The first few pages of this chapter was the best art we've ever seen in bleach for a long long time. Two characters in the same panel??? Physically interacting??? Mindblowing stuff Kubo. But on the other hand, for someone interested in interior design your cross-section of rooms aren't very interesting.

@Louis-1988:
Why not? Nemu, Nanao, Renji, Hisagi and Rukia have all received power-ups this arc, so why not Kira?
Hisagi? idk lol Nemu and Nanao character focus is related to their captain, so there's simultaneous focus there. Rukia and Renji are main characters here, and should not be looked at in terms of VC or not. Especially Rukia.
Kira was dead. End of story, he's a casualty of the "war", bye bye. Kira, I'll bet isn't going to be the final focus here. He looks stitched up. By who? I don't know. But he couldn't have just brought himself back like that, so my bet's that someone else is gonna appear and take responsibility.
Kubo is giving the VC's a lot of shine in this arc.
To me, even having that many VCs in the first place is a big problem, but now there's no turning back. I don't have time to care about Kira more than any other random shinigami. Him being dead was perfectly fine and now something else is happening randomly. This better be important.
I suppose I can sort of see why it might bother those of you who don't read the novels, but this isn't new. Kenpachi's potential and the way his powers work were fleshed out in a novel long before it was ever a thing in the manga.
Somebody that wasn't Kubo wrote a book and Kubo said he was spot on. Part of the reason why I read manga over say, western comics is that I can just read one story and that's it. (I have read some self contained comics)But don't worry, I'm sure he'll get around to explaining stuff later.
@Louis-1988:
Plenty of mangaka like to do it. Look no further than Fairy Tail,
Nice example there m8
EDIT: Add Dragonball to that list.
No you did not just mention Dragon Ball. Did you even read Dragon Ball? The spin-offs elaborate on the already perfectly functional story. I don't care if Toriyama was phoned up, the original 519 chapters worked just fine without cash grabbing spinoffs.
@Louis-1988:
It fits fine with sub-theme of Kubo powering up the VC's this arc.
That's not a theme.
Like I said before, I can see how it bothers some people, but to others like me who consume all Bleach content it flows just fine with the primary narrative.
The narrative of Ichigo bringing back his good friend Ishida and kicking Ywhach's ass, right?
If you want to read the relative novel content I'd be happy to dig it up for you.
Actually I'm interested and would like to hear that.
