I've seen Zardoz now and I can only imagine what a blast the streaming must have been XD
I actually had a good time watching it on my own. It was just the right kind of strange for me. -
I nominate DANCE MOVIES Month.

-
We need an Aaaaarrnnoold Schwarzenegger month.

Since Gene Wilder month has already been nominated, I'll nominate Pirate Movie Month (by which I mean any pirate movie and not just PotC).

You guys are going to make me watch Space Jam again, aren't you? … :<
-
Hey if it makes you feel better we can pretend my vote for Space Jam doesn't count because I won't be here saturday to watch anyway, so Space Jam is winning by only almost double the closest competitor
-
Not sure how I feel about doing months, there's been a lot of suggestions thrown in and assuming we'll be doing it year round, there'll only be 12 topics… Feels a little like stiffling the variety in a way. I'm all for a Robin Williams month, but I don't know if I could stick with the monthly themes after a while.
That's just how I feel at the moment. I'll still participate until (or if) I lose interest :)

Hmm I wonder, could we make a rule that people should only vote if you're going to watch? I feel it'd be kind of cheap to have a bunch of people vote for a movie if they aren't even going to participate in it.
Granted, this is making me look like a full on hypocrite, as I just realized I was unable to attend last Saturday's stream, and will be busy during this one x(But on the flip side, you could argue that potential absentee people can vote for a movie because they really want the viewers to enjoy it.
-
We could, but on the other hand plans change. I voted when I thought I would be able to make it, but nope.
-
I haven't voted yet.
Now's your time to get what you want. Bribe me.
but remember. Everything comes with a price. -

Don't point out my logical flaws!
No bribe for you, mister! >:( -
If you vote for Riki-Oh, you will get the gift of Riki-Oh.
Provided of course that everyone else gets with the program and suddenly realizes how great Riki-Oh would be to watch.
-
@Cyan:
Any Pirate themed movie block should include the Pirates of Penzance … and Yellowbeard!

Well, the movies are also meant to be discussed sometime during the week, and not just during the live stream, so it's not that bad if people miss the live stream.

Maybe alternate? Do: Anything Goes Month -> Theme Month -> Anything Goes Month -> Theme month, etc etc.
That way we get Variety as well as getting to do the themes.
We trusted you once.
That was clearly a mistake that I hope multivote rectifies.
-
No reason not to trust Wagomu. Zardoz is the greatest movie ever made.

"Anything goes" just seems… I don't know, silly? It kind of lacks direction, you know? But if enough people want to do it this way, we can though.
Well actually... "anything goes" could always be nominated as a theme for the month, and if the majority voted for that, it'd show what's wanted?
-
Every month being a theme month is kinda too forced. An alternation would be preferable. A little spontaneity.
-
Zardoz > Citizen Kane
Also, if spontaneity is an issue, we could shorten theme months to theme weeks. One week it's a horror movie, then the next week it's a comedy; something like that. If Galaxy wants, of course, he is the one running the show.
-
We'll use a random number generator at the end of every month. If 0, we go by theme. If 1, we default to no theme. If any other number, it's Zardoz for a whole month.
-
Maybe sticking to broader themes is another way to prevent oversaturation? Comedy instead of movies featuring XY. Horror instead of science-fiction flicks from 1974 directed by John Boorman. Just a thought.
-
For the month of March, let's try to go with the "month" theme, and we'll see how it works out by the end I guess?
The thing that makes theme weeks a problem is it's 2 separate votes per week, that have to be done within a week.
-
I could support a theme month then a variety month, switching off and on.
OR
We have a theme of a certain actor/type of movie (Wilder, Williams ect/pirates, animation ect.) as part of the choices.
For example=
"For this month its Gene Wilder month, so this week we have Young Frankenstein (next week will by Willy Wonka) as the first automatic nomination, now nominate any movie of any type for other choices." -
Can we have a Movies Nominated by Wagomu theme?
-
If theme nominations are still open:
Tim Curry month
-
If theme nominations are still open:
Tim Curry month
I'll probably close them on Friday, so yeah.
-
Great Idea!
Unfortunately it will be hard for the european people to take part of it cuz of stupid timezones :<
But I'd try it!So you've never heard of skipping sleep?
-
-
-
@Galaxy:
Yeah, who needs sleep? :ninja:
I usually just Second Level meditate.
-
I was thinking for movie theme months, instead of new nominations a week, we nominate once and the top four get picked for each month. Especially for actor theme months where many films would be renominated the next week anyway (not a lot of actors have a filmography that can supply enough nominations for new films every week anyway ;) )
-
Theme hilarious horror.
I nominate TUCKER & DALE VS EVIL -

Yeah, that's probably the best idea. With multivote, it'll be even easier to gauge it that way.
-
If nominations for themes are still open, I'd nominate the theme:
Terry Gilliam films -
We could also do a theme month, then have a poll with all the nominations for that theme month
and places 1-4 get shown.so for example if we take the current Poll, we'd have Space Jam as first Movie shown, then the following week Pokemon and then after that.. well, one of the three that are tied.
This way we save time with all those polls because we'd have less polls. And if we have ties, we could just make an extra poll for that.
We could do the same with the theme month poll.
First theme month= Theme with the most vote
Second theme month= theme with the second most votes
and so on -
Theme hilarious horror.
I nominate TUCKER & DALE VS EVILWell, you've already nominated "Will Ferrell" month, so unless you want to replace your nomination, this one won't be valid.

Isn't that the same thing TLC said?
Edit: With the part you edited in, that depends on if we decide to do alternation between a theme month and non themed month, I guess.
-
… OMG
you're right.
What the HELL did I read before?!

Then I do repleace my nomination
-
Do you have more of those stupid jokes?
I wasn't joking.
In order to achieve more in a game, or catch up with a series, or watch a movie at a specific time you skip sleep..
Simple?

I'm sure it is the case for a lot of people with lives that sleep is fantastic enough a thing, and being productive and capable during the day an important enough a thing, that losing sleep for random consumption of media that could also happen at other times is not a viable option.
Also a simple idea really.@Nami: I'm for sure eager to participate in late night movie watching events to hang out with AP viewers from other time zones, if there's enough interest for that to become a thing.

True.
For me, I can just stay up with no caffeine and be great for the next day. I've done it for months straight as well. I try to avoid it now even though I want to spend more time on other things at night as I can't during the day.
People are just so different aye
