We've addressed this issue time and time again concerning raws and chinese scans, and it's been at the behest of people who do read Japanese raws like Aohige and just general "not being ignorant westerners" that we differentiate between the two of them

This really isn't the place to argue, so how about we get back to discussing the chapter? If this is something you feel you have to press, then take it to PM/VM and I'd be more than happy to have a civil discussion about it there.

Concerning the Toriko chapter, I don´t like the pacing, we´re changing sceneries almost every chapter.
It´s getting harder and harder to keep track of what´s important and what isn´t in this series. -
! Who was this strange monster that appeared? Didn't exactly look like a monkey, but who knows, the Instructors (or assistant instructors) might look even weirder than the dan fighter monkeys and the newcomers. The fact that the latter number 5 billion is typically toriko-esque exaggerated though…
! Luckily a piranha plant escaped from Mario World to create a pitfall right down to this ancient civilization, where a nitro (?) appeared and offered to be their guide... not sure about this sudden change of focus. Anyways, this continent seems very weird already, but I'm looking forward to some bizarre action!Edit: My bad, put it in spoilers.

It's one of the 4 Masters most probably. I'm really looking forward to seeing Bambina now i bet she's 1 of the strongest King.

They're having trouble with NEWCOMERS!!
I wouldn't say too much trouble. They seem to be able to one-shot limbs off them. And they quickly learned that they're like the 4 beast in that you have to defeat them completely, so if the battle continued they could have probably handled it.
I am worried about the 4 instructors though. The number just screams enemies for the Kings, which means they could be facing (and given Shima's pattern possibly beating) beasts just one tier below one of the 8 Kings.

I predict a training sequence where our heroes learn Monkey Fu. They easily dispatch all the newcomers and whatnot and defeat the instructors. Zebra becomes an instructor under the Monkey King who becomes their friend (or falls in love with Zebra).

There's no contradiction, his actions these past 2 chapters are very in line with his character. It was said that he killed animals that got cocky/pissed him off, but that those animals just so happened to be dangerous to people. Toriko is the one who lives by the "I only kill what I plan to eat or not kill at all rule."

I like how apes that have Kong in their name are still fodder compared to monkeys.
Shima has something against Kongs and it's funny to watch.

Gourmet World beasts capture levels fluctuate constantly, so is no surprise.

Anyway, pacing is great, getting excited about their new nitro mentor.
They have varying levels, regeneration and troublesome techniques.

Toriko never done an intimidation technique. So perhaps Zebra just sucks in that regard at the moment. Also these guys only respect people that own them.

These monsters are above 500-600 and can raise their capture levels at will.
Anyway; I'm sure that if the fight wasn't interrupted the kings would have cleaned house if they got serious.

How does raising your Capture Level work? I thought the whole point of the Capture Level was to gauge how hard it is to beat, so wouldn't it always be at the "raised" level?
