Great costume choices! I wouldn't mind the black bikini thing from Super Metroid either for even more verity but taking a direct reference from Fusion and Zero Mission is AOK in my book.

Also, regarding Samus's costume in general….seems it stirred up some controversy (not here specifically), kinda like the high-heels thing. But for me....well, to be honest, my first impression wasn't "ew sexist" or "yay so hot", but rather, "neat, another costume that's not just a color swap".
Opens the door for more characters to have this set-up, and that idea pleases me.

I dunno. In terms of sex appeal, I actually still think the original Zero Suit wins. Plus it's sleek. This is an awesome alt outfit but it will by no means be my go-to.
With all these different outfits though, it makes me sad that if it's anything like Brawl, I won't get to see any of them when using random select for characters. I really hope they implement an option for random select to also randomly select an outfit.

If these are to be believed, we've got the Duck Hunt Duck and Dog, Bowser Jr. (seemingly riding his Koopa Copter, to boot), Dark Pit and Shulk as the last newcomers with Dr. Mario making a surprise return (and Ice Climbers gone. T_T). If they're not to be believed (Mii Fighters conspicuously absent), I'd still like to meet whoever did those renders 'cause they are quite nice.

The ordering of the clones, the mario characters and the 3rd parties having shulk in their row makes me doubt it. Also Bowser should be "koopa". Toon link is with his series, but the other clones are at the bottom.

It's possible the odd groupings are because it's still not a complete roster. In past smash games the chars aren't always grouped sensibly until you unlock everyone

"Just as I thought. It's definitely fake.
The faker was obviously using the E3 select screen as his reference, so he had to improvise the icons for the remaining characters. Unfortunately, he didn't realize that certain characters were briefly shown in the 3DS trailer from the Nintendo Digital Event – Dedede's icon has a red background (not yellow) and Greninja has a teal/green background (not blue).
Also, that character layout is just nonsensical."

The only reason I can think of is that Toon Link is radically different in size and hit box ratio from normal Link, while the others seem roughly the same size as their counterparts. I haven't yet found any of those new renders online, so if someone faked them, they're at least good artists. That Duck Hunt dog alone is better than any other Smash fan art online, IMO.

DLC could be explained by the fact they may have had the characters ready by Wii U's release date but not by the one for the 3DS's.
That said, I'm personally not seeing too much value in this. I'm ok with the roster, but the choice of Snake for DLC is a bit strange, the layout is garbage, and there's weird pixel bleeding in some areas.
Now, if it did happen, cool beans. Except for all the Ridley/K.Rool/Mewtwo fans …

It's actually been done by fans. I think the most popular made up movesets are the ones where he releases/throws ducks and frisbees for specials, and then they get hit with the shot from the zapper, and that would somehow be a hitbox.
Personally, I'm eager to call it unlikely just because of the idea of ducks getting shot as a moveset.

Hmm that roster…I wont believe it completely, but ill leave the possibility open. The one thing though that makes me lean towards its authenticity is that it is about as disappointing as brawls final roster was when it was first leaked, it just has that same scent.
But if the part about DLC is true then ill be ok, if i can get snake back thats good enough for me.
