Chapter 776: The Colosseum Hero
-
^and replace by crocoboy
-
Should Oda resolve Bellamy's pot, I mean plot in this chapter and then go back to Zoro after Pica do whatever the heck his planning, or should he just finish Zoro vs Pica in 777? Remember that he's gonna have to switch to the factory at some point during Luffy vs Dofla anyway.
-
I'm more interested in the animals that Sugar turned into toys (and have now returned to the ture form), what will happen to them? Will Dressrosa open up a zoo in the now destroyed Corrida Colosseum?
Rebecca can become a zoo keeper instead of a gladiator now that it is confirmed she will never pick up a sword again.
Her hands can be beautiful and dirty at the same time while looking after the animals!!
Oh, imagine the cover story.
-
Heard some rumors about the special campaign for the next chapter. I'm hoping there'd be some good news tomorrow.
-
Maybe in the next chapter we'll see the final battle between zoro and pica
-
Pretty sure either Pica or Trebol will go down in the next one
-
Trebol going down in a single chapter, especially since his match-up wasn't even established previously, would be a little too much even for this kind of an arc.
-
Not to mention that Diamante hasn't even hit the ground yet.
-

Diamante is history, one way or the other.
On one hand, I'd like it if he would show something more, but on the other hand, Kyros has gone over every limit.

If Sanji gets back to Dressrosa…
Sanji landed a hit by suprise to both Vergo and Doflamingo.. if he manages to suprise Trebol with his Hell Memories or Grill Shot you might be in for less than one chapter defeat :ninja:
Though most likely Sanji wont get back.. sigh.. -

Even if he is history (as iiiiiif!!!), we will have at least one page to conclude the fight…I think. Like Zoro vs Mr 1 for instance.
I can't see Oda ending an other fight right away. -
@Fire Fist:
I don't think Doflamingo's influence outside of Dressrosa is as big as people think it is. In fact, I would go as far as to say that partially due to suppression/censorship of information, outside of certain circles such as the Underworld Crime Scene and The World Government leaders (and thus, the Marines), Doflamingo is a relative unknown. Corazon and Law went to dozens of different hospitals in various countries over the year, and were all turned away because of Law's sickness, not because they were members of the Donquixote Family.
Well there seems to be plenty countries that relies on him and he seems to put his hands on everything he can.

Though most likely Sanji wont get back.. sigh..Still waiting for the prove that Trebol's weakness is fire…
We only know that his sticky shit is flameable... So why should he be that idiotic blowing himself and SUGAR up?

Maybe he's just that much of an idiot. :ninja:
Well, I thought he can protect himself from fire, seeing how he's had the same devil fruit for like 30 years. Maybe he can make his glue to be inflamable or he can protect himself with Haki.
That's what I thought… until I saw Diamante's treatment. Now I just don't know.

I can only see haki as protection from fire that he lit up when he made Dwarf Toasts.
Like haki being capable of protecting him from explosion etcSurely Oda somehow hinted at fact he is flamable not only for that one scene but very likely to foreshadow his fall(I really dont want Sabo to come and finish off Trebol… Like really really really - that would be something that I would find very akward).
I started to get my hopes for Sanjis comeback - like classic Sanji comes and saves the day scene.
We would not get it if we just get back to Curly pirates fighting Big Mom pirates. -
@Nex:
Have you read this arc? For one, the reason Luffy's going after Doflamingo is because of her. (To be fair, it's because she bought him lunch.) Also, Kyros's character arc could not exist at all without her.
While she has not actually done all that much (outside of winning Block D) she has been important to the overall story.
Sorry for the late reaction:
Luffy would've gone for Doflamingo anyway, to save Law. And he didn't need to see a crying Rebecca to realize that Dofla is kind of a shitty king, seeing the wounded gladiators should do the job.Kyros would also make perfect sense if Rebecca never existed, everything he did so far would've been exactely the same without her. Take Kyro's flashback, replace Rebecca with King Riku, alter a few scenes slightly and voila! Things would've turned out exactely the same. Rebecca also isn't important to deliver a "pacifism is cool"-message, King Riku could've easily taken that role as well. Point is, apart from not having done anything to support the story development, her mere existence is pointless. Oda could've easily divided her character onto King Riku and Violet and the plot would've been the same. Oda, as great as he is, has created a pointless character with Rebecca.
-
As for why Doffy seems so much more impressive than all his men… that's actually pretty normal too. Lucci was almost twice Kaku, Kidd is assessed as three times the threat of the next-best guy in his crew (keeping in mind bounties aren't "power levels" per se), and I doubt any of Ener's inner circle could so much as hit him. The Straw Hats, to me at least, actually seem exceptional in that there's at least two people fairly close to the Captain in strength.
-
Trebol going down in a single chapter, especially since his match-up wasn't even established previously, would be a little too much even for this kind of an arc.
Law is the only one that actually fought him and is badass enough to take him down in one chap, even without one arm. Haahh Just realized guy without leg>Diamante, guy without one eye sight>Pica, and guy without one arm>Trébol, the highest executives getting beaten by handicaped people, lol.
Also #CabbageVsTrébolNotHappeningAnymore:(

Though most likely Sanji wont get back.. sigh..Sanji used his normal every day attacks on Vergo and Doflamingo and suddenly you want him to use his best attacks on TREBOL who is nothing compared to the previous two.
-
Could you please stop talking about Sanji :cwy:
-
TREBOL who is nothing compared to the previous two.
What is this based on?
In Vergo's case, more specifically.
-
Yeah I think Trebol actually is the "strongest" after Vergo.
For the simple fact that he had the most important task about protecting the key Sugar, that he is with DoFla as long as Vergo, that he was the one sitting next to DoFla in the family pic and not DoFla's brother Corazon and that he is the one being with DoFla right now.
-

Well look at how he started up with Vergo and what moves we seen him use against Doflamingo.
Some bacis diable jambe against Vergo and against Doflamingo after getting blocked once he gotten really serious
http://www.onepiecebay.net/manga/One-Piece/724/2So DJ with his entire leg in fire- looks pretty serious.
If he would get back and see Doflamingo fighting with Law and Trebol standing next to him he would easily figure that guy is most likely one of Mingos top and needs to be taken care of(or Sanji seeing Law/ Luffy getting attacked by Trebol or even Luffy screaming to Sanji to kick that guys ass would be enough).
Trebol is one of seats and looked to be most trusted one after Vergo- he was taking care of Mera Mera, Keys to Factory and Sugar. Thats a shitload of trust for Trebol.
He is not nothing compared to Vergo or Doflamingo, he is most likely 3rd guy in crew and old boss of organization/ family that Doflamingo took over after he became stronger than Trebol. -
I suspect we might get a later flashback fleshing out Trebol more. It sort of seemed like he was the original head of the family. Violet also called him the Staff Officer.
-
What is this based on?
In Vergo's case, more specifically.
Is based on Trebol// Doflamingo not the Vergo.
I'm one of those who believe Trebol is one of Doflamingo deadly crewmate. So far he has only been joking around.
I keep getting the vibe that Trebol is that type of guy who Doflamingo himself doesn't want to be pissed off, like as if he knows Trebol will go berserk on the whole island and not care for his crewmates.
And yes Trebol is the Old master that's why Doflamingo is being called young master.
-
Could you please stop talking about Sanji :cwy:
Plz, we all know he's treating himself and the Swirly Pirates to a dish of Fried Lion with a side of boiled egg at the moment
-

-
Plz, we all know he's treating himself and the Swirly Pirates to a dish of Fried Lion with a side of boiled egg at the moment
Sadly I doubt it… Instead we will have a new cook for the Big Mom pirates
-

And the best part is that he is using Pekoms empty tortoise shell as the cooking pot.
-

Fair enough, the "two" in that previous statement didn't make it seem that way.
-

You claim you're a Sanji fan but I always see you whine about him just as much as some Zoro fanboys.
Sanji and co isn't off-paneled for more than a year now for Oda not to reward them. That's all you have to think off.
-
Well the point I'm trying to make here is that Oda don't usually draw a Strawhat using one of his strongest attacks right of the start, he usually makes them start off with their basic attacks.
We seen Hell Memories so Oda can use it off the bat if he want.
I agree that we seen Oda drawing out fights before Strawhats going in for the kill yet he can change that at occasion like this one(IF SANJIS COMEBACK HAPPENS OF COURSE).Some detailed amazing drawing of Sanji giving Hell Memories to Trebol would be sweet.
And I expect that Sanji has even stronger technique of smaller scale that HM but HM would be perfect thing against Trebols flamable(almost certainly) body. -
Fair enough, the "two" in that previous statement didn't make it seem that way.
Yes because I was thinking of Vergo COA haki, if Sanji only used basic Diablo attacks on tough guy like Vergo then I don't see using one of his strongest attacks on a sticky guy he just met.
-
5 color string also seemed pretty normal, I'm surprised that move had a name, Doula can handle Sanji with nameless moves.
-
5 color string also seemed pretty normal, I'm surprised that move had a name, Doula can handle Sanji with nameless moves.
Shaded/Colored Strings was most likely strings imbued with Color of Armanent, not nameless slashes Doflamingo uses left and right.
We are yet to see him use Colored Strings again. -
5 color string also seemed pretty normal, I'm surprised that move had a name, Doula can handle Sanji with nameless moves.
Eh, apparently not.
Sanji bounced back from 5 coloured strings pretty quick and then Doffy elected to finish an immobilized Sanji off with Overheat, another named attack.
-

Sanji is the first guy we've seen Doflamingo use a named Attack on and not just one but two named attacks that looks like one of his strongest.
-Five colored strings
-overheatThis Oda's way of telling us the readers that Doflamingo saw Sanji as a big threat since he doesn't know much about him and he was strong too. Unlike law who Dofla knows everything about from his op op fruit to law himself and weakness, so Law was kinda of less threat to him compared to Sanji the unknown and Luffy who he has been trying to avoid.
-
Shaded/Colored Strings was most likely strings imbued with Color of Armanent, not nameless slashes Doflamingo uses left and right.
We are yet to see him use Colored Strings again. But was as regular/normal as DJ and Premierr Hachis, with the difference that 5colors actually affected him. Sanji didn't used his strongest atacks?? Yeah soo? Neither did Doula.
-
And I expect that Sanji has even stronger technique of smaller scale that HM but HM would be perfect thing against Trebols flamable(almost certainly) body.
What I want to see from Sanji now is an air slash with his leg but instead of it being like CP9 or Zoro air slash it will look more like Jabra's air slash or when Sanji kicks the air he will send a gust of wind that looks like a ball which will be strong enough to leave round holes on objects.
-
Eh, apparently not.

While inmobilezed with nameless move. Doula never went all over on him, for Sanji to be justifed for using "everyday moves" doesn't really help him since Doula kinda did the same.
-
But was as regular/normal as DJ and Premierr Hachis, with the difference that 5colors actually affected him. Sanji didn't used his strongest atacks?? Yeah soo? Neither did Doula.
And how do you know what Doffy strongest attacks are?
-
And how do you know what Doffy strongest attacks are?
Same as how you assume those were his strongest atacks to support your argument while also assuming Sanjj has some other stuff that never used because he never wanted to save his nakama anyway.
-

Well we seen Lucci using some flying shigan and we also had even Chopper using some ranged attack that makes him fire something like pressurized air at distance so we can get some ranged move for Sanji as well I hope..

Admit being bit sour over chances of Sanji getting back to beat Trebol grown over Cabbahuba beating Snotty
-
we also had even Chopper using some ranged attack that makes him fire something like pressurized air at distance
For once I wouldn't mind a picture.

Plot does not requiere him at all, it would absolutely ruin what Oda was preparing for him with BM pirates.
Possibilities for now are;
Law
Cabbage
Or Luffy(in case of Blueno treatement)Besides of them Sabo ain't taking part on thia one and the rest are tired or aren't match for him.
Though the discussion had nothing to do with it and Sanji was clearly used as hype-plot-device for Doula, which is often vice admirals or Sanji's job to hype higher threats.

I'm not assuming but overheat has been his strongest range attack we've seen so far, if you disagree then name another range move that we've seen from Dofla that is stronger than overheat? Yes maybe he has more stronger attacks he will show later but right now overheat is among his strongest he has shown.
You are the one assuming it's not his strongest when we haven't seen anything more from him.
@Sanji part, again I'm not assuming, everyone knows Sanji has hell memories which we all know is amongst his strongest so far after Timeskip, then anti manner kick course, mouton shoot etc
-

Isn't the Birdcage supposed to be his strongest move?
Also, while Overheat looks strong, it kinda lost some impact when Law was able to block it.
-
Here is a thought: can Doflamingo make small, person-sized birdcages?
-
Law stopped Overheat just by swinging his Sword,
