Do you guys think that they'll dub the One Piece X Toriko specials considering that they're listed as episodes of OP?
they will dub them because they dub the boss luffy eps.

That is not necessarily the case. Being two different shows, the One Piece x Toriko specials are an entirely different license to the series despite being part of the episode count whereas the Boss Luffy episode are part of the same license. Let's hope they do manage to get them, but I won't be surprised if they don't considering they still have yet to license them and skipped them in their Simulcast.
I personally dont care about the crossover, and funimation seems to be done with toriko. they didnt dub anything past episode 50.
As a huge fan of One Piece and a somewhat fan of Toriko, I'd love to see it released! All of the cast are available and I'm sure Ian Sinclair would love to portray Toriko one more time. There's also the crossover with DBZ, which I'm sure will be mentioned a number of times over the years leading up to it. Might be worth mentioning that not all DBZ specials and OVA's got dubs, such as Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans and Episode of Bardock (although they got released in videogames, it seems Funimation weren't involved in those). It all boils down to if Toei are willing to put them up for possible licensing outside of Japan, and the first 2 crossovers being on crunchyroll gives me some hope. Regardless of what happens, I'm still hoping for the original episode numbering at least.

Doesn't FUNimation have the license to Toriko though? I feel like they could go the extra mile to get the crossover.
I'm pretty sure they also had the license to sub Toriko at the time for at least one of the Toriko crossovers, so not necessarily.
in all honesty i hope they skip the Toriko special, but what i do want them to dub is the One Piece Toriko and Dragonball crossover
I hope they do get the Toriko crossover episodes, I think none of the episodes should be skip and I don't want any of the episodes missing.

I can't really see them skipping one of them though. To me, if they were gonna do it at all, it's gonna be all our none.
to be honest I don't think they are going to do it, mostly because if they did it they would have to dub toriko again since each special was a 2 part thing if I remember correctly with one being on one piece and the other being on toriko (please correct me if I am wrong on that). Hell the original pilot episode for Toriko was a one piece crossover
It's strange to be getting a new set in a few days without even knowing when the next will arrive. Makes it hard for me to set up a rationing schedule.
Does anyone know when the Voyage 5 episodes will be available to stream for Funi subscribers? I don't see One Piece on the streaming schedule.

We'll get it, when we get it. Who knows, maybe when the April releases come out next week One Piece will be on the list.
If not, it just means I get to keep a little more money for another month. lol

I don't get how you always ration these sets. I always finish them like a day after I get them. This series is too good to not binge watch.
Even if this is really the third time I've viewing this arc. Since I read it while the manga was going on,watched it when it was subbed and now watching the dub.
I am in agreement with Luffy Fan, i can never seem to ration the one piece episodes, i always end up finishing them in like two days and i am very confident there will be a one piece Voyage in April, i dont think they would allow the gap to be that long
I just went and bought collections 10-13 and am gonna watch them with my sibling who I just introduced to One Piece and who has never seen Water 7 or Ennies lobby before. To ration this out and because the main TV is gonna be used I'm keeping the episodes per day to a 4 per day thing, so there's time to reflect
In two months I basically went from Luffy in the barrel to Luffy vs Aokiji so now that I got a version to see on DVD, I'm gonna drag it out a little more
I usually watch the sets the day I get them. Just to make sure that I didn't got any glitch discs and stuff.

I have had at least 3 discs that have had glitches, but never bothered getting them fixed(usually episodes I don't care about or not too bad of a glitch(just like one episode or something)) Probably will regret that later.
It's easy to ration because I watch plenty of other shows and am generally pretty busy. Plus, if I have the extra time I just rewatch that week's episode(s).
Though I vastly prefer two new episodes a week rather than one. Which is why the 6-week schedule works best for me.
So when will funimation put the next dubbed episodes on their website? Nothing on their schedule yet
I think it goes up tomorrow; they probably just forgot to post it.
Welp. Guess they're not putting the voyages up 2 weeks early to stream anymore. That's a shame, though I suppose not uploading them in advance is better for DVD sales, so I can't blame 'em.
OMG well this sucks, i was really looking forward to this set of episodes

Says who? Maybe they're just not online yet.

well One Piece isnt even on the schedule anymore and i doubt that was a mistake
and just looked further ahead in the schedule and the Fairy Tail episodes are not going to be streamed two weeks advance anymore

Well this sucks, I imagine this has something to do with FUNimation Now and to help DVD sales.

Maybe this is just a bump in the road due to all the rebranding and FNOW?
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Sounds like I'll be dropping the service once Seraph's season ends. This is bullshit. They sell you one thing, then drop it without warning or addressing a reason.
I've been buying the DVDs, but have appreciated the early access.
This is probably just a minor set back, because Funi is updating it's streaming service.
I never used it for One Piece anyway, so I really don't care.
I'm unsubscribing. Early One Piece was the only thing I used it for.

Yep i am as well, i only subscribed for early One Piece and Fairy Tail
I feel like there is a mistake, so I'm gonna wait before I unsubscribe.
Wait? Since when did speculations and rumors became true facts? Why are people unsubbing from Funi if they didn't announce anything from their website yet? Maybe they could announce a simulcast dub of the show? Like I wouldn't know since I'm not into the anime rumor mill and speculations smack? Like guys? Have a little patients with them. I'm sure they have their reasons why? (Probably under a contract to not say anything.) I don't work for the anime Industry. So I can't say if all dubbing companies remind silent to their Fanbase. Someone asks me in the comments if this is true or not? :/
Well here it is the next morning and still no episodes so seems everyones fears must be correct
Voyage 5 already shipped for me. I ordered it from funimation shop.
Hey guys I'm new here but I've been watching these forums (especially this thread) for quite some time. Anyways since Funi hasn't given us any news about V6 yet I decided to make my own art plus my own season 8 covers ya know just to get somewhat of an idea what season 8 will be like. Tell me what you think.
While I appreciate your effort, those are bland, uninspired covers. They're just screenshots scaled into the borders.
I'd recommend using some transparent character renders at least.
Yeah not my best work I admit. I just wanted to give a mockup of how I think season 8 would go. Thanks for the advice though man. I'll definatly make a more official looking boxart for next time.
Funimation has its reasons and that isn't good enough. Might have something to do with Dragon Ball Super not getting a dub soon unless TV rights or something? I don't know that's my conspiracy theory I guess? :/
Yep i am as well, i only subscribed for early One Piece and Fairy Tail
Well to be fair for fairy tail, I think next month they are doing a broadcast dub. Well it's for fairy tail zero, but it is still fairy tail

Oh wow really, did they say when next month
Yeah, Funimation is starting a broadcast dub for Fairy Tail in a few weeks. The next set that comes out in March will get the dub almost caught up to the Japanese tv airing.
! The last episode of the March release is the last episode of the filler before the Tartaros arc stuff starts up in the anime.
So it's not really a surprise that Fairy Tail is getting a broadcast dub this quickly.
Interesting? I wonder if the recents we haven't gotten as much DVD releases of One Piece is because they are working behind the scenes and trying to Secure a Broadcast dub rights for it secretly behind our backs? If rocky were here on the forum today? He'll damage control on how Funimation cares more about Fairy Tail than they do of One Piece? lol
Probably not. Including the release that comes out at the end of the month, We still like 280 episodes behind. I doubt we ever be close enough for dub broadcast, especially with the delays between seasons
For whatever reason, episodes 434 to 445 will be streaming from 23rd Feb.
Oh god are you kidding ? I didnt subscribe to them for this :/
it is a good possibility that it is happening like this because they are changing their streaming service mid-feburary

Hopefully this is a one time thing. I mainly subscribed to them for the one piece episodes.

It sucks a lot for me because I'm just getting caught up with the dub

So is Japan treating Fairy Tail Zero as regular episodes of the main Fairy Tail anime or are they both airing separately
