@RobZilla:
Ah.
I was talking purely from a writing point of view.
Not what it would actually achieve for Fuji in-story.
Hmm, one could say avoiding possible plot-holes is a reason from writing point of view.
@RobZilla:
This would be pretty cool, but it would also be some fairly serious rehashing in an arc that has already gone on for a hell of a long time, even with a lot of stuff being off-paneled.
Dunno, for one, it would make Mansherry something more important to the plot than a reset button ensuring nobody will die in the arc.
As of now, she reminds me, in a very unpleasant way, of the Pain's last technique in Naruto.
@RobZilla:
This is the kind of conundrum I was talking about though.
If Fuji was to be heavily involved in this arc in that way, then logically he should pretty much straight up murder everyone in his path.
We're not at a point where the main characters can realistically challenge the admirals.
However, we're past the point of the main characters being outclassed by the admirals time and time again.
One of the answers to this conundrum is to not really have the admiral fight at all, short of a few skirmishes that end abruptly or ambiguously.
True. But we have conveniently separated the main characters from the side-characters. Franky is at factory, Robin is at flower field with Kyros, Zoro at King's Platou and Sabo, Trebol, Doflamingo, Luffy, Law and presumably Burgess at the palace.
But again, bias and all that.
@RobZilla:
Well his impact, physically, has been minimal.
He's still played a pretty prominent role though.
What do you mean by prominent?
