The lack of 02 Digidestined mentions by the original cast is obviously intentional and will be brought up down the line. There were multiple references in the film to the events of 02, so something will be revealed eventually.
@The:
Any link for the said interview?

It doesn't say the exact words Nekketsu's saying it does, but from the interview it does sound like there is a long term plan in place.
@Femme:
Tai's trauma could have been believable. He's older now, and he's seeing the real-life consequences of adventures he had as a child in a digital world. Heck, when they mentioned that the fight was going on at Haneda Airport even I had a "holy crap!" moment, because I was just there two weeks ago. He could have had flashbacks of all the destruction he saw in the digital world and been traumatized to think of his family and loved ones being hurt in the real world.
Like "I didn't fight with my friends to save the digital world for the destruction and madness to be happening here!" I think that's what they were trying to accomplish but it wasn't done very well. Matt was attempting to shake him out of it but it translated into a fight between them, it was awkward.
I got a different vibe from it, but I'll put it in the spoiler below.
! I think the end scene with Omegamon represents Tai's hesitance to fight. Yes, somebody needs to stop the evil Digimon, but their fight can cause wanton destruction. All I could think about at the post-credits scene was Tai wondering if any humans were in that building and were killed by Omegamon's attacks.
! It's been said, but Tai's older now and is becoming more aware of his actions, so seeing two monsters fighting and taking into account the destruction occurring makes sense. And while I find it iffy/weird, I think it also makes sense for Tai as the Crest of Courage to be going through this trial. Courage is all about coming to terms with the true gravity of the situation but doing the right thing anyways. From a story telling perspective, it's similar to how the kids had to sometimes go through trials to get their crests to glow in the original Adventure. The execution I can understand feeling a bit iffy. The flashing back felt like a animation budget saving tactic more than anything else, but between the phone breaking and Tai connecting the smashed phone with Kari, and then hearing about how someone got hurt from the monster attacks, I think Tai's story line makes sense.
! What made it weird is Tai's hesitance to talk about it to anyone but Agumon, but it seems like Matt and them realize what Tai's issues are. He even calls Tai out saying doing nothing is the same as running away, and he points out that they are the only ones that can help out to do anything about it. But logic is different from emotions, so Tai still needing time to get there is something I'm fine with.
Finally, I can understand the disappointment of thinking the reunion with the Digidestined was rushed at certain points, both with each other and with the partners. But it wasn't enough to really bring down the film for me.
