Still… a Ridley that doesn't fly can hardly be called a Ridley... he's right on that.
Yeah, and Charizard should be a flying around too rather than having his feet planted in the ground, Ganondorf should be able to float, and Falcon should be in a racing machine, but hey we're all cool with that. There are limitations that are inevitable when moving characters over to a smash game, but certain creative decisions are aight. Just give Ridley a few extra jumps and a good up B and he'd be sufficient. Or, Mugen's brought this up, maybe some mix of mid form Other M Ridley. I don't really care whether or not Ridley's in the game, but the reasoning for not putting in Ridley is just strange, especially when melee featured ridley in that cutscene working out fine and that the compromise they've reached means that people will avoid the pyrosphere as with Wily Castle and probably Gaur Plains even more so this time around.
Or, best solution, Furby Ridley.
