@Bartholemew:
I don't believe it's Arlong as well. When exactly did the arm get cut off? Was it in Z's prime as admiral? Besides, is the existence of Z canon, anyway?
His arm was cut when he was 64, I think, so probably not in his prime, but still, probably a beast none the less He retired as an admiral after his wife and kids were killed, 3 years before that, and remained as an instructor.
The pirate who killed everyone on the ship 'cetp Ain and Shuzo and took Z's arm was caught by Z at one time in the past, but Z took pity on him and let him go after the pirate begged to let him go to his wife and kids (or something).
There's an image of Z wounded.
!
He looks angry. Maybe the pirate left him alive to repay his debt. Merciful and cruel act at the same time. You know, letting the captain live after killing most of his crew. Might mean the unkown pirate could have killed Z if he wanted to.
Anyway, the info comes from the Volume 100 "Z" that came with the movie. You know, if Z's past isn't canon, what's the point? Why keep that pirate a mystery if he was just made for a movie character? Volume 0 came with movie Strong World and it's canon enough. This might be the same.
Also, there's the fact Oda introduced a theme of marines wanting to take down Shichibukai system in the manga as well.
Who knows, maybe he'll change things in manga. For all we know, Fujitora could become manga equivalent of Zephyr as the past victim of the new Shichibukai. The wounds he has had to come from someone. There's a feeling Fuji has a personal stake at taking Shichi down. <- this is just my pet theory
Damn, that's longer than I expected. I'm surprised this info isn't more widespread by now. Every once in a while someone comes with a theory that the new Shichibukai is Aokiji, Arlong, insert random OP character etc…
@G8trH8tr:
UGGGGGHHHHHHHH fuck that noise so much
Huh?
