You know, this being a Deguchi episode makes a lot of sense.
-
The last week neither of the streams were working. Any idea if it´ll happen again?
(Edit: took me long to post coz I didn´t know if I should use were or was, but I see a link has been posted in the meantime) -
its starting! how many of us watch in JP and then EN sub again?
-
Depends, I only watch it subbed whenever I´m intrigued about the dialogue on a scene
-
New music for Kanjuuro!
Episode covered over half of 755, next week will cover remainder of 755 and half of 756.

754, not 755.
Here's the preview for 692:

very rarely since I started watching the streams. Don't see a reason to since I can get most of the important dialogue from the chapters anyway.

might want to subtract 1 from those numbers. we're not at the end of 754 yet.

Im afraid to watch the anime take on chapter 756…
-
This thing was pretty unremarkable mostly. It was a very mixed bag overall. Art tended to be all over the place. Animation was often very choppy with action sequences that had a very "floaty" quality. Yet there were some that looked decent enough. Also there was some noticeable padding here, though the filler was decent enough.
However Dellinger, Mach Vise's increasingly hilarious floating sound effect (plus laugh and stupid grin), and Kanjuro's intro were decently enough done. Those things put smiles on my face.
The biggest irony is that the citizens call Kanjuro's bird drawing "really bad", but it ended up looking better than most of the art in the whole episode. That bird was the best-realized adaptation within. Though that squawk it made was seriously abnormal, perhaps hinting that it was in fact, truly an unnatural abomination...
-
The Dellinger parts are the best and im fairly surprised how the anime is handling this "fight". I hope they continue this. I wish they prolonged Dellinger vs Blue Gilly though but it was great nonetheless
-
Really hating Kanjuro's color scheme.
Meanwhile, Dellinger and Gladius continue being the best of the donquixote family. I love how they're doing Dellinger.

Seconded, all of this.
Also, I really liked the art and animation on Kanjuro's crappy bird drawing. I felt like it had personality.

Well, Kanjuro is wearing Kabuki attire so the colors make sense.

Dedededeguchi ?!
It was great. I didn't recognize his work at all. Great episode.Luffy:"Then, mine's from 30 years"
Ahahaha! I didn't expect him to use this voice. -

You couldn't be more right!
-
The episode was alright, plenty of action and what not. I didn't really care much for Kanjuro's intro though.
-
The Kanjuro reveal took too long I felt.
Dellinger seems to be getting the better portion of budget and detail lol.
Apparently Elizabetho and Blue Gilly can fly.
-
In the Manga wasn't BlueGily decapitated instead?
-
The animation and art weren't the best, but I liked it nevertheless. I loved how they drew the bird, and the extended fighting scenes with the gladiators are always enjoyable.
-
these episodes have sucked lately. Get to the action already. 80% of this episode could've been skipped

They can't skip anything, 30 chapters behind the manga is about as far as Toei will go.

Well that is unfortunate

The chapters had pacing issues too, not just the Anime's problems LOL.
I haven't been kept up to date with the Anime in a while since I know it's so close to the Manga. I'll wait till the end to watch the Arc. This episode per week thing is killer, even if the Animation sucks time to time. I'm really looking forward to some future events getting Animated :D

yeah and those chapters were pretty lame too. Really good rn though. I thought the anime would skip the lame repetitive conversations and guys punching marines though

The difference is that the chapters took 5 or less minutes to read… while these episodes are 20 minutes no matter what (and still cover less than a chapter).
-
I want to download the episodes raw HD where I should go

Exactly. That's why the early on, the show covered multiple chapters. This episode covered less than 1…specifically 12 pages, including double spreads.
