It seems Oda forgot how to write proper fights anymore.
Zoro fought a Seat without getting so much as scratch from him.
And then I remembered how much Oda had hyped those seats.
One of the most boring fight in One Piece.
Oda doing his best to force Zoro's supposed badassness
down our throat . What happened to those times when we genuinely felt emotions in his fights?
Now it is all about 'hey look how badass Zoro is, look how strong Zoro is, look how he didn't get so much as freaking scratch in fight against a Seat'.
Oda degraded Zoro's character to a generic bland badass who one shots his opponents and gives badass one liner.
Pica was beyond lame .
This entire fight was executed badly and it made Pica look like a chump.
There was Zero tension in entire fight . Pica wasn't any kind of threat to Zoro and he was a fucking seat.
Oda's bad writing continuously ruining image of DD Pirates .
So there are apparently haki levels in One Piece (Zoro saying that to Pica).
God Luffy looks even more idiotic and weak now (Bellamy freaking broke his haki, Hody broke his haki).
I prey that Luffy vs DD fight wouldn't be this bad.
I will give this chapter 5/10 for some plot progression. -

This was good. Given how long it's been since this battle began and how inventive Oda's artwork has been I could have even enjoyed another half or whole chapterof them going at it. This is with me finding Zoro fairly boring and the haki-off at the end was the least inreresting part. I guess it will read a lot better when the chapters are collected.
Orlumbus being Zoro's flying platform was a nice touch, as Elizabello seemed far too powerful to just fling him. Elizabello coming into play at the end was a nice touch. I'm presuming he blasted Pica's remains into the ocean. This is one of those times you really wish there was a handy map of the island somewhere.
Sudden ponyglyph was unexpected. I guess Jinbe's going to make a paper copy or something for Robin, as that's not going to fit in his robes that comfortably and it seems a far distance for the crew to backtrack anytime soon.

it was a nice chapter all in all and it would have been a nice conclusion to a pica vs zoro fight, if one ever existed. but this habit of defeating people like diamante and pika and litterally one single attack is just plain stupid. given that it's bullshit considering the conxtext of the battle it is also for the reader to enjoy the fight.

Well what is there to say. Choreography was really something Zoro would do. Similar analytical approach. Nothing too fancy. But that Haki line is just plain boring. That's most irritating thing after Vergo's Haki transformation, which didn't amount to nothing.

I don't think that's the case. We need built up opponents for him to struggle unless there's something else going on -Like Daz Bones' can't-cut and Pica's can't-find case. I think Oda will keep his Zoro mostly won't be unharmed directly theme until Zoro is up against Mihawk or Shiryuu

No past for Pica.This chapter didn't have anything that I expected out of it and it still rocked.
Three thousand worlds was awesome. Never really gave attention to Orlumbus till now and just like that his move was even better that anything I had expected out of Zoro or Elizabelo.
The reaction of Kinemon and Kanjuro had me giggling for longer than I will be willing to admit.
Junbe's story is too intriguing now. I wonder how long I will have to wait to know exactly what's written in this one. There doesn't happen to be poneglyph reader on AP does it?I guess I will have to wait for Mingo's turn to see Pica's past now.
Any ideas on how the factory will be destroyed now? I place my bets on Burgess trying to steal the DFs.

I will give this chapter 5/10 for some plot progression.The SH isn't your ordinary pirate crew, and Yonko's fight is just around the corner. Big Mom, Kaidou, and even BB. If you expect an all out fight between SHP and Doffy's Crew, then they won't have anything else left for their pre-battle with the Yonko's.
Besides, the SH Pirates already defeated 2 shichibukai's way back when they were still greenhorns, I guess that should explain how they are doing their progress right now.

The haki thing doesn't bother me really. Just as with Vergo and Law, it's just another Seat who thought too much of himself. Doffy had too much faith in his men. He himself hyped them up. Zoro will get his chance to bleed once he meets a worthy opponent.

So Zoros haki is easily over Picas skill with it while Sanji gets cracked against Vergo.. hmm..
Though to Pica haki is most likely secondary skill as he relies on his DF for most part while Vergos trademark looked to be haki.
Even if haki can block slash that does not mean that person that is fast enough, doesnt let enemy land deadly counter - looses. Oda just underlined that hardening plays big part of fights when unarmed fighter fights swordsman.. nothing more
Also this chapters action was really clever move from Oda to put Zoro so far away from Doflamingo and Trebol

I think the fight was just a baseline to show how strong Zoro's desire and confidence is. He essentially one shotted him without taking a hit. Most of this arc has been about fast forwarding the story than any buildup or creativity in the fights themselves (except for the gag fights).

- zoro goes to pica, slashes rocks, then slashes pika in 1 hit.
this isn't a fight that is supposed to be against one of the top 3 of the family. does it seems like some other good battles like the ones against mr1 or kaku. to me honeslty no.

Tis not hard to miss sarcasm when one saw those kinds of responses for months now being written completly seriously.
Why, I just today got informed that I don't understand what One Piece is about. People evidently equalize not liking parts of the series with not comprehending it.
Both sides are guilty of that, to be sure, but in my experience, it appears more often as defense against critisism then as critisism against defense.

Chapter was fine. People forget that the major problem with Swordsmen in Manga is that it's difficult, if not impossible, to showcase a good sword fight without a good gimmick (such as Kaku's giraffe form). Otherwise, you just have panels of them crossing swords, dodging blows, etc., until one gets in the final slash and wins. In this case, Pica's only gimmick was his ability to fuse with rock and use his ambition to harden himself. The complaint I have about it is that he basically "gave up" after his rock body was destroyed. A more determined villain could have pulled out a weapon, such as a sword or Axe (I feel like a broadaxe would be fitting in Pica's case), and attempted to defend himself. Instead, he attempted to rely solely on his Ambition Armor. It should have been no surprise to him that it didn't work, and cost him the fight.
