How disappointing, I expected Dio.

Pretty sure it's Togashi coming back from hiatus to finish HxH.
I would be ok with Naruto not ending if it meant HxH was coming back. I would take the hit.
HxH had a good run, I would rather have naruto rot in hell and never experience any hxh again, lol. Cause we wouldn't get that many chapters anyway before hiatus.

At this point I honestly feel really bad for World Trigger even though I don't follow it. Bottom 8 even with a new anime kinda really sucks…

Isn't the anime still too new to actually affect the rankings?
Isn't the anime still too new to actually affect the rankings?
It's kinda the salt rubbing in the wound considering volume sales haven't been particularly hot either
Or maybe it's the anime that's causing the drop in popularity:ninja:

The problem isn't that the anime is too new, but that it is too shit.
As long as there are series like sporting salt, world trigger should be fine but it won’t last forever. Maybe one year.
WT's problem is that it has waaaaaaay too many characters to develop or care about any of them, and subsequently the invasion arc got super convoluted to little benefit. As someone who hasn't bothered to re-read any chapters or study who is who, every chapter of this arc I was like "oh look, more generic cool dudes playing mind games with evil guys." The stuff looks cool but it's all a mish-mash that doesn't register in the reader's head.
So it's not just me who can't remember all the characters.
World Trigger has really developed into a nice battle shonen and world builder. It has some buffers and I think and hope it can get back on track in the ToC.

Why bottom 8 though? wasn't it bottom 5 just like 2-3 weeks ago? But suddenly when WT is out of the bottom five we get bottom 8? <.<
Isn't the anime still too new to actually affect the rankings?
Maybe. I hope it starts to affect when the anime gets to the Yuuma vs Miwa fight/Jin vs HQ elite fight. Also if the OP is not lieing to us, then we get the entire Invasion arc as well in this anime. Which makes me wonder how many episoes they have planned for it to get that all in as I heard there will also be anime-only stuff where the chapters get shown Ashihara had cut off to get Yuuma quicker into Border or to get quickly to the first invasion to show the first humanoid neighbors.
@Purple:

Man, if the last volume just had a bit over 20k sales in its third week, it would have been over 150k! >.<
Instead they still struggle to get over that and onto 200k, I had hoped that the anime would get more people interested in trying out the manga but instead it turned them off. :c
Or maybe it's the anime that's causing the drop in popularity:ninja:
I don't think so, but it certainly did not helped so far to give it more popularity like a "good anime" is supposed to do.
The problem isn't that the anime is too new, but that it is too shit.
Well yeah and no. The first episode is total pure shit but the next episodes, thankfully, got bit by bit better so we are now at the "not so shitty anymore" phase. Problem ofc is that most people watch the first or the first 3/5 episodes and then drop an anime if it can't catch their attention and WT's slow start coupled with Toei's awful animation at some points and weird music choice and such doesn't really help to make things better. They do have a nice light show for the trigger on transformation though. :P
As long as there are series like sporting salt, world trigger should be fine but it won’t last forever. Maybe one year.
Which is more than people gave WT back then before chapter 15. There some already made bets that WT would be the next one to get cut and then it managed to get by and two other mangas got the cut. And then it started to raise from 60k to 80k to over 100k sales per volume and to get its own merchandise (although I heard that figure merchandise DIED like two days after it was announced because the company that was supposed to make them went bankrupt…) and even a popularity poll with a pretty impressive amount of votes and postcards send in. Especially if you compare it to the piss-poor one of Assclass that sold like millions more than WT.
So I for one am glad that WT reached its first anniversary and has good chances to reach its second one too. It gives hope that maybe just maaaaybe there is a chance that WT somehow gets more popular and sells better in that 2nd year giving it a chance to become a longterm manga.
WT's problem is that it has waaaaaaay too many characters to develop or care about any of them, and subsequently the invasion arc got super convoluted to little benefit. As someone who hasn't bothered to re-read any chapters or study who is who, every chapter of this arc I was like "oh look, more generic cool dudes playing mind games with evil guys." That it does indeed. From what I have read in interviews, twitter and other boards it seems that Ashihara wanted to do Rank wars first where he would build up the B and A agents and then do the Neighbor Invasion, but that got changed because that would have taken too long and WT wasn't popular enough back tehn to do an arc on so many unknown people. And that's why we get many agents we haven't seen before, or we have seen before but didn't got a name yet back then, in fights doing pretty impressive stuff (honestly, in my opinion all that battle planning, figuring each otehr skills out and react to unknown abilities to the best way possible an use your surroundings to get an edge over your opponent, all that reminds me a lot of HxH fights) but it is hard to get sucked in completely because you can maybe remember Izumi, Yoneya and Midorikawa but not the other guys and that takes some fun out of the fight.
It's like…imagine the whole chimera ant arc happening before the Hunter candidate battles, that would have felt weird as weird to read about characters like Knuckle and such while you had never seen them before. At least I would have felt weird about it.
Alone for A agents we have 30 characters and for B over a 100! And that does not even include the future operator Team Osamu gonna have to get when they wanna be a B-team or the engineers of Tamakoma we have seen their backs only so far and heard the rumor that they are supposed to be neighbors or the engineers and scientists from HQ who seem to be pretty important as well given they are the ones developing and creating new trigger technology and stuff.
So it's not just me who can't remember all the characters.
Best way is to not even try to remember them all. I made the arc easier for me by only remembering A-agents names and even there I made some cuts like the Utagawa guy the other member of Team Kazama besides Kikuchihara. Kazma is easy to remember because he is awesome, Kikuchihara because he's a prick and due his"useless" C-ranked side ability that is actually frikking useful with the chamelon opt-trigger as well as the communication link Usami programmed back then. Yoneya is easy to remember because he is a "spear-freak" and Izumi due being a "trigger-happy shooter" which is a class Osamu is going for as well, even Midorikawa can be remembered as being a potential rival to Yuuma in later rank wars. But Utagawa doesn't really have something that makes him stand out and that is something a lot of the side character suffer from. Thus it is hard to remember their names after it once or twice and makes their battles with the neighbors a bit less enjoyable because it feels less "personal".
I agree with TheBuzzcocks though asWT still got the potential to get better and thus raise in the rankings. it is possible that Nisekoi fans will no longer stand the filler chapters with the same status quo and stop voting or buying volumes of it. it is also possible that some of the Naruto fans will give WT a try and might see similarities with the team based fights like in Naruto part 1. It is also possible that Bleach get sooo bad that Jump is like "yeah, fuck it, lets end it before chapter 650, my stomach can't handle this anymore".
A lot of good stuff is possible for WT, a lot of bad stuff as well, but I rather keep up my hope and cross my fingers that WT gets better from now on in the rankings and stuff.
It is confirmed the either sequel or spin-off of Naruto going to be released in Shounen Jump on upcoming spring. Also, it going to be mini-series.
Toriko is kinda low this week.

The good thing is, the sequel won't be by Kishimoto, but by one of his assistants.
E-Robot? That's a lewd choice for serialization. I'm guessing that if it isn't changed much from the one-shot, it could get skipped over in international WSJ's Jump Start to keep the Teen rating.

Glad to know i am not the only one that finds this the major problem of WT.

When three of the series have rankings that don't really matter (though maybe it Hi-Fi Cluster is getting ranked by now, but even then that's not exactly helping it too much), Bottom 8 may as well be equivalent to Bottom 5.

All of three new series got ranked now.
World Trigger definitely has an overstock of characters to flesh out.
Is that E-robot the same oneshot that Aohige hated?

I was talking more about Kochikame and Yokaemono which is ending, but thanks for the heads up

That tank sale is based on from October 27th to November 2nd, and the volume 1 of BnHA released on November 4th. So, we going to know its tank sale on next week.
^I see. Thanks for explaining.
According to the official twitter acct, Hero Academia is selling like crazy (basically sold out, they have already ordered another printing)
so it looks like fortune is finally shining on Horikoshi

That's pretty amazing. Nice to see the series doing so well so soon.
Do you know what the first print run was?
Since they need to do another printing, I'm guessing the first week results will probably give a pretty accurate picture of how many copies the first run was.

So I guess it gets better than the extremely bland and by-the-book first chapter?
(Even the art was kind of a mess and all over the place, which I know sounds criminal considering it's freaking Horikoshi. . .)

But… that... that is Horikoshi. His art is messy and all over the place.
But yes, it gets way better than that first chapter.
I usually give myself a six-month rule before i decide to buy a volume. I'm going to get boku no hero academia as soon as it's available.
Weekly Shonen Jump #50/2014 cover.
Hmm, you would think they would give naruto the entire jump cover again, considering it is the end of the series. Also 50th issue, 700th chapter.

They never give cover to the end of a series. Naruto already has a big picture in the cover, plus 2 chapters and 1 of them is totally in color.
Maybe the only title that will get a cover for its ending chapter is One Piece. Being number 1 title of the magazine for 17 entire years and it still has a lot more to go.
Still kinda dumb. Such big things should get the most attention in these magazines. That is how the world works.^^
