That seems impossible considering that the last time Fuji appeared before the Birdcage was set up was at Doula's palace.
And also, Akainu was on the phone with Fujitora whilst in Dressrosa.

It has probably been mentioned already but does anybody else suspect that Doflamingo being shown in chains is actually a clone?
Edit: Or would the Seastone cuffs even work on a clone/make it disappear?
Doula would probably need to be conscious in order to maintain the clone's form.
Can't wait to read this whole ark in one go, it will be glorious.
Doula would probably need to be conscious in order to maintain the clone's form.
And if he was awake, I'd assume he'd continue trying to kill everyone on the island opposing him.

I commented on this earlier with you I think
Yes we are aware that Doflamingo has to be conscious, but could he have woken up created a clone and escaped.
I don't know where you get all the needing to be conscious to maintain the clone's form, we are aware of that. If he created a clone, he'd already be escaped(ing).
I brought up an histroical parallels on Dressrosa with Germany and I thought it'll be something interesting to discuss. Oh and Trebol is still intact, that's predictable
@Mr.:
And if he was awake, I'd assume he'd continue trying to kill everyone on the island opposing him.
Nah he can't, the cage had gone down, informations leaking, his on his last strength (if up), he's only got energy to escape. I mean he had the 3 biggest attacks put on him, Gamma knife, Leo Bazooka, King Kong Gun.
He wouldn't get up again to fight. Even after Leo Bazooka it was a struggle.
I've been seriously confused as to the reason why Sabo was introduced until this chapter was released. Oda is a master.
No doubt about it.
He may have lost panache for his fight scenes (and who can blame him? he's old), but I should have known by now that He always has a plan.
Sabo represents the vengeance. The "fight" that we thought Luffy would have following Ace's death.
Burgess' taunt was so perfect that I can't even. He brought in a dead man's pitiful last request. What a player.
Sabo's retaliation shows all we need to know. This man is on a mission and he is devastated.
Luffy can reach the same levels, but I've always thought that he's the type of character to spare Akainu rather than finish the job.
I would like to be proven wrong, to be honest.
So what will happen to Burgess now that he is defeated? Will the Marines arrest him or let him get away? If he were captured it would interestin if the Blackbeard crew breaks him out of Impel Down or before he even gets there.

You will, i thought the same. Akainu will kill Sabo after their little fight.
Good chapter, instead the newspaper we got tv to broadcast the victory. Jesus sacrificed for all the humans and sadly Law's the new attention whore.
Gonna love that moment when Fujitora throws a meteor to God Usopp and cia.
As much as I love Sabo, I don't think I would have a great emotional impact if he died, like i did with Ace for example.
I really don't know if Oda would go down that road.

I guess he means your avatar. If it's so, i agree with him, haha. It sorta haunts me…
what's on his chest?

I don't if anyone answer this for you but it looks like his helmet or mask or whatever that thing that's always on his head.
Sabo went way too easy on burgess. Should have at least cut off a couple limbs or given him more severe burns
@uniaka:
Pathetic is part of the BB pirates dictionary same as the word asshole.
BB and his crew looked pathetic when Magellan 1 shot them.
BB looked pathetic when he has crying from WB attack or from Ace's attacks? The part where he defeated Ace was off panel wasn't it? Most of the time he was crying from his attacks.
BB and his full new crew run away from Akainu like the wind, even if they skipped leg day, that was pathetic.
You forgot the part where the Fleet Admiral was soloing the entire crew plus the new level 6 boys before shanks arrived.

That seems impossible considering that Fuji last appeared in the palace before the Birdcage.
The scenario gets rid of fujitora ever being in dressrosa. No meeting with the shs in the bar nothing. before the birdcage goes up akainu has a call with fuji telling him to rush to dressrosa but he comes too late.
I don't know how many times I have to say this but just because Burgess is a Yonkou comannder means nothing. It's doesn't mean he's overwhelming strong or whatever adjective you want to use. All it means is he's one of the people that rolls with Blackbeard. I don't get the logic that because he's a Yonkou comannder means he should stand up to revolutionaries number two. People seems to forget that whitebeard had 14 commanders and only four were relevant.
I've said all this since the day Burgess showed up in this arc but I was called names. There is no evidence to date that showed Burgess is overwhelming powerful, stop using his title to judge him. Luffy will be the strongest pirate one day, that does not mean folks like Brooks, Nami, chopper will be overwhelming neither wil they stop been afraid or screaming.
Am not surprise by what happen to Burgess at all, it was expected in my opinion. However, if it was one of the level 6 guys, then I will be surprise. Am not saying he doesn't have any power but people should stop expecting a power in monstrosity proportions.

We're just asking Oda to show burgess hit sabo one time and still loose to him. I think it's not much to ask.
This was one of those chapters I was going to give an okay until that last page.
So first, the whole Burgess and Sabo situation. In some ways I feel Burgess could've looked a little better overall but still have the same end results. I do like the idea of how one of the strongest crews and one of the end game enemies (possibly the final enemy) aren't above being abused. Many stories make the final enemy seem invincible, a force that only the protagonist can beat at the end. It can work in some ways, but in other series it really hurts in the end. Burgess, even with his conniving schemes and being an opportunist, gets shown what's what is cathartic in some ways. Unfortunately, even if he's not the strongest, he is part of Black Beards crew, and needs to show some skill. We only get the off screen results, which can leave a bit desired when all we got was him losing this arc. The only thing we can get is that Sabo had to concentrate on him the whole time, and it took up the whole ten minutes.
That said, I feel it was all worth it with the last moments of Burgess trying to get Sabo. A guy who just got handled no problem and on the ground is smiling while telling Sabo about Ace. Talking about how Ace was a fool for not understanding his own worth, calling both him and Luffy foolish. The anger from Sabo was chilling, and Burgess hoping to take advantage of his anger was a nice touch. Burgess may not have come on top as a fighter, but we got to see that Black Beard crew mantra. They don't fear what may happen to them, and will do whatever they need to in order to fulfill their ambitions. It's disgusting, but in some ways I admire it.
I did get a kick out of the panels showing all the executives down on the ground, mainly because of the one with Senor Pink. The fact that one of his fan girls was trying to stop the Marines was quite funny. Seems that the only one who will be safe is Baby 5, and Franky will have to put that drink on hold, less he comes and saves Senor.
I did like the scene with Elizabello coming into the scene. Being with more normal sized people shows how big he is compared to the average person. Interesting how a fighting king is quite good friends with a pacifist like Riku. Nothing huge, but it was a nice little scene between them.
The crazier part was when Fujitora arrived. We knew something was going on with the Marines from earlier scenes with nearby islands, and Maynard directing people. At first it seemed that Doflamingo had some control of those islands, if the comment from that one islander was to go by. When Maynard was showing the rubble, I thought that those islands were just being told they didn't have to fear Doflamingo. The way Fujitora was talking, I was expecting him just to say goodbye, though that would seem like a waste of time, so there had to be something more. When the transponder snail started zooming in, and waiting for the next page I was wondering what was about to happen on the last page.
Suddenly, a full page spread with Fujitora and all the Marines bowing down and apologizing for what happened. This was amplified by the fact that this event was being broadcasted live to the other islands. The Marines, which to the public has always had the face of the iron will, doing everything for the good of the people, was bowing down. It was admitted that it was their fault that such evil was allowed to go on for so long, and that it was the "evil" pirates that allowed such injustice to crumble. This would be like a general from the states apologizing to an occupied country, telling them it was their fault that the country had experienced turmoil all that time. The ramifications of such news spreading will cause an uproar around the world.
The last page made the chapter go from okay to great. From this, the after-battle scene is wrapped-up, and next chapter we can expect to start seeing reactions from around the world. All things considered, got some chapters to go before we consider looking at the crew meeting up with the Sunny again.

That is not what some are asking. From the beginning, some were confident Burgess will win MeraX2. That is how much they think of him.

Just like WB having a guy like Atmos as a commanders, I'm sure BB has one too, which is Burgess. @KageKageKing:
"Mugiwara-senpai! Let me give you a ride to Zou! "No Mugiwara, let me repay my debt by letting you ride in my beautiful ship" "Nyahoho! Nonsense, the Happo Navy is the most safe way to take you guys to Zou." "It will be us that will escort God to Zou!" "No. It will be me!" "Me!" "MEEEE!"
That might actually happen.
With the look Sabo have on his face sometimes, I wish he becomes more of a psycho later on. Maybe to show a cruel side of the RA or something.

I really wish I can like posts on this forums. :) Everything is exactly just how I felt too. But you can word it better.
Why not just read a better translation?
All I have readily available is mangapanda's and I ain't got the time or patience to hunt for a better one.
Meh. After you spend so many years reading One Piece, you learn how to interpret everything they're saying without actually reading a word.
That is not what some are asking. From the beginning, some were confident Burgess will win MeraX2. That is how much they think of him.
He could have stolen the mera mera without having to fight sabo. In the current story Oda didn't have to make sabos victory SO overwhelming.

I wasn't aware it took so much time and effort to type "google" into your address bar.
You could also try this.
Ace wouldnt have a problem beating burgess in a one on one, why would Sabo?
Also Fujitora made sure the Marines were quick about getting the broadcast out. He wanted to make sure there was no way that the WG/CP-0/Akainu could cover this up, Maynard was ordered to make sure that the world saw Fujitora and the Marines bowing and apologizing.
I think there is something more to Futitora just like there was obviously more to Kuma before and after he appeared on Thriller Bark and Sabondy.
You know what's funny… I'm actually more curious to see where the fuck Gambia is as the other SHs.
Seriously I know other characters haven't appeared as well as Jean Ango... But Gambia is really strange. As member of the biggest SH fanclub he should have helped the fuck out.
And he is even longer away as Sanji and Co

Now that the cage is down, he's probably redecorating the ship, in preparation for the SH's. The fan club gets first dibs on giving the SH's a ride to Zou.

Gambia, Jean are dead. Sanji dead while Nami, Brook and chopper are in Big Mom's custody.

Well, now you are. :3
This is the occasion to see how Blackbeard deals with failure. Personally I don't expect him to be too harsh on Burgess

Zeehahaha…so you failed? It must be fate.

If this was Kaidou or Big mom, I don't think Burgess would want to return home. :ninja: BB is not a stranger to failure.
If Fuji is the counterpart of Smoker in Alabasta then he did a lot from that prespective. Smoker never engaged Croc and left everything to the Straw-Hats, he left to his ship chillin and smoking a cigar. At least Fuji made his intentions clear to Dofla. Some might argue that he helped to make it rain but what about the bomb? He didn't do anything, Fuji just added a little a push to the birdcage but that's more than Smoker did.
BB had so much confidence in Burger lol he even said the mera mera is already his to Luffy's face, what a Joke. Luffy wouldn't even need G4 to wipe the floor with him, but would need it against his foolish captain.
It'd be nice if Law swapped Doffy with some cat or something and took him along to abuse him even more and get more info out of him :P I hope they're already enroute to Zou on Something Kanjouro made(I fear for their safety though).
Side note:
They'd never send Fuji if there was someone foolish enough to lay a hand on a tenryuubito.
Oda is teasing you with Doffy's broken glasses at every chance he gets
I eagerly wait for the reaction of others, but especially Eustass Kid's. :)

Yes. I bet his alliance did something crazy too :)

OK… if you happen to muster up the willpower to add something new to your favorites here's a good link: Slower release, but high quality scans and translations.
The Powermanga team is also involved with other great works and they post here as well.

Would be anticlimatic and definitely not on the very same day we've been following for the past 2 1/2 years.
Curse you,Fujitora!!!
Where's Brannew?I need to put a hole in someone's chest right now!
