It's… the day after... but yesterday was pretty intresting.
I had stayed up late because I was roleplaying with my friends (a Call of Cthulhu-like adventure... in space... you know, the kind of adventure that can give you nightmares) and just as I was going to bed a very noisy thunderstorm rolled by, giving me maybe... 3 hours of sleep overal. On top of that I had to get up early to clean up from the game before since I was expecting company in the evening...
And after that I had to rush to work.
Since I work in a museum and it's a weekend I was the only one working with security... and of course lightning had struck in 2 of the nearby museums as well as messed up the alarm system in a building belonging to my museum. So it was chaos.
The biggest museum nearby had the fire alarm going off from 7 am that morning, the head of security was on vacation and by 1 pm no one had been able to do anything major. Add to the fact that they had lost electricity as well as the fact that they had taken in water I was counting myself lucky.
I was able to reset some of the alarms but I had issues with one and of course the head of security at the museum where I work was also on vacation and I couldn't get a hold of her on her cellphone. Since two of the museums nearby were closed we had more visitors then usual and my coworkers (who I sort of supervised) were forced to deal with them alone since I was too busy with the whole alarm stuff.
Urgh.
And then when the day was finally over and I got home to my still messy apartement it was stuffed with people (since everyone has keys to it) who were waiting for me before they went off to get takeout. I told them to order for me and then I quickly cleaned up before they got back.
And the evening was great.
One had even brought a super awesome cake.
And then I fell asleep and was able to wake up late today... knowing the only thing I'm scheaduled to do is watch Guardians of the Galaxy in the evening with my sister. Aaah. So nice.
