! Eh? She just got flustered and let go when he asked if she liked Deku. Given their reactions I don't think that there was any ill intent…
! Because that was an entirely appropriate situation to do that.
! Really, that was pretty manipulative.

! Sure, it could be interpreted that way… but he was just as surprised as Uraraka when she let go so I didn't give it much thought.
! Grapes lost a nice oportunity when imobilising midnight. Don't forget your grapist way man!
! He actually wanted to, but thought passing the test was more important.
! So we finally discover Satou's quirk.
For every 10g of sugar he ingests, his strength increases to 5 times the usual for 3 mins.
However, while using his quirk, his brain activity is substantially reduced.

! A true hero then!

! I get the impression that he really didn't mean to fluster Ochako, and was just bringing up an inappropriate topic at the most inappropriate time. He doesn't appear to be focused at all.
! Given how little we know about him though, I wouldn't be surprised if he really was manipulating her.

! Pretty much this. His character quirk so far just seems to be making an attempt at being/sounding cool and falling flat - cue the tears/facefault.

! So he's a bit like the Hulk, but with Sugar instead of Anger?
! I wonder if the teachers considered putting him and Kaminari in the same team at some point, but then decided that'd be a little too harsh.
! So Iida and…Invisible Girl? won offscreen?
! Pretty much.
In Iida's case, he actually didn't make it to the exit, but Ojiro succeeded, earning his team a pass. Excavator sensei was impressed with his ability to maneuver despite highly uneven terrain.
Invisible girl made it largely thanks to Tentakoll. His super senses proved to be a great match against Snipe's sniping skills. I imagine they also allowed him to keep track of Invisible girl's whereabouts.

! It was a hide & seek match apparently for Tooru and Shouji.
! And there's probably a funny story on how Iida got stuck like that.
! I'm a bit confused on Cementoss, though. It appears he was being unfairly harsh by making it impossible for them to leave his concrete trap even when they tried their best to escape.

! According to Recovery Girl, the hardest tests are All Might, Present Mic, Cementoss, and Midnight, presumably due to the way their quirks work. None of them (except maybe All Might) went easy on the students, so it's understandable that the manly pair failed.
RIP FA, they got affected from the guy that got arrested
It seems the English scan won't be out so soon so here's a summary from the Chinese chapter to tide things over:
! Sugarman and Kirishima do their best to pummel Cementoss' waves of cement, but there's just no end to them!
Sugarman's quirk is "Sugar Doping": For every 10g of sugar he ingests, his strength increases to 5 times his original for 3 minutes. However, while using this quirk, his brain activity is slowed.
Meanwhile, Ojiro has successfully fulfilled the passing criteria. Excavator sensei is impressed with his manoeuvrability over uneven terrain.
! With 5 minutes left, Ochako and I Cannot Stop Twinkling are in a bit of a pinch. No. 13 has managed to catch up with them a couple steps away from the escape gate and is relentlessly Black Holing the both of them. He remarks that while he has little combat ability, he's pretty skilled at capturing things.
I Cannot Stop Twinkling decides to fight back by showing off the perks of his hero costume. It's been designed such that he can channel his Laser from the Navel to any part of his body (that has an outlet probably), and he demonstrates it by shooting his laser from his knees!
Only to have it sucked into the Black Hole.
That wasn't cool at all.
Ochako desperately tries to think of a plan - "If Deku were here, what would he do?"
I Cannot Stop Twinkling interrupts her thinking by asking her if she was thinking of what Deku would do in their situation, and if perhaps, she is in love with him?
Ochako, flustered, lets go of the railing. No. 13 is caught off guard and quickly closes up his Black Hole.
! Meanwhile, Tentakoll and Invisible Girl have fulfilled the criteria. Only a few teams are left, namely the Sugarman/Kirishima group, the Kaminari/Ashido group, the Ochako/Twinkling group…
Recovery Girl thinks that as long as they have sufficient fighting spirit, they'll have a chance to pass.
But if they're like Mineta then they're hopeless.
She reveals that All Might, Present Mic, Cementoss, and Midnight's tests are all of markedly high difficulty, so it's inevitable that some of the students will feel they're facing impossible and unbeatable odds.
Midnight chides Mineta for running away from the gate (where she's waiting).
Midnight's quirk is "Sleep Scent": Her body releases a scent that will cause anyone who breathes it to fall into a deep sleep. It's more effective on males than females!
Mineta is furiously envious of Sero (to the point of crying blood), thinking how if Sero hadn't saved him, he'd be the one sleeping on Midnight's lap right now.
Recovery Girl explains that Yuuei's teaching philosophy is throwing obstacles at students and letting them figure out how to overcome them themselves. To achieve this, a "concrete goal" is absolutely necessary. If all you want is "to be a hero", there won't be any future for you there. So whether Mineta will be able to pass is going to depend on what his "concrete goal" is...
"I want to touch girls and be liked." That's too direct!
! At that moment, Ochako's team fulfilled the criteria, thanks to Ochako's training with Gunhead.
Mineta hears this and keeps complaining about how outrageously unfair their test against Midnight is. That's when he remembers what Tsuyu asked him: "Do you really want to be a hero?"
It seems Mineta has always been unpopular. He thought if he became a hero, he could be popular with all the girls.
Suddenly a whip! It would've been a sure win for Midnight if she'd stayed by the escape gate, but her sadist heart just can't take letting a cowering prey escape just like that.
Mineta is terrified! And struggles not to breathe because the Sleep Scent is in the air. Midnight has fun toying with the little grape, while Mineta reflects on what he's experienced since coming to Yuuei. It's not being a hero that makes you cool. It's being cool that makes you a hero! That's when he remembers Deku!
Midnight continues to taunt and toy with him, but suddenly, Mineta reveals that it's inconceivable for a guy like him to not be a fan of the 18+ hero. He used his weakness to lure her away, knowing full well her sadistic nature, and says that he's doing all this to be a cool guy!
! With a piece of Sero's tape over his breathing holes, Mineta rushes in to perform his Grape Rush, trapping Midnight in place far away from the escape gate!
Even Recovery Girl is surprised!
"I guess wanting to be popular can be a pretty strong goal as well."
And with that, Mineta and Sero pass the test. "Just this once, I'll forget about boobies."
Time's up! Two of the teams have failed to pass.
! Meanwhile, the Villain Alliance has gained two more members! Rotten Jaw and Villain Schoolgirl (who mentions Stain). And I guess Smoke and Glasses guy too (must've joined before them).
Much appreciated, Bond. That's an Aohige-quality summary right there.
! I need to know everything about Rotten Jaw right fuckin now. Someone publish a biography.

! He's obviously Bakugou's evil half following some sort of Jekyll and Hyde experiment. Kacchan will explodesorb him later in the series for a powerup a la Piccolo.
Preview for upcoming Boku no Hero Academia animation:
They invoked OPM very much there.
Lookin good, lookin good. I'm excited. It's gonna be seasonal, right?
They invoked OPM very much there.
A good chunk of OPM's animators often work on BONES shows, so some overlap in visuals is expected.
Really nice! and yeah, very OPM.
Those color schemes….. Oh yissssss
Is the anime going to be seasonal? Please say yes!

BONES hasn't ever made a long runner and all the JUMP properties lately have been seasonal, so it's likely seasonal as well.

I was obviously talking about shows that go for hundred of episodes.
A 4 cour show isn't a long runner. It used to be normal series length a couple decades back.
Those were also made a while ago. (I didn't know Eureka 7 was an adaption, I always thought it was an anime-original thing?) Out of the recent adaptions Noragami and Blood Blockade Battlefront had a single cour. Both did filler material well enough, so that a continuation could be made, too.
I feel like My Hero Academia is kind of a bigger thing than those two, though. It feels like it could have the two-cour season.

Eureka Seven is indeed an anime original.
Anyway, Bones is doing multiple seasons/split cour with Akagami no Shirayukihime currently. I'm not familiar with it though so I can't comment on the filler situation.
Damn Satou. I hope Diabetes doen't exist in your world.
I am sad cause some will have to go to summer school.

Here's hoping the Summer Lodge and the Summer School Remedial Hell are actually the same thing, and that the threat of failure was like with the Eraserhead's Quirk Test. It'd be a shame to knock
! Satou out of the picture just as we get to know more about him!
I hope the losing teams get some critiques in the next chapter, but here are my thoughts:
Losing team spoilers ahead if you haven't read the chapter!
! Satou/Kirishima: I think they could've passed, by moving away from Cementoss, it looks like he has to stay rooted to the spot to use his quirk, and it has the disadvantage of obscuring his view, instead of trying to face him head on they could've broken out in the opposite direction and tried routing him, or splitting up - they're probably powerful enough that one could always be breaking out while Cementoss deals tries to entrap the other.
! Kaminari/Ashido: Kaminari has some sort of transmitter, I wonder if he could have used it to detect the location of the Principal, and used a combination of his and Ashido's quirks to cut the power to the crane.
Satou/Kirishima: moving away from Cementoss, it looks like he has to stay rooted to the spot to use his quirk, and it has the disadvantage of obscuring his view, instead of trying to face him head on they could've broken out in the opposite direction and tried routing him, or splitting up - they're probably powerful enough that one could always be breaking out while Cementoss deals tries to entrap the other.
I was thinking using Satou to launch Kirishima upwards through what looked like fewer complete cement barriers. Being up in the air is a disadvantage in terms of prediction and maneuvering but Cementoss can't reach there as easily either. I think splitting the target is crucial as long as both members can move quickly enough to split Cementoss's attention. If he can handle one without the other getting close, it's all over.

Just looked at the chapter again, and it does look like the cement is thinning out towards the top, Kirishima could proabably "SKLIT" through that. If Satou could throw him at an angle it could give them the maneuvarability they need to clear Cementoss.
@Bond:

! Given how little we know about him though, I wouldn't be surprised if he really was manipulating her.
When I read it, I got the impression he did that on purpose knowing that the pro (forgot his name) would cancel his ability to avoid killing Uraraka. But it would perfectly fit the randomness of his personality to simply throw that line for absolutely no reason.
I want Aoyama to get some screen time, so in a way I would like it to be on purpose because it would mean there is more to him than meets the eye. There are two problems though: (1) I like him because he is helplessly clueless, so making him a manipulative guy would make him deeper but would ruin what makes him interesting, (2) the trope of the effeminate flamboyant guy being actually very serious, insightful, smart and high competent when the time comes is getting overused.
So everything taken into account, it would be better if it was just him being his oblivious self.
Still, the fact alone that he managed to read Uraraka and know exactly what she was thinking should point on the other way…
You know, Black Hole guy strikes me as one of those dudes with an immensely potent power held back by how they use them. If he was into fighting, rather than rescue, and thus adept at using his black hole to wreck people, he'd destroy the scrubs back at USJ and maybe even overtake All Might as the strongest dude.
He has a black hole.

He has a black hole.
He's a pacifist and his power has the potential to be incredibly deadly. He had to stop it to avoid killing Uraraka.
Another good arc coming to a close and without every quirk being revealed, interesting. Thank you mangaka for not letting the entire class pass.
Just when I put the Legion of Doom out my head we get that tease. I want the schoolgirl to carry a large mallet and call Stain Mistah S.
U know Horikoshi is a good mangaka when Mineta actually looks like a badass for the first time ever.
That boobs line gave me a chuckle, creative way for Mineta to outsmart Midnight, i liked it.
I'm happy with Aoyama just being who he is.
I wouldn't like it if there was anything deep to him or if he was a secret agent or something.
I also don't don't it would work at all.
That was an alright chapter? Good for developing Mineta, I guess? Alright end to this small arc (at least seems like it, I think all the teams were adressed) - this time around the right teams were skipped (Iida just had his arc and we've seen some of what Ojiro can do). Nothing really that notable about it to me - I didn't find the stuff we learned about the characters here as interesting as stuff about the other characters in the previous chapters. I am interested to learn more about the villains at the end, though and Urarakas awakened-matrial-arts mode is fun.
I still think that if the class does have a traitor in its midst, that Hagakure(Invis) is infinitely more suspicious than Aoyama from what we've seen in the story so far.
After this arc with Todoroki's vote revealed to have gone to Momo, her vote is the only one not accounted for during the class election, which is coincidently when the villain alliance made their first move. She was one of two students unaccounted for during USJ, along with Aoyama… she claims to have been with Todoroki yet she commented on Ojiro's fight; the biggest flag here was the fact that she was the only one that apparently didn't follow the pattern from Blackmist's displacements. Note that she is in between Satou and Tentakoll - everyone else that got teleported went together with whoever was beside them, but there is a massive divide between Hagakure and Todoroki.

Also, the omake mentioned that there is more to her quirk than just invisibility, and I think at this point she's the only class A student that has yet to have an explanation of their quirk.

I wrote out this theory pretty much word-for-word in both this thread and on the subreddit, a few months ago, and I still agree! Definitely a lot of suspicious aspects.
I'd add that Aoyama being suspicious after USJ ("Ask me where I was." "I won't tell you.") was an intentional red herring to distract us from Hagakure being suspect.
Her absence alone on voting day would be enough to raise a red flag, honestly, because [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheLawOfConservationOfDetail
W](http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheLawOfConservationOfDetail)e never see anyone absent from class normally, so you can bet the one time it happens, it's important.
Wait wat, traitor classmen?
How the hell did I miss that?
Here's my post about it from back then. Now we know for sure about Todoroki voting for Momo, of course.
! So on a whim, I decided to analyze the class president vote in chapter 12, but that set me on a detective trail…
! -19 votes total->20 kids in class->1 abstained/was absent.
! -Izuku's three votes are presumably himself (he did raise his hand to volunteer initially) + Ochako + Ida (Ochako admits it in thought bubble, Ida admits it openly)
! -It's assumed that everyone else (with the exception of Momo's one extra vote) voted for him/herself
! -Ergo, either Hagakure or Todoroki (the only names missing on the board) voted for Momo, and the other didn't vote at all.
! -Todoroki wasn't absent that day (he appears exactly once, in a tiny panel at the bottom of the 5th page of chapter 12)
! -Todoroki only lost to Momo in Aizawa's strength/speed/skill tests. The two of them also got into U.A. on special recommendation- not by the normal entrance exam. Him respecting her isn't such a stretch; neither is him not giving a crap about being president- his goals are much grander. [EDIT: We know Todoroki voted for Momo now]
! -Hagakure is never shown in the voting chapter. Not even her gloves [EDIT: Besides, she always wears her school uniform at school anyway. To do otherwise would be weird]. Her complete absence is conspicuous because every other one of the 19 students is explicitly shown at least once (Shoji Mezo is the toughest to spot- right side of the first panel of page 6- and notable because of that). Her invisibility explaining this would be obvious, but visual absence + missing vote = she wasn't there.
! Her conspicuous absence in chapter 12 alone isn't condemning, but consider her status in the attack on USJ.
! -She's never shown/doesn't speak that entire day until the wrap-up. Not even on the bus (not to imply that she wasn't on the bus, but just that it's almost like we're meant to forget about her).
! -Ojiro is placed in the conflagration zone by the word-of-god/USJ minimap. His own account backs up that he was alone at least. The minimap admits it doesn't know where Yuga and Hagakure are (and only those two).
! -Yuga asks if anyone wants to know what he was doing- says it's a secret- but this isn't too suspicious because Yuga's such a weirdo. Him not revealing is consistent with minimap's lack of knowledge.
! -Tokoyami and Koda are never shown either, but in ch29 Tokoyami refers back to his time with Koda at USJ (a nice alibi that wouldn't make sense to lie about, given that he's telling his teammates secrets about his Quirk).
! -Hagakure's explanation that she was in the landslide zone with Todoroki but avoided his freezing attack is full of holes. Random frozen mook says that Todoroki froze everything the INSTANT he was warped there (FA got this line slightly wrong). We know Todoroki is kind of standoffish, but he still doesn't like to hurt his allies. He told Shoji to leave the building before he froze it during battle training, implying that he couldn't consciously avoid targeting Shoji when freezing the whole building- or at the very least that it would be difficult to do so. Todoroki says (thinks) that Hagakure was lucky she didn't get frozen, implying that he went all-out with that freezing attack to wipe out all the villains in one quick move, so he wasn't holding back at all. Yet we're supposed to believe that Hagakure somehow avoided the attack? Hagakure's account is NOT consistent with the minimap not knowing where she was. Again, her invisibility is the obvious explanation, but the contrast with Yuga is conspicuous (secret on map->secret according to him; secret on map-> "Oh I was over there").
! -Also strange is that she somehow knew that Ojiro was alone and that he was managing well ("You were all fired up out there, all alone!"), when in the very next panel she mentions being in the landslide zone- which is on the opposite side of the dome from Ojiro's conflagration zone. That alone doesn't make sense- how could she have been in both locations at once? She's lying about one, so why?
! Again, neither half alone is toooo convincing of anything, but I can't help but notice how sort of…logical most of the reasoning is. Like an intentionally laid out trail of bread crumbs that Horikoshi would want readers to go back and analyze someday (after the potential reveal that Hagakure is allied with the villains). The most damning evidence, honestly, is Todoroki's line. There's no way that that's a throwaway line. It was included for a reason. tl;dr: Hagakure was involved with the villain attack on USJ, and she did something to help them during the break-in panic at U.A.
! Also, re: the USJ groupings: Izuku+Asui+Mineta are grouped-> They end up together.
Bakugo+Kirishima are grouped-> They end up together.
Momo+Jiro+Denki are grouped-> They end up together.
Ochako+Ida+Sera+Sato+Shoji+Mina are grouped-> They end up together (well, they don't get warped).
But Hagakure is nowhere near Todoroki in that spread. She's right with the "didn't get warped" group.
My Hero Academia: Battle for All for the 3DS was announced in the latest Jump issue. Shueisha going crazy.
! Let's see who they could add in, eyeballing it:
! 20 Class 1A characters, 4-5 Class 1B characters, gadget girl, brainwash-kun, All Might, 8-9 other UA teachers, 4+ non-UA heroes, and about 7 villains.
! They won't add all of those, but they have options.
They make a game even before the anime adaption is out? Is the series already that popular? Usually it's the anime that raises the popularity enough so that extra stuff would make profit. They have a lot of faith in the series, huh.
