The "Shueisha" Thread

I'm sure there are other situations where there is a writer in manga, who continues a series with a different artist, regardless of the circumstances (be they death or whatever)
Caterpillar artist changed due to death. And as far I know Golgo 13 is currently drawn by different artists, likely due to the age of the original author and artist.

@Kaizou:
It is absent on Issue 24, not 25.
So that thing on twitter was about last issue and not next?
-

It isn't because of old age. Heck, Saitou Production (the production for Saitou Takao and other artists) was created like 8 years before Golgo 13 was started. So, the age doesn't matter.

I don't think it means that it actually going to have hiatus like HxH; I think it means it going to have frequent one week absent for a while (like OP) due to author's poor health.
-
@Kaizou:
Why his feet? (16 characters)
Yohoho! Because he can't really draw this way with his hands. Just kidding of course.
-
The main difference is, here, it can actually finish and move on after a day of discussion

It's like the deal with the HxH being axed maybe thread. If there's confirmation that HxH is legit done, then we'll open it, but even a handful of days in here is better than the endless cycle that the HxH thread inevitably degrades into
-
Hunter x Hunter would just be added to the list of the many unfinished titles
That's why I've become a believer that no manga - NO MANGA - should take more than 10 years to tell your story.
A mangaka normally bangs out (barring holidays and vacations) - 40-42 stories a year if it's a weekly? With that, a major adventure should be told in 500 issues or less.
-

I don't want the HxH thread to reopen. My point was that the conversation should stop even in here cause the conversation had run its course and it was the same old shit as the HxH thread ("HxH should get a new artist" is just a new angle at the "Togashi's art sucks" discussion)
And I am officially done now.

You know this is a One Piece forum right?
It's a shame that Ultra Battle Satellite is getting canned, I quite liked it. At least now I can just hate Black Clover out of pure spite

Then, you'll scream crazily to Kochikame

Kochikame is an episodic serie so it is not really the same thing and I quite agree with M. Hicks

Then, what about Dokaben?
-
If I remember correctly dokabens original serialization ended since 1981 right? After that there was a plethora of spin offs and one is still ongoing, is the original author still involved in those?

It did ended on 1981, but it was decided to continue (not spin-off or anything). And the original author is still working on this, even today.

I'm a little shock the World Trigger Twitter account would say it's absence has caused low TOC position.

CHapters are always leaked about a week early. This week's issue contains material that was scanlated starting last thursday.

I'm a little shock the World Trigger Twitter account would say it's absence has caused low TOC position.
It makes sense though. See a TOC doesn't show the ranking of the current chapter but the one 8 weeks ago. So a missing chapter means in 8 weeks its ranking doesn't count no matter where it is placed, even in the low TOC ranks. So if WT will continously be absent due Ashihara's health problems, then Jump will probably put WT in a fixed spot, no longer caring how many votes WT gets in teh TOCs.
Wt has the luck to have an anime running that will go on for around twenty more weeks, as well as sales of 200k+ and its merchandise is selling nicely enough to already have two games made of it. So i don't see the rankings of WT all too worringly, I would like to see it rank high, but as long s it can run 4+ years, I'm fine with whatever position it got in the TOC. -
Anybody happenes to know the 2ch thread where they usually post the TOC?

The one shot was only okay imo but there was a ton of ecchi, which I assume is why ESJ won't be including it in this round of Jump Start. Will have to see how the actual serialisation version is before passing judgement, but manga with female leads have a tendency to perform very poorly in Jump as it is, so who knows how long it can actually survive.

Whoa, Black Cover just skyrocketed to 2nd place. I'm surprised it's this popular…
Kind of sucks we won't be getting Lady Justice, but it's probably for the best. It's not it would have a chance like with E-Robot. -
Something is very wrong to have Black Clover above AC, especially considering the onslaught of superb chapters we've gotten for the past few months for AC
-
A couple images from chapter 1 of the new series Lady Justice
!
Still seems like it is going to be a predominantly ecchi manga, but in a superhero setting.
Also, here is the one-shot if anyone was curious about it: http://tieba.baidu.com/p/3075430449
-
I'm disappointed that Lady Justice is the one to get serialized out of that volume of Jump Next! It had a lot of good sports oneshots in it….
-
The drawing style seems medaka box, but the attitude of the character is so un-medaka.. It was refreshing for some of the female fan service characters from shonen jump to take their body as a positive attribute, and not "kyaaa sempai don't look at me" or punch out who sees her accidentaly.

Is that means Yabuki is a worst story creator?
-
@Kaizou:
Is that means Yabuki is a worst story creator?
I never read TLR looks side to side suspiciously while sweating so I can't judge Yabuki's creativity
I don't read a lot of ecchi, but I watched some ecchi anime & almost all of them have the worst scripts & most ridiculous stories
-
What magic did Black Clover use to get to the 2nd place!?
I personally don't like the series but I can sorta understand why it appeal to some people.
But 2nd is just too high. 6th or 7th would have been reasonable position for it. -
It's a phenomen called hype. BC gets treated like it is the next Naruto similar to how BokuHero was treated. With the difference that BokuHero actually could hold up the hype whereas with BC we still have to see how its first volume sales turns out.
-
Wait, which series did BokuHero got compared?

So the hype is leading to votes in the reader survey? Hhmmmm.
