@Mex:
I hope Hakuba wont show up; I want to see Cavendish dealing with stuff by himself, at least against one of the power level of Gladius (Yes, Gladius is strong but not like Pika, Diamante etc.).
Probably not. It isn't introduced for nothing.

Cavendish said he was getting sleepy.
I also hope Rebecca's fighting style comes back up. It WOULD be a good counter to Diamante.

Seeing how Hajridun actually defeated one of the lower executives, and Cabbage being other league above those guys he deserves the higher executives but there is only one more available for him:ninja:

Gladius and Lao G seem to be the strongest of the regular Execs so it kinda evens out.
Wonder who's going to be on the receiving end of King Punch. I doubt we'll have another one hit KO scene in this arc, after what Hajrudin pulled.

What if Cavendish beats Gladius and then goes to fight Trebol as Hakuba?

I expec Blue Gilly getting back and helping Ideo with Dellinger - some sort of 2 guys combo finisher would be cool.
Gilly gotten King Punched to the face just moment before his "Shooting Moon" landed so I would like to see it landing on someone

Barto needs some fun too, let's leave boom boom guy for him.

Barto can have a full rematch against Dellinger. I really want to see that crossdressing little psychopath go full crazed fighting fish just in time for a barrier to the face.
Barto needs some fun too, let's leave boom boom guy for him.
I really hope for full fight of Gladius and Bartolomeo - they have perfect punk-like design, similar body build and powers that kind of "match" one against another.
I am suprised how satisfying felt to see Machvise get beaten. If every enemy will get at least as good finish as this then I am already happy with closure of this arc
Robin will probably fight Jora once Giolla turns some poneglyph or some artifacts she deems ugly or not 'artistic' enough, to her kind of art. Doubt that she can turn a poneglyph though, that thing seems like it's imbued with the greatest armament of all! Conquerors-level.

I'm not sure if giving Robin a fight is worth back tracking and giving an already defeated character(owned by Brook) sudden importance.
I'm not sure if giving Robin a fight is worth back tracking and giving an already defeated character(owned by Brook) sudden importance.
So you think she's just chilling there doing nothing? even she doesn't end up fighting Robin she should at least be getting in the dwarves way and guard Mansherry or whatev.
Personally I think she's throwing a fit right now, be cause of her defeat, humiliation..etc she could be also tending to Buffalo and what not. Even Sugar who got completlely KOed got back up again ready for vengeance, Jora should scheming something or venting her anger somewhere. That's just how I feel about it.
Well, personally I feel that there would be zero tension in fighting a villain who got already got beaten by Brook. Sugar was just Ussop's opponent coming back again, I don't think there was much beyond giving Ussop haki.
If you mean the fight's about, playing up Jora as a serious threat wouldn't work.
And it would just stretch out stuff further. When 'that day' comes and Robin gets a serious fight, I would like it to be against a good opponent and not someone Brook already one-shotted.
Looks like we won't be seeing Burgess till the end of this arc bit disappointing really.

Oda should resolve his plot and involvement in the arc in some way, one would assume. Same with Fuji. Unless they really were there just for empty hype…

That would downplay both Ideo and Blue Gilly as that would be a 2 vs. 1.

I think Cavendish won't be leaving level 3 thanks to his horse.
@Nex:
Of course this is assuming Big Mom doesn't crash the party. But the only way she does that is if she's Lola''s mom, as there's no way they could beat her now.
So yeah, 15-18 chapters till we head towards Zou.
I never actually thought about it that way. A first actual encounter with Big Mom then she's revealed to be Lola's ma. Then a second encounter with her where the conflict actually takes place as in:
If she does make her formal introduction on/in Dressrosa (or with the crew on the Sunny) then what might save the Straw Hats is that revelation. Big Mom may overlook what's happened between them and let them go for now. Then at the Tea Party the tatemate box (or whatever) explodes and she decides to go after the Straw Hats again.
That's the scenario that makes most sense to me. It would be anti-climactic to have the reveal on Wholecake Island during the conflict between both crews but then again that might be an interesting turn…
Most of the crew are overwhelmed and almost defeated (they are fighting an Emperor after all) and they're saved by the Vivre Card. Then they go their separate ways and the Kidd Alliance take on Big Mom and win.
As much as I'd like to see Luffy and crew beat both Kaido and Big Mom, it wouldn't do the World (Oda created) any justice. I actually would hate it if none of the Supernova did anything worth noting in the New World
lol @Olumbus having a df, not everything can be explained by a df! it's simply his presence. His opponents were the lowest of lowest, a mere foot soldiers, of course they can't measure up to an Fleet Admiral! also they're used to obeying orders and lining up in front of their superiors. He caught them off guard and they simply found them selves obeying his orders out habit. That's how I see it at least :P
That would downplay both Ideo and Blue Gilly as that would be a 2 vs. 1.
If you want to argue with me first admit that you were wrong about fighters from colosseum beating any of Officers
But on serious note I think that it might downplay them or just make a quick finisher of Dellinger. At least it would give him some credit for being so badass that there was need for 2 guys to finish him off. Ideo seems to be a bit beaten at this weeks panels while Dellinger even after getting "explosion punched" looks pretty fine- no bruises or dirt on face, seems like fight is a close one with Dellinger having and edge.
Also it would be bit anticlimatic for me if guy that taken Kings Punch to the face will be out cold for rest of arc from Dellingers kick.
Suleiman on other had might most likely stay KOed as he was pierced with nice pair of horns, Dagama doesnt seem like much of a fighter so he will probably stay offscreen not to downgrade his "sacrifice" from before
That would downplay both Ideo and Blue Gilly as that would be a 2 vs. 1.

@Kyoji:
Oda, you ended Law/Cora flashback to start THIS?
So many shit going on and we have a 15 page chapter re-introducing Admiral Orlumbus? Pika comedy, Zoro comedy, random comedy, Sai and Baby 5 comedy? A giant dreamer? I really hope Oda is preparing something in the future for these guys, if not that was the most useless chapter of the entire arc.
Ok it means the beginning of the end for Dofla's crew, but am I missing something that worth the chapter?
Yes I'm mad.
All this guys will become SH allies, basicly by the end of the series he will have a shitload of allies on his side like WB had, so yes this shit means something and I dont why people complain about Oda being Oda, him making side characters cool and meaningful in some capacity.

What is with that Cabbage vs Trebol thing? Do we really need new member with prediction obsession? Snap out of it man!

He would also need to climb the castle all the way to the top.
Sorry, but I don't really see anything that links Cavendish and Trébol.

About trebol, and if Law is indeed out of the count to fight against him. There are only a couple of people who are relatively close to fight against him. Among them, Bartolomeo, robin and Cavendish. From this 3 Robin is closer right now, and either cavendish or bartolomeo will fight against gladius so the people with highest chances are either Law, robin or one of the two I mentioned before. As for who I don´t have the slimmest idea. For all i know the arc could end and he could be part of a bigger plot, who knows. It feels weird that the boss is fighting before the underling .

Well we already had Zoro comming next to Dellinger for example.. with Pica fighting under palace there is a lot of options for Oda.
Also Luffy probably knows that he cant take on both Trebol and Pitou so he might do to Trebol same thing that
! Netero did to Pitou if you know Hunter x Hunter. That could end up with Trebol landing at Cabbages place.
King loves his Dagama, King avenges his Dagama.

As for arc ending and being part of next arc- this all seems to be Kaido/ first Yonko saga kind of thing for me.
I expect some Dwarfs to go with Strawhats to Zou for some reason, maybe also Princess. Some of plotlines are not even touched as much as they should be as fight with final boss gets to almost start.
When it comes to match ups I expect that Gladius will fight Bartolomeo, Cabbage will end up with Trebol and Robin will end up restraining / taking care of Bellamy.
King loves his Dagama, King avenges his Dagama.
Trebol being thrown from castle and landing next to King just to eat Kings Punch to face would be funny(but Oda would create a plothole if Blue Gilly could eat KP to face and dont get heavily damaged than Trebol should be out of question..).
Maybe Elizabello could KO Dellinger with second small version of KP but big one would be overkill for little guy.. I hoped that next time we will see Dellinger he will look even more like Fighting Fish with sharp teeth / crazy eyes / stuff but oh well. He looked kind of "adorable" in last chapter instead of what I expected

I actually find it difficult for someone to throw Trebol out from the castle mainly because of his fruit.(Unless its through shambles or the like). If Luffy would gomu gomu bazooka trebol I find it difficult to believe that trebol wouldn´t take the chance to take luffy with him, after all he is a "sticky man" so sending him away without the sender being stuck with him is probably one of the most difficult things to do because of his fruit. You can cut him, of course but throwing him that is a harder task I pressume
If Cavendish turns into Hakuba, then he has less chance of fighting Trebol. Since he has a habit of going back to sleep, after his attacks. Robin's the best chance of getting to the palace first, out of the group fighting. And I really hope that Manshelly does something worth waiting, unlike Kanjuro.
Why none has said something about a the words of Hadjurin while he is punching??? It's an IMPORTANT THING!!
He talks about the "KINGDOM OF GODS"!!!! He talks about Skypiea? The mythologie of the Elbaf tribe who believes in a world in the sky where the gods are? Another planet (Enel stuff)?

Where did you read that? The name of his attack has the same name as Odin's spear; that's about it.

In the next panel he says "Fly Fly to the Kingdom of Gods"

Its a metaphor to Heavens/Asgard.
I have this odd idea that the king punch will have to do with picas beat down.
Imagine the online reaction if Zoro accidentally got knocked out by the King Punch, or tanked it… either way the reaction would be amusing. Prodence: "Zoro, to your left to avoid my punch!" Zoro goes right.

That would be hilarious. Zoro is too prolix lately, needs a King Punch Awakening.
More like a cleverly named attack

I don't think it's a metaphor. He said "Gods" intead of "God" or "sky" or "heaven". He explained actually his "politeism", or maybe the "politeism" in the Elbaf tribe. They believe a "land with Gods exists in the sky". That's the same situation of Skypiea. I'm thinking that the Elbaf tribe knows about the "Gods" in the sky and those lands. "Birka" for example, was a VIKING trading place in Sweden, and well Elbaf people are "viking-like" people. So i think everything is related.

Well this arc is being portayed as a playing cards game, with aces, joker and the "trumph card", just google Spain playing cards, you may find something interesting about having a hand full of aces and a hand full of spades!

I just like how perfect the reference would be if Oda make all of the aces get defeated by swordsmen, I mean even Vergo the original seat of hearts got defeated by a sword!, Diamante and Pica are already facing swordsman and with Oda being the master of references, the full of spades winning against the full of aces is so happening!

Buffalo, Machvise, Baby 5… I think Bellamy would beat them, but im probably the only one. Bellamy isnt that weak, most think that because of his beating against Dellinger. But actually i think he wasnt even fighting back, crying he want to die...

Asgard was a land of gods. It's probably part of One Piece's mythology.
Heck, Enel has a move that references Thor and a bunch of other deities. There's also a tribe of Satan worshippers and "hell" is commonly used.
I think you're just overthinking things.

Whoa I never noticed that! Great point.
I would also argue that Cavendish is much stronger than any of the other gladiators. He never broke a sweat in the ring, repelled Chinjao without much difficulty, defeated everyone in his block in an instant as Hakuba, and was the biggest rookie of his year. The guy has a meito named after a freaking legendary sword. If he's never been shown to struggle against anyone so far, how is fighting Gladius, especially with Barto backup, even close to fair? Plus, Cavendish's obsession with fame plays in to the Dressrosa study of hero worship. He deserves more screen time and a big moment.
Also, Gladius mask means we won't be able to see an Oh shit! face when he goes Hakuba. Trébol is undeniably perfect for that.

The 3 main gladiators were all superior to the others. Bartolomeo literally played around during his block and made Dellinger powerless. Chinjao tied with Cavendish when his head was still in a flat state.

I think Bellamy's stronger that those 3 you mentioned. He pretty much showed Luffy his strongest attack, good enough to make the Shichbukai Buggy proud.
