      Yea, Funimation screwed up when it comes to Hawkeye's line being removed from the episode, yet being in the preview. I've never seen a screw up like that before.

      I forgot all about the screw up of Smoker saying Zoro killed Mr. 1. That was another big one.

      @TheGreatCaptainUsopp:

      I'm pretty sure it's either for when they appear before the timeskip or its for Film Gold but considering that the voice of Pell tweeted that he voiced for Pell recently, I'm pretty sure it's for when they appear before the timeskip. Though, I don't have any doubt that they will be or are already dubbing Film Gold.

      The Straw Hat's don't have a whole lot of scenes though, before the time skip anyway.

      Man people here sure like to blame Joel for everything they don't like in the dub. I'm starting to feel bad for the guy.

      In other news, Sonny Straight posted about how he spent 3 hours voicing Ussop yesterday on twitter. Here's the link. I guess that means the dub has reached the point where the Straw Hat's start returning to the story. I wonder if they're up to the time skip yet.

      @Elektrik:

      I feel like the Skypiea and Fishman Island's "hate" stem from a few different things that they both have in common:

      • They're unfortunately sandwiched between two of arguably some of the best arcs, so its hard for it to shine (Skypiea between Alabasta/ Water7, and FI between Marineford/PunkHazard)

      • They're deemed as "filler", despite their important plot points, until more of the arc comes back as important (once Eneru, Shyarley's prophecy, Reverie, and the ancient weapons becomes relevant in the story again, hopefully this delusion will stop, similar to Jaya being "more" important once we saw what happened to characters like Blackbeard and Bellamy)

      • They both have pacing issues (though this is an anime only problem for the most part)

      Besides those points, I think the adventure-tone and Eneru as a whole are redeeming qualities for Skypiea, while FI's only real redeeming quality is that the crew is back together after such a long time (although they get split again rather quickly)

      My biggest issue with FI is Hody's entire plot felt like a Shaggy Dog story, while Enel's plot did not.

      ! The fact that Hody overdosed on his steroids and was more or less doomed anyway, ruined the arc for me. I know a lot of people would have been killed, but in 24 hours his entire empire would have been destroyed, regardless of anything the Straw Hat's did.

      @Elan_Morin:

      Its funny. The two arcs that get the most hate, Skypeia and Fishman Island, contain some of the series most important plot points.

      I personally love Skypiea, but hate Fishman Island with a passion. It only really becomes plot relevant in the final few chapters of the arc, I might buy the set that covers those episodes, but all of the stuff in between that was painful for me to read the first time around. I thought if I read the chapters back to back I might get more joy out of them, so a while back I bought viz's release of Fishman Island and read the chapters in one go and I still hated it all. lol

      ! Aside from the Jinbie and Shyarly stuff. I loved that, but it didn't make up for all the other stuff I didn't like.

      @Metwars:

      I actually really like how there is a really short break in between the two seasons. It is similar to how season 4 and season 5 was. I am so glad that we are getting these episodes faster and are getting that much closer to the timeskip. Hell if everything goes right with the releases we could see fishman island early 2017

      Good old Fishman Island, the one arc I probably wont buy. That's just me though, I know FI has it's fans here, I'm just not one of them.

      Great news

      Rather strange Funimation is releasing season 8 without announcing it first, but it's awesome news never all the same. This is the arc I've been waiting for.

      @TheGreatCaptainUsopp:

      As awesome as a broadcast dub would be, there's an extremely slim chance of that happening.

      Same here, the cast for One Piece is just too big and not all of the voice actors are locals. Patrick Seitz is LA based, for example.

      This kind of reminds me of that episode of South Park back in 2002. Comedy Central gave Matt Stone and Trey Parker permission to say "shit" in just one episode of the show. So they made it into a huge event where they said "shit" over a hundred times and even had a meter to count each one.

      @MasterKingJC:

      I've been watching Toonami every week for the past few years and have heard "shit" verbally spoken on shows like Akame Ga Kill, Mitchiko and Hatchin, and Black Lagoon.

      The word "shit" is also said on South Park all the time these days, whereas ten years ago it was beeped out all the time.

      The word I guess has just become more common place these days.
