiate his main cast. Before anyone is like "why do Usopp, Brook, Robin and Luffy all have black hair?" Black is just a very common, real world, natural color and all of them including Jinbe have completely different styles anyway.

I mean we must ask Oda himself if we want to know why he chose Orange color instead of other distinct color for Nami, why he chose tangerine as the fruit that Bellmere planted, not grape or anything.

He associates her with orange, probably because that's her hair color. Which unlike Zoro and Franky is not a bizarre hair color, and is actually a normal if uncommon human hair color irl. That's the beginning and end of the significance there.
