The Wano arc should be really good. I don't remember what volume, but Oda teased in an SBS that he was going to throw in a lot of his own interests since he personally loves samurai movies. I'm looking forward to it and what will happen with Zoro and Brook since they are both swordsmen.
Chapter 770: Elbaf's Spear

So many awesome things to happen in this series it's exciting! I think the crew will have one final time skip of about 6 months to a year once they reach Raftel where they will train as a crew and decide the best course of action as opposed to Rogers crew who made their choice too quickly. Manga laws tell us Luffy will be top tier by the time he finishes his last fight, you can't have the most freedom if other people are strong enough to stop you.
The chapter was enjoyable for me, not sure what Oda is planning with Bellamy but I feel like we've got some big reveals left to happen before the fight. I wonder if Mansherry is a healer and will be able to heal Luffy and Doflamingo before they fight? Baseless speculation of course but she has to do something important right?

Luffy goes in the front now.

Is the christmas break this coming weak or the next? I always forget if it aligns perfectly with the actual date itself or comes a little early (that never happens to me though kekeke).

There's going to be one more chapter before christmas break.

Agree, Zoro need his own arc. That Law or whatever stole the show in those last two arcs, and Luffy always steal the show.
Zoro simply need his own arc, he is greater, stronger, more badass, handsome … than Luffy and Law. -

…and waaaaaayyyyy more smug.
No man, Zoro is simply confident in his own power.
He know that he is leagues above his opponents, and he don't fear telling them that (Pica).
But when he face enemies on the same level like Fuji, he concentrate and he don't underestimate them :ninja:And yes, the smug too.

Oh, you little rascal!
-
How exactly? He struggled against Dragon, get blown off by cool brothers, defeat Monet easily, crushed by Fujitora.
After the timeskip Zorro hasn't struggled once. Beating Hyouzou and Monet without breaking sweat. Zorro didn't even bother using haki on Monet instead just scared her. While Luffy and Sanji struggle every single match.
His whole fight with Pica has just been him dominating and Pica running away. If Luffy was fighting Pica he would have struggled so much.
-
Sabo taking care of Akainu? I haven't heard of that before. The premise is good though. The failing fire fruit winning against the obviously more powerful magma fruit. I don't know if Sabo's revenge against Akainu is that high though, but his fight would be something special. However what's it for Dragon, who does he fight the Gorosei???
.
Dragon will most likely be dead with Sabo facing off against Akainu as the heir to the Revolutionary army and Akainu as the guy defending the current world state. Maybe.
But don't expect Dragon to be one of the last men standing in the series. Unlike Naruto, One piece is all about the next generation surpassing their predecessors. I still can't understand why Shanks more or less chose give up his dream and stake it on Luffy.

I can't see Dragon dying, myself.
There's a theme of the older generations passing on and new generations coming through, but that doesn't really apply to Dragon.
This guy is in his prime and I expect him to be alive and well when we see the new world order at the EoS.
Also, did we ever really know what Shanks' dream was? He made a bet on Luffy because he sounded so much like his former captain and such, he didn't really put anything aside.

Rascal, in a bad way or a good way?
Your avatar, what is the name of that villain from BnHA? i can't remember reading his name in the manga. -

His name is Shigaraki Tomura, one of the other villains (Black Mist) calls him by it at one point.

Shanks having Roger's hat shows that he had Inherited Roger's dream or ambition of becoming the pirate king. I just don't understand why Luffy would give anyone his Straw hat. I don't know maybe Shanks made a similar promise to Roger(to return the hat) and he gave it Luffy because he reminded him of Roger and so he was returning it to its owner.
If we had seen more of Dragon during the first half of the series, I would have agreed with you. But the fact that the guy hasn't been explored as much, just shows that he will play a role very similar to Whitebeard. He will make a big sacrifice that will pave a way for the new world order.

Thank you!!
He is an interesting character with an interesting personality, his quirk seems weak but i like him.

Wait. what?. Please link the page where Shanks states his dream. I have never read said page thus far.

Anyone have thoughts on Ideo vs Dellinger? Ideo was depicted as on par in strength as Sai, but he's had the least character development and screentime of any of the remaining gladiators not named Orlumbus. Meanwhile, Dellinger seems pretty interesting. I don't know if Oda has laid enough groundwork to make Ideo beating Dellinger and impactful moment like he did with Hajrudin. So, thoughts on if it will still happen, and if so, how, or will someone else beat Delly?
-
I hope I didn't see spoilers from BnHA up there.
Imagine the rage if Zoro ended up skipping a big part of Wano, like Sanji did with Dressrosa. :ninja:

Personally I would prefer Barto to beat Dellinger just because Oda has placed some development on Dellinger and I would not enjoy somebody like Ideo defeating him even though the guy was portrayed to be on equal term with Sai. I wish Oda could develop those guys through out the battles, but seen how Zoro is now getting involved with those guys, I cannot expect much from it.

Sanji didn't have any connection to Dressrosa, so is fine; It be an outrage If Sanji were to disappear during an arc where the Okamas are part of it.
-

That would be hilarious, he get's lost and skips a good part of it.

Imagine the rage if Zoro ended up skipping a big part of Wano, like Sanji did with Dressrosa. :ninja:
That would be awful! We'd spend the entire arc hearing about how Zoro was going to show up in the next few chapters to save the day in some overly dramatic classic Zoro one-liner way. I feel sick just thinking about it.
-
This chapter was a fun read, happy that Belly actually got a hit in to save what little dignity he has lol, hopefully he collapses right after so Luffy can get to work.
Wonder when we'll get to see the Princess and her escape, and what impact she'll have. I already know she'll be a fun character.

Oda had to make Dellinger a half-fishman for some reason. I would like to see him meeting Koala.

I would definitely enjoy Koala taking Dellinger on, but we have no idea where she went to.

Imagine the rage if Zoro ended up skipping a big part of Wano, like Sanji did with Dressrosa. :ninja:
The whole point of the arc would be lost. I'm expecting a country a warriors judging the strawhats for being pirates and trying to kill Zoro and retrieve their sacred sword shusui. That can't happen if he gets lost, in my head this is the place that zoro finally shows what his training for 2 years produced. plus they still haven't clarified the connection between kaido and the samurais so if kaido was from wano kuni or something zoro might end up fighting him.
Koala wouldn't get in a fight after scolding sabo for going off script so her and dellinger wont happen. rather than that I think oda will use the chance to develop ideos character by giving us the reason for his thirst for power. He looks like a guy that just loves brawling to me but he might turn into an interesting dude later.
As for Dragon dying, i don't think luffy will be able to pull off the war with the world government without him. He will especially be needed to help the world after the war is over, cuz the only things left will be remnants of the navy and a few monarchies.
-
On the whole Zoro thing, he's more or less had an easier time fighting than Luffy from day one. Doesn't mean he's stronger though.
-

The only sacrifice Dragon can make is against the Gorosei. We don't know their power really, but as RobZilla mentioned, I don't see Dragon just dying like that. After this arc, we definitely need to gain more clues on Sabo's past and his motives.
-

Well he might have planned for him to fight in the arena at first and have him to control the fighting fish in there.

That is just an assumption. Also, he could have just made him a full-fishman in that case.

She climbed up a tree to watch from above lol.

Well he was a nice addition to Doflamingo's crew instead of just having all devil fruit users lol

now that Oda has started knocking off executives its usually in their order of strength so who do you guys think is next. For me it'll be Dellinger next, then baby 5, lao g, galdius, mr pink, diamante, pica, trebol, doffy and finally Hakuba (Zoro vs Hakuba) you all saw Zoros reaction to cavendish so i'm hoping
-
Im about 90% sure the only reason why Zoro is barely struggling now is because he's going to struggle immensely in Wano.

Pretty much they're gon be falling that order, exept for Trébol and Pica, it's a tradition for the series for Zoro to defeat the last of the subordinates while Luffy handles the boss. So it should be Diamante then Trébol and Pica at the end.

For me Baby 5 and Dellinger could be swapped too. Dellinger could theoretically be defeated after Lao G as well, but Baby 5 definitely won't be the end to the fights of the lower plateau. I would usually say Trébol before Pica but he's so close in proximity to Doflamingo that it might make the transitions a bit weird. Trébol and his eventual opponent could easily move to a slightly different venue to make it work though.

I second this….Oda don't make someone look so good for nothing.
Example: BB he kept hyping the guy up people even started thinking BB can kill WB by himself but then in Marineford war Oda put him down to his level, then he runs from Akainu.Law first introduced in punk hazard he owned smoker, vergo he seemed so invisble but then Dressrosa Oda put him down.
Smoker was a monster always kicking ass but not anymore.
So I believe aswell that Oda is making Zoro look invisible now because he has a big plan where he has to takeout that invisibility off.
-
hopefully he will get his butt kicked by the samurais of wano. it will be a good way for him to learn new skills as well.

There isn't. I just thought it was something that was alluded to but never outright stated. I also think Mihawk hinted at it.

Haha good shout buddy, it really is awesome, you'll love it.

I hoping the strongest samurais at Wano will be like "Who said Mihawk is the Strongest swordsman around let him come to Wano and we'll teach him 'real' swordsmanship" lol then Zoro snaps and starts taking them on left and right to prove if they can't even take Him out, they shouldn't even think about badmouthing Hawkeye. There got to be at least people at Vista's/Shiru's level there, maybe only the Shogun is only that strong though.
As for Manshelly I think her power is 'restoration' she can restore any damaged 'thing' or part of it to its optimal previous condition, i.e Dressrosa's buildings, the bridge and Kyros's leg if he's lucky enough. And yes she can't make people younger again :P
