Got to watch a few so far, waiting on the rest:
Tokyo Ghoul - Had some nice animation at parts, but it was overall played in a very predictable way. I'll give it my usual three episodes to get a full opinion, but I don't think it's in my vein of horror to watch.
Bakumatsu RocK- Wow, ok. I knew I would have to at least watch this to say that I had… and y'know, it reminds me of the reason why I had difficulty watching Free!. Such eye-candy, and this time it was anachronistic eye-candy with music! I don't know if this was threading into the so-ridiculous-it's-good category, or if it's just there to make you grin stupidly through the historical references. I mean, there were even like magical girl transformation scenes, only you didn't get the shirts back (and that was apparently the point).
Glasslip - This is pretty. And a little bit of a mess. There's a lot going on, but at the same time, there's nothing going on. For a first episode, there was just too much happening without an understandable plot. At least with things like AnoHana and Tsuritama, there was either a theme or a main character to follow. Glasslip hints towards a main girl sort of, but that's about it. You followed more than just her and cut all over the place scene-wise. I hope this doesn't continue because the stuff that is going on would be great with longer times and intervals. Festival, chickens, glass making (this was my favorite scene), crazy families, tea shop, relationships and etc.
As for the rest I'm looking towards…
I was going to watch Rail Wars, but I was wary of the character art on the women. Enzeru confirmed that my suspicions were right. You can usually tell how much fanservic-y a show may get based on the chest sizes in character art…
Black Butler and SAOII - continuations of things I already enjoy.
Sailor Moon Crystal - Is anyone not looking forward to at least seeing how this will turn out? I know I am!
