Only page 3? wtf is everyone sick or something?
My prediction about no Sanji was right once again.
What I find very interesting is what Jinbe's cover story will be about with this sad kitten
I saw some people speculing if it was Doffy or Corazon shown in the Law flashback. It was Obviously doffy. Remember, this was Doflamingo recalling his first encounter with Law.

Nope, this is not okay.
I agree with you. Robin has been so OOC in this arc it's scary.

It was quite messy, and I felt some boredom, so I think I can see where you're coming from. It had weird pacing, and the random parachute beetles were unnecessarily expanded on. What was the point in that anyway lol.
Law flashback is impending, and I'm interested in that.
More about what Aohige is talking about with the "palm" in regards to the title and Son Goku (Sun Wukong of Journey to the West).
From wikipedia:
With all of their options exhausted, the Jade Emperor and the authorities of Heaven appealed to the Buddha, who arrived from his temple in the West. The Buddha made a bet with Sun Wukong that he (Sun Wukong) could not escape from his (Buddha's) palm. Sun Wukong, knowing that he could cover 108,000 li in one leap, smugly agreed. He took a great leap and then flew to the end of the world in seconds. Nothing was visible except for five pillars, and Wukong surmised that he had reached the ends of Heaven. To prove his trail, he marked the pillars with a phrase declaring himself "the great sage equal to heaven" (and in other versions, urinated on the pillar he signed on). Afterward, he leaped back and landed in the Buddha's palm. There, he was surprised to find that the five "pillars" he had found were in fact the five fingers of the Buddha's hand. When Wukong tried to escape, the Buddha turned his hand into a mountain. Before Wukong could shrug it off, the Buddha sealed him there using a paper talisman on which was written the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum in gold letters, wherein Sun Wukong remained imprisoned for five centuries.[1]
Law was such a crazy kid.
Was that guy at the end Cora or Dofla?
Probably It's Flamingo. He was the one to start the flashback.
I agree with you. Robin has been so OOC in this arc it's scary.
Dressrosa has brought out the best facefaults.

Ders a pattern brudda.
Starting to get tired of the whole string clone thing.
Good chapter, basically just ticking things over nicely and getting us started on Law and Doffy's flashback.
I'm all in favour of Doffy's seemingly uber spiky hair from that point in time.
Can't wait to see the Vergo back then, and Corazon in general.
i dont know why the officers overstimate theirselves so much..really Lao-G Dellinger and Gladius think they can win a fight against Chinjao and the others?they call them a bunch of nobodies.what the fuck ..

How would your reaction be if the lord and savior Law would die in the next chapter?

It's likely where it originated from, but in this case, it's just an everyday phrase in Japanese.
(and likely other languages)
"Dancing on the palm of one's hand" is being manipulated without being aware of it.
It's often used for masterminds and string-pullers. Like the certain string-man here.

Yeah, the dead-pan serious Law becoming completely fish out of water in the usual Straw Hat craziness has been one of the funniest running gags in this arc.
laws gonna revert back to his childhood and wanna blow up luffy after all the crap he drags him thru.
actually theyre perfect for each other <3
Anyone translated the title of Jinbe's cover story?
How would your reaction be if the lord and savior Law would die in the next chapter?

Yup, I was getting at the origins. English also has a the idiom "have you in the palm of my hands" as in have complete control over someone.
Another good chapter (no surprise here for me, yet to be majorly disappointed). I will admit that I don't like the idea of clones running around, but it seems like there is only one, so if that is the case then I won't be to bothered. Looks like we have most of the stuff lined up at this point, we are going to get our flashback and then start the fighting. I will admit, I really want Franky V Senor Pink now, but I'll wait. I swear to God Oda that if you offscreen that fight, there's no telling what will happen. I like how Luffy made a short cut and how Robins group is getting to the base. Overall, nothing to really talk about but nothing to really complain about. Sucks that there is a break, but I have JoJo to read so that should keep me occupied till then.
There's a lot of questions about Law's past to be answered. His flashback should be quite interesting.
What's with the White Town? Why did he want everything to die? Why did he go to Doflamingo in the first place? His relationship with Corason. How does he know about the Ds? What was the Rocky Port incident?(Was that the 100 pirate heart thing or something else)?
Looking forward to it.
But I'm still confused… why didn't the head dissolved when it was cut, and yet the upper torso did? What is the difference between the two?
rebbeca has no underwear.use your wild imagination hahhaha
Law's character as a child seems very similar to Ace's. Angry outcast little boy that changes thanks to comradery.
Is One Piece really becoming that predictable?
Pretty boring chapter :( Everything was a rehash of what we've already seen in this arc, and Doflamingo's string clone being a string clone wasn't that cool either, regarding last week's cliffhanger. I hope Law's flashback won't be delayed for another 20 chapters.

Maybe Doflamingo will kill him by punching a hole in his back and his strings will shoot out of Law's chest like he's the Play Doh Fun Factory.
What is a blank town ?
that look on laws face reminds me of killua
really didnt understand the whole part where they talk about the string clone (WHO is even talking?) and whats up with that key dofla's got
blank town means nothing in there.

Thing is, Law is new to the Strawhat crazyness. Robin has been with them for a while now and they've been through some crazy shit without her even batting an eye. For someone who's been stamped as the Cool, Calm and Collected person this is really wierd. I mean, yes, these people are small… but is it as crazy as a ship falling from the sky? Or ghosts and trees walking about? She did look a tiny bit shocked in c218 but most of the time she just goes along with it.
More setup, moar moar setup :ninja:
The dofla clone is silly, feels like reading Naruto…how does that stuff can move and talk on its own anyway...pls Oda make some sense.
More running, moar moar running. And Rebecca, oh Rebecca. What is this character doing in ma manga.
Finally after 50 chapters things seems to get somewhere with Law backstory. Here is hoping that Oda won't ruin that part.
Well, it may come up actually. Just like how Luffy mentioned his home town resembling the situation in Dressrosa, Law's childhood having relevance to Luffy and Sabo may play a plot point later.
Society sweeping their ugly side under the rug and turning a blind eye to the suffering of not-haves seems to be a recurring theme in the manga. I wouldn't be quick to dismiss it as recycled plot, Baldulf.
Is the cover story textless or did they all cut it off and didn't bother looking after the title?
we saw one page of him and you are already drawing comparisons?
I would love to be proved wrong, but OP is going in a very straightforward line lately.
Like Dofly's string clone on this episode and Luffy being saved by plot armor again.
I didn't find anything about delaying the next chapter where did you find that ?
in the german translation it looks like doflamingo wanted to give the key to law through his clone

Yeah, for "I'm not going to lose by undersestimating the Straw Hats" guy, Doflamingo sure likes to undersestimate Straw Hats.
that key kinda looked like a heart. maybe its to his cuffs or part of his heart title?
dd confuses me. he seems to be ok with killing law but when he reminiscs he looks troubled.
rebecca has no underwear its just awesome!
jinbei is coming cant wait to see this.
i miss sanji's team deym

Since the average One Piece characters isn't a lonely monk, there are not going to change through meditation. Well, I guess they can change through a trauma but I don't recommend it.
And what comrades are you referring to ? Doffy, Corazon, Luffy or Bepo maybe ?
rebecca has no underwear its just awesome!

We have no clue where Jinbe is heading. The last time we have seen him, he was heading to Big Mom and break ties with her… So he easily can still on his way to her and of course to his crewmates, who are with her.
So I doubt he already is heading to the SHs and Big Mom was like "Oh OK Jinbe, liked you and goodbye... Do not worry about Fishmen Island and your crewmates"
@oneku:
Is the cover story textless or did they all cut it off and didn't bother looking after the title?
Apparently the cat is lost.
And there is also a special episode annouced for the 30th august called "3D2Y" covering the strawhat's training.
And what comrades are you referring to ? Doffy, Corazon, Luffy or Bepo maybe ?
That reminded me how much I miss Bepo… He was fun.

Well of course, we should have Luffy and Law dead by drowning, that would certainly move the plot forward in getting us to Raftel. You know, a la GOT kill a main character and continue with who killed him/her.. I would love to see flamingo as a protagonist
The title is "Palm"… I definitely missed anything in the chapter that even suggest that. So why is it "Palm"?
Edit: Just read the first few post, so I now know why it's Palm... but it would not really be my first choice fo a title on this chapter.
But I'm still confused… why didn't the head dissolved when it was cut, and yet the upper torso did? What is the difference between the two?
I actually see it as first he smiled(the head was shown) and afterwards all the upper torso (head included) became strings and dissolved
@Master:
There has been like 10+ chapters spent with Luffy running around like crazy shouting Doflamingo come out Imma kick your ass.. and the moment he meets him he's like oh fuck it let' chill here a bit longer! Come on.. this ain't funny anymore. It could have been much much much enjoying if the flashback started last chapter, as though nothing really happened only panels were wasted. Need my old one piece back :(
Its funny you claim you want the "old" One piece back because right now its doing what the old One piece always does. Luffy always does that.
that key kinda looked like a heart. maybe its to his cuffs or part of his heart title?
dd confuses me. he seems to be ok with killing law but when he reminiscs he looks troubled.
I noticed the key shape as well. Maybe Robin has the wrong key. While DD holds the real one? I dunno I was confused by that scene.
Doula had hair like king riku
