And now I'm up to 12x, but let me tell you, getting there was….!
[hide]
This busy map is 11A: Hero of the West.
I can only manage it was a disgruntled IS employee that made this, because I found this map to test every skill, luck, and planning I had as a Fire Emblem player. There's so much to do.
See you have to go to the red villagers to get prizes, but bandits spawn by the 7th turn to destroy them.
and appear in consecutive turns, and they're both enemies. Their AI must be bugged or something, because half of the time they would move with their soldiers, the other half of the time, they didn't move, making it a f**king pain to recruit them.
Getting Pent's handsome son is tough because you have to pray Clarine doesn't get slaughtered by archers (or on one ironic run, himself)
Getting Tate is tough because you have to jet back up to the upper left side to get her. Her pega squad covers more room.
But wait, we're not done!
Once the AI has mercy on you and you do recruit them, if you keep their squads alive, you win a prize. I saved all of the archers through trial and error, but I honestly think the pegasus squad either were morons or felt like going all Leeroy Jenkins (one of them was stupid enough to attack Klein the sniper ranged, like holy crap)
So I ended up losing two, robbing me of my Elysian Whip. But I got a Hero's Crest and Orion's Bolt for the villagers and Klein's team.
Because after getting and the awesome all in one piece, no fucking way was I gonna restart.
On one run, just when I had accomplished the above, a figher killed Oujay….a fighter against my mercenary who had like ~30% hit, mind you.
FINALLY after trying and trying, switching Wendy for Zealot, using Noah's Horseslayer for the cavalier spawns (yes, them too), I got to the boss.
Now is the point where all bosses being on a gate or throne is REALLY starting to become irritating. After several rounds, Klein weakened him and Oujay finally finished him off.
Chapter 12 was kinda dicey:
The narrow hallways make it easy for shamans and archers to snipe you. But once Lilina got her hands on Aircalibur, everything was blessed.
This did take me a few tries, but I managed to finally get .
I jetted to the throne and took down the boss before all of the warriors and wyverns got to me. Lilina with Aircalibur and Roy B-support (yeah Sue support is taking way too long, screw it) absolutely DESTROYED the dragon boss.
So now I'm up to 12x to get Armads. I should doublecheck how to get gaidens, because there is no restore point on a cartidge - you mess up, don't realize it, save to the next chapter, and you're fucked.
I really want the best ending, guys.[/hide]
