Did anyone see that 6 Part Black Panther series which apparently aired on BET 4 years ago? Its been 4 years so obviously I'm real late gettting on this train but I watched it last night (where 5 of the 6 parts can be found on youtube and the missing part found anywhere else on the internet) and I just have one simple question…
[Hide] How the hell can a flying horse out maneuver a super advanced Wankandan jet!? Seriously, I'm just sitting there in disbelief thinking, 'Well, hell, the Wakandan military defense isn't really all that great if they can be so easily bombed, invaded from sea and land, and lose air superiority to a freaking horse! [/hide]

Ask Reginald Hudlin or John Romita who co wrote the same mini series that the show is adapted from.

To the question =
[hide] Same way a horse on land can out maneuver a car. The key word is maneuver, if you asked about out racing, that would be different. Whether cars or jets , those powerful engines means they get a lot of thrust, more thrust, more time it takes to change direction. Also the larger the machine, the more space they need to turn. A horse has a very easy time turning from side to side and going up and down. A Jet on the other hand, needs a loooot of space for that. And that's real life. Add in 'comic physics' or 'mythic powers' (what ever it is that's making a horse able to fly! could also speed up its durability, strength and speed) and that's entirely new scope to deal with.

Same way a horse can do this:
-
Thank you for all your answers but I'm going to have to go with Nobodyman's. Green's is far too practical and Kazz's is far too logical.
-
LOL I'll admit it, slapstick humor always rules over logic and practicality

Marvel has cast Mike Colter as Luke Cage:

So, black widow has blue glowy things. Suit enhancements to give her paranormal strength/speed stuffs? Obviously not to Cap or Quicksilver levels, but something to give her an edge as opposed to just normal human?

Well she's always had those shock gloves so I bet these new tonfas also shock people.

Those are for the Dance-off she will have with Ultron. Stark Glowstickswill give her an edge in the battle for the humanity.
-
Well, I'm referring to the blu eglowy line going up her side, down her arm, and on the kneecaps. More than just the sticks.
-
Stark Glowsuit, when you have to defend the planet in a dance-off. Coming soon near you*
-
I'm guessing the blue TRON lines are there to add some visual interest to her outfit. She and Hawkeye both had really dull costumes in Avengers 1.
-
At least they've fixed Cap's outfit. That thing was pretty awful. Which is amazing since they basically got it right the first time and screwed it up the second.
-

I was thinking X-Men uniforms but that works too.
-
Or the suit is actually enhanced to giver her more strenght, lol. I think it's just for the visuals though.
-
Marvel gives us an ant-sized Ant-Man teaser:
Marvel you are a cruel, clever little bitch.
-
LMAO, their marketing department deserves a raise.
-
Big deal. The guys at Williams Street did that when they were promoting the ATHF movie. Only they ran the entire film in a miniature box like that.
Not that I'm not looking forward to the Ant Man preview
-
Well if we needed another reason to watch Agent Carter I guess that would do it.
And then we get another Avengers trailer the following Monday.
-
I guess that it is Marvel's year, Avengers II, Ant-Man, Agent Carter…
Nothing against Guardians of the Galaxy (which I consider a gag superhero movie which is not dat important in the Marvel Universe) but I'm expecting movies with The Winter Soldier's level of action. If Age of Ultron is more serious, I hope Marvel will bring the movies to another level, at least it is what I expect from Civil War.

Yeah besides it being one of the best superhero movies ever made and arguably doing more to build up the third Avengers movies (basically the grand finale of the golden age of superhero films) than any other film to date. Yeah not important.

If Infinity War and the GOTG sequels bombs the first will simply be remembered in almost the same sense as the Matrix (good movie followed up with a set of disappointing sequels).

Yeah but the likelihood of them bombing is very very very very slim.

Other than introducing another Infinity Stone, introducing the Kree Empire which plays a big part in the In-humans story-line which'll be out in a few years, the Celestials (well brief glimpses of them) and Thanos the main villain in Avengers Infinity War Part 1 & 2,m yeah not all that important.
-

True, being less liked than the original not so much.

Well aren't you a negative nancy.

Given the reception around these parts for Iron Man 2,Iron 3, Thor Dark World,Spider-Man 3, X-Men 3, & Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Can you blame me for it?
-
Who the hell hates on Iron Man 3.
-

Well, Spiderman 3 is pretty universally hated, not just around here, and Amazing 2 repeated a lot of its mistakes, so… That's hardly an anomoly of opinion. And X-Men 3 is so universally disliked the movies themselves have retconned it out of existence, (along with BOTH Wolverine movies, nevermind that one of those was less than a year old...)
Last I checked basically everyone liked all the Iron Man movies, merely feeling that 2 was weaker than 1, but not flat out bad, while 3 had a lot of discussion about the Mandarin, it was generally considered at least decent if not good.
Meanwhile there's perpetual love for Spiderman 2, X-Men 2, X-Men First Class, X-Men: DofP, CA:Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy...
If the marvel slate gets any knocks, its because they set the bar so high now, that movies that are only "good" aren't at the level of "great". Pretty much the same problem Pixar runs into, where its movies that are only good are called garbage.
Also, Man of Steel continues to be a piece that completely misses the point of the character and deserves all the hate it gets.
-
-
First Ant-Man poster.
-
I see they're going for the minimalist look.
-
Haha was talking to a friend just now about ant man and he was just seriously confused during the conversation cause he had an episode of language confusion and mixed ant and aunt up. His reaction was "huh I guess after gotg marvel do anything I guess".
-

I like to say that Man of Steel tried so hard, I feel sorry for it.
For those too lazy to click the link: Gambit movie has a release date.
First Ant-Man poster.

I enjoyed Agent Carter more than I enjoyed any of the Shield episodes I saw, no this has time to get better but it's already good enough to keep me interested for now.
-
Here it is
-
Jesus, Michael Douglas with a goatee.
-
Is he going to sell me chicken? Cause I kind of want that.

Is he going to sell me chicken? Cause I can't of want that.
"The secret herbs and spices are, for lack of a better word, good."

Here it is
Not bad. All the bits with him in the suit are as cool as I had hoped. Too much Hank and not enough Scott to get a hold on the character, but that's a teaser for you.
-
The tone of the trailer is a bit frustrating. Like, I'm fine with them taking Ant Man SUPER SERIOUS if they have to, but to tie it in with Paul Rudd's snark just feels off. Especially after we pulled off the wavy line of comedy and action that Guardians of the Galaxy pulled off, I'd assume they'd have pulled this trailer off correctly.
Not that I didn't like it. I'm excited.
-
this looked more like a DC trailer, no one wants to see a dark and gloomy movie abouty ant man with paul rudd as the main character, show us some of that marvel movie gold comedy we love so much
-
It reminded me more of a Captain America trailer. Those tend to be a bit more serious than their Marvel siblings.
-
Well, ant-man with it's dark and overly dramatic trailer, didn't really get me hyped for the movie at all.
-

Hank is such a dick, though.
-
Yeah, I dunno that dark and serious is the way to go with a guy named "Ant-Man".
Having a one liner question it doesn't cut it either… not after they JUST did "Starlord." "Who?"
That trailer did nothing for me, I reeeeally wasn't expecting them to go this serious. Sure, that may just be trailer speak, but...
