Oh yes, Netherlands are on the roll.
Wow, they are really kicking Spain´s ass!!! Awesome!
Netherlands!!!!
Oleeee ole ole oleeee
Spain losing isn´t that surprising, but by 4 goals… Jesus.
Anyway, neither of the teams are on my bet to get to the final.
Wow… Humilliation. Now I'm scared
Now it's a DEMOLITION.
Haha, what the hell is going on?
AHAHAHAHAHA
Thanks, Netherlands. This is a joy to watch xD
I think I´m becoming a fan of the Netherlands!!!
5-1!!!! This is amazing.
Robben you beauty! My goodness that was crazy! 5-1 LOL
They might as well just stop the game now .
Ouch. Even Spain doesn't deserve this.
Ouch. Even Spain doesn't deserve this.
Xavi deserves to lose every game he is in by 10-0.
This is toooo much…..since 1963 they vent lost like this...
Last time Spain lost by 5 goals was in 1963 against Scotland!
I'm going to Spain on vacation next week and it's going to be THE BEST.
This was a slaughter and I enjoyed the hell out of it.
Prime Robben is like Prime Whitebeard – fucking unstoppable hahaha
So happy right now.
Am way past happy…..flying I am!!!!hehrhe
As good as Van Persie and Robben were, let's be honest Blind is the real MVP, what a legend.
I'm pretty sure Shakira won't be happy about that game since her boyfriend, Gerard Pique, plays on the Spain defense that gave up 5 points…
Well … hm. I can't say i expected that.
And Ramos wanted a Ballon D'or. Torres did a Torres. Day well spent.
@Tijnn.:

Yeah, he deserves some recognition as well. The second time I saw him create such an amazing opportunity, I told myself to remember the guy. And that he'd show us even more awesome plays throughout the tourney.
Anyway, Netherlands will get eliminated when they face some competition with good attackers.
They will either face Mexico or Croatia, or Uruguay.
If they don´t lose vs Mexico, they will fall with Uruguay.

Vlaar did a lot of important saves in the first half as well.
Wow, that was a slaughter.
What the hell happened?? Now I feel even worse that I couldn't watch the match.
Damn, I really hope Spain was only warming up…

Pass-Pass-Pass-Pass-Pass-Pass-Pass-SHOOT?, No, Pass- Pass-Pass-Pass…
THAT was pathetic…
That was Robben literally raping the entire backline... and the keeper
5pa1n .
Un-be-fucking-lievable!
Netherlands!! Wow!!!
Gogo Orange! I can't believed they clobbered Spain to such an extent. Loved it.
Also happy that Mexico won, although I missed the match by sleeping.
How does Torres even make it to the main team. Villa/ Negredo much much better than him. El Nino my foot!
I'm pretty sure Casillas will cry himself to sleep tonight. The mistakes he made just mustn't happen to a keeper of his caliber.
Where was Casillas anyway? He practically won the cup on his own last time

HAHAHAHA, this is a joke right?
Mexico and Uruguay are nowhere near the level Spain is. Did you see the Mexico match? ffs man, we're talking about completely different levels here, and this is coming from someone in Latin America. The only teams from this region that have a chance are Brazil and Argentina. Mexico won't even get the chance to see Netherlands, and I doubt Uruguay would given the way it's structured. Add to all this that both Mexico and Uruguay both barely made it to the World Cup. If it wasn't for Brazil hosting and South America getting an extra spot Uruguay wouldn't be around.
Croatia I could see giving them trouble, though, that I'll give.
As good game as It was, Can't help but feel bad for the likes of Iniesta, Xavi and Xabi. Three players I really like. But wow, the end of the Barca era, coinciding with the end of Spain's amazing.
Looks like Blind's price is gonna go up after this tournament.

To be honest, looking at the way Spain played today, Uruguay can destroy them quite easily. The only weak point in Uruguay is defense. Their strike force is lethal.

First: it would be a different match and the coach would adjust the strategy, no doubt.
Second: While Uruguay does have some highly experienced team members, the quantity and quality hardly compares to this generation of Spanish players.
Third: again, with their current game Uruguay BARELY made it into the world cup. Barely, while Colombia, Ecuador, and Chile, traditionally less powerful teams, made it comfortably.
Uruguay is a good team, but the likes of Argentina, Germany, Brazil, Spain, and such teams … they're on a different tier.

Torres can always be trusted to provide comic relief.

If the Netherlands can get the first spot, and Mexico manages to get a good result vs Croatia, then they will face each other.
People always underestimate Mexico anyway. I´m pretty confident they can give Netherlands a though game, maybe even win it.
Netherlands defence will not take this team anywhere. If today they had faced a team that wasn´t relying in a midfield combat commanded by a player that had an horrible season and should not be in the starting eleven, i doubt Netherlands would managed to score more than two goals.
And yes, according to my initial predictions, i expect Uruguay to make it to the final.
Portugal barely made it´s way to the last competition, yet they always managed to get convincing results in the final phases.

Happens a lot.
A lot of good moments from certain National teams happen because of a "world best" phase from a certain club.
It happened with Netherlands with Ajax, Germany with Bayern, Portugal with Porto in 2004, Spain with Barça and i think you can find some more examples here and then.
That´s why many people believe Spain won´t be able to retain the title. The Tiki-taka style/Barcelona squad formation they used in these past years has fallen. EDIT: BTW, i was talking about Croatia/Mexico/Uruguay vs Netherlands, not SPain
@Mrs.:
Where was Casillas anyway? He practically won the cup on his own last time
He is way past his prime (like most of the Spanish team). Lopez should be in the goal, one of the best keepers in the world, but he isn't even selected because Casillas hates his guts.
Few points from the game IMHO:
1. Spain do not know if they want the false 9 or a CF. I'm not sure the players are prepared to play with a center forward either. If you have a Diego Costa type up top, you need pace and width, which is totally lacking.
2. I'm sorry but their center backs are so wank. The Pique/Ramos combo requires Pique to be the Puyol and Ramos to play Pique's role. Pique is much better than Ramos as an attacking CB. Ramos is also so irresponsible, error prone and in my opinion the most overrated center back in world football. Being Madrid's long term poster boy has concealed these deficiencies I suppose.
3. Busquets was surprisingly anonymous. I'd like to see his passing stats from the game because I'm not sure he really got into the game at all. Also I don't remember him dropping in between the CBs as an auxiliary center back which he is so good at. Was it part of the game plan I never know. It has to be either Xabi/Busquests and for the role Del Bosque wants Spain to play (if today is an indication of what he wants), I'd much rather a holder with the passing range as Xabi. Xavi seems past it unfortunately. That leaves Iniesta as the only available midfielder on form. That's all before we start debating the attacking midfield options of Silva, Mata, Fabregas and Cazorla
4. The lesser said about Casillas the better. Again, their captain and veteran, reduced to such a shambles is a pity to watch.
Definitely, they've got problems all over the pitch. A bunch of world class players of course so I'm not qualified enough to understand why they look so vulnerable now.

That´s why i defend that Javi Martinez should start instead of Piqué.
Piqué needs someone solid like Puyol on his side to correct his positioning and cover for his (many) mistakes, and it certainly won´t be Ramos that will do that.
They guy plays 2 really good games, and immediately after 2 horrendous ones. He has been like that for years.
Javi Martinez might not be perfect, but he is solid and more consistent then these two.
I still remember in Euro 2012. They had 3 s***** games in the group phase, had a decent game vs France, a good one vs Portugal and a final in which they had nothing to do because Iniesta bossed the whole midfield and the ball rarely got to Spain´s defensive third.
And this was considered your defence of the tournament…
About the rest, just drop Xavi, play Koke and drop the Barcelona memories.
Make the game pass through Silva and Koke and the goals will come.

This time they do because they suck. Like, people I know from Mexico, literally everyone I know from Mexico knows they suck as much as they may still support their team. Mexico always gets to the world cup because they have a fairly easy region where the biggest threat is the freaking U.S., and this year they barely survived in that region. That's embarrasing, and talk to anyone Mexican, anyone who watches their every single game, and they'll agree.
It's not underestimating as much as having witnessed their elimination process and noticing how badly they sucked and only made it here by miracle. And then you say they can have a chance against the team that scored five goals against Spain? Get the fuck out of here, that just tells me you have no context of what the level of football in Latin America is.
And you misunderstood, they could face Netherlands. But they won't because they suck. I'm expecting Croatia and Brazil to both sweep over Mexico with ease. No doubt, and only a miracle would save them from that. They just bottom line don't deserve to advance from that group. And again, this is a belief I have from actually tracing their several past matches and interacting with Mexican people who do as well and know their team and its players. This Mexico just doesn't have it. And heads up: this Uruguay also doesn't have it.
