I was thinking a bit more broad. The show is called Agents of SHIELD and Shield is well…

! Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Rhino, Vulture, Kraven the Hunter and Mysterio (or, perhaps, the Chameleon).

There was no additional scene at my screening except the X-Men tease… If anyone finds out more about this, that'd be great.

I just saw Spiderman 2 yesterday and it was great. Definitely the best spiderman movie so far to me.
@Juvar:There was no additional scene at my screening except the X-Men tease… If anyone finds out more about this, that'd be great.
It's not an after credits scene that hints at them, it's a scene in the middle of the movie.
Edit: One thing that might disappoint some people is that for a superhero movie that is over 2 hours, there are very few action scenes and fights. Also, I imagine Rhino fans will be disappointed lol
-

You had to "shazam" the ending song with your phone.
-
Oh yeah, i totally forgot to post my opinion on Spider-Man 2. I hope i can recall it, it's been almost 2 weeks since i've seen it ( :P ).
I enjoyed the movie. It thought the first one was kinda mediocre and i did not really care much about it. But this one … not bad, really. Great action, nice characters mostly and a well build-up villain. Exceeded my low expectations. Although i can understand people who don't like this movie because it has it's share of problems.
! So did that Father-Parker-story go anyhwere?
! Also, Rhino looked incredibly dumb. The suit, not the actor.Looked a lot better than Lizard in ASM.
-

It wasn't a scene, it was like the Avengers credits where they showed off the Avenger's team gear. It was glimpses of the Six's equipment.
-
well got back from seeing Amazing Spiderman 2 and
! I thought it was rather good I thought Electro was done pretty well and what happened to Gwen was rather surprising however Rhino….yeah that armored suit was terrible
-
Saw AS2 yesterday. So wow I was actually kind of surprised how cool the action with Elektro was.
I mean I kind of thought I was a bit jaded on electricity effects but it looked rather nice and they but fun spins on those fights, especially on the last one.
The movie reminded me that I really like the characters and especially this version of them. I've heard it a few times now that Garfield's Peter is too cool for purists of the comics but I'm sorry I prefer that over the cringe inducing idea of the stereotypical nerd of a decade ago which the Raimi movies did.Talking about cringe, Max… yeah wasn't a fan of that it was a bit over the top at times, the idea of that character arc is interesting though. I just wish the execution could have been better. To me the film really suffered from a lot of clutter. So I don't think I can say I like the movie. If it was more focused it could have been really good. Most of the character stuff is really neat but so much of it doesn't get the time it needs to work out properly.
Harry turning was too fast to me, his whole relationship with Peter and him becoming the Goblin could and should have been its own movie.! The Rhino thing that was just… a friend said to me that could have totally worked as a post credits thing but having this as the ending didn't work for me at all.
With Gwen gone and Gwen and Peter being my favourite thing about this incarnation of Spiderman I'm not sure how I feel about the future of it.
They also took it too far for me with the Spiderman kid, especially at the end... -
Does anyone know…
! what song Spider-Man hated during the final electro fight? I heard everyone laughing but couldn't hear the song.plus I kept thinking Felicia might be black cat..or am I wrong?

Didn't have high expectations. It met them I suppose. I liked most of the stuff until the end surprisingly.
! Once Harry turned the movie went downhill for me. And I realized how much I liked gwen and I don't have faith whoever they got to play Mary Jane or Felicia could ever have a shot at being a better girlfriend than Emma Stone.
-
That bit at the end seems like it should be in spoiler tags.
-
Saw the movie, my thoughts
! Well off the bet I'll say I liked it more than the first one. Not that the first one was bad or anything, heck I loved that one too, but….yeah, they stepped up their game.
! My fears of it being Spiderman 3, whatwith the oversaturation of villains was....mostly avoided. Rhino was in like two scenes, most of the screentime went to Jamie Foxx's Electro. Yes, I'll admit the blue body paint and piercing eyes kinda spooked me. But....I had to feel bad for the guy, the universe makes him its doormat, he's pushed and pushed until the dude just snapped. Spidey's first battle with him at Times Square really was kinda omnious, given the music choice: somewhat whimsical because Spiderman's trying to calm him down, but it has that dark edge, you know something's gonna happen. Final battle kicked ass.
! Garfield is great as Peter Parker (especially with Spidey's one liners) and Emma Stone is AMAZING as Gwen Stacey again. Gaaah.....she was so awesome, I knew her death was gonna happen, but....damn.
! now for the drawbacks, mainly the Harry/Goblin stuff.
! Actor reminded me of a discount Leonardo DiCaprio, but I thought he played the part well. Especially as he got more and more insane, although I think his whole relationship with Peter....was kinda just throw in. Maybe the first movie should've hinted at it or something, but...
! The ending scene with Rhino was very superfluous, partly because Rhino is a minor villain and partly because I thought the movie would've ended a little better if it ended after Gwen's death. Maybe too cliche, but I dunno. I'm curious to see who will play Mary Jane, because Stone as Gwen....ugh, too perfect.
! now for a question, because I'm comic-ignorant. I saw the credit listing for this "Sinister Six"....who the hell is Pharrell Williams gonna play???
! all in all, a very good movie. -
[hide]I think I actually liked Harry more than Electro as a villain. He sort of was the main villain out of the two anyway. Much more personal and it didn't really fell badly exectuted or anything to me. I guess a mention that they were childhood friends in the first movie would have been nice but I don't think that was needed and if I'm not mistaken, this is true in every single Spidey incarnation anyway. [/hide]

Just saw Spiderman on Thursday. It was good in my opinion. Not amazing, but good. There were some parts I liked and were done well, and there were some parts that felt like they dragged. I have to say, in comparison, I enjoy Captain America:TWS much more. I liked Caps pacing which was at a constant rate, while Spiderman felt like its pace was stop and go.
! I feel Gwen's death was done very well, and it struck the emotional chords perfectly. It was the best done part of the movie IMO. The movie still has it's issues. I wasn't a fan of the fact that the trailer and posters hyped Spidey vs Rino, and then when it starts, just cutting to credits. If the Sinister 6 picks up from that fight, it would be interesting.
! Overall, my biggest issue has the pacing, and the villains were good but could've been done slightly better. However, Peter and Gwen were done well and that was the most important part of the movie. -

! I know this is nitpicking, but holy crap, how has New York not figured it out?
! >Spiderman makes an "I LOVE YOU" in webs….then picks up Gwen.....uhh, weren't people still watching the web-covered bridge/Spiderman, and thus saw him take his mask off from afar?
Peter almost walks into graduation with the mask on....didn't cameo Stan Lee see it? lol
Gwen shouts out Peter's name as Spiderman leaves, then covers her mouth in shock.....well, weren't people still running in the chaos? Nobody was nearby to overhear her?Haha, sorry. I've been watching too much CinemaSins.

Not if u didn't see the movie it doesn't really need to be. You are thinking about it as someone who knows what happens, I'm talking about a guy getting a new girlfriend and your mind immediately jumps to a specific conclusion…

Because this version of new york is full of idiots. Proof:
! Let's stay and gawk/cheer in immediate proximity of an electro monster/robo rhino fighting him instead of running away immediately.

Speaking of Electro's crowd scene
! lol it took a little awhile for the citizens, especially the cop, to notice a suspicious hooded man reach down and remove a grate to the electrical system
-
Someone just pointed out to me that Marc Webb did 500 days of summer, suddenly it makes a whole lot of sense that the romantic relationship between Gwen and Peter is probably the best part of these movies.

Saw TASM2, or as I like to call it, The 50%-Good-50%-Just-What. Spider-Man 2. Yeah, this movie was a major mixed bag for me…
! On the bright side: The things I liked about the first movie, aka the portrayal of Peter himself and Gwen Stacy being, and I feel perfectly justified in saying this, the best love-interest in any super-hero movie I've seen ever, were still very much present in this one. Also the action-scenes were pretty solid, and this was a movie that was totally worth seeing in 3D just for the web-swinging scenes.
On the other hand, Electro's origin was a bit… did he just get his powers from being attacked by electric eels? Seriously? I mean I suppose they were GENETICALLY MUTATED ELECTRIC EELS and as such it's not too different from Peter's own origin, but… yeah that was extremely silly. And really, "extremely silly" sums up most of the stuff about Electro pretty well doesn't it? I feel like there was the potential for a tragic villain there, but there was just so much ridiculous stuff they put in with him that it was hard for me to really take the more tragic aspects of his character seriously. Oh hey, that's the second attempt at a tragic villain that's kinda missed the mark in these movies.
! And the Green Goblin… Sorry, but what? I mean, I was with them up to the point where he actually donned the suit. But it's like... why did he do that? Just "ARGH THE SPIDER-BLOOD IS KILLING ME OR SOMETHING MAYBE THIS WAS A BAD IDEA oh hey an obviously evil-looking suit and glider, IMMA GO PUT THAT ON NOW!" And then he goes to kill Gwen just to get his revenge on Spider-Man for a perceived wrongdoing.
And actually, pacing-wise that whole bit was completely off. It's like "Oh no, Electro is going to destroy the city! We must stop him! Stops him Yay, the day is saved... OH NOES ITS HARRY WHO HAS TURNED INSANE! TIME FOR A SECOND CLIMACTIC BATTLE!!"
I sort of feel like the Green Goblin and Gwen's death (oh yeah, and I pretty much knew this was coming but that did not make it any less painful, dammit! Especially since, as I just said earlier here, I really liked her character) would be better saved for the next movie. Especially seeing how the movie then makes such a big deal out of Peter being completely heartbroken by it, and completely giving up crime-fighting for five months, before the movie ends with a triumphant "He's back!"… but the impact is hardly there at all, because as far as we the audience are concerned, he's only been "gone" for like five minutes. -
Sony just can't freaking learn the mistakes they did with spider-man 3 it seems. They just have to shove to many plot threads/villains into one movie just because they want to build their movie universe as quickly as possible.
-
I said it before and I'll say it again… the problem isn't too many villains... its how you pace and handle them.
Batman Begins and Dark Knight had three villains (Ra'as, Scarecrow, Mob Boss) (Joker, Two Face, Mob boss) and those paced out just fine, Superman 1 has Luthor and both his distinct minions, and Superman 2 had 4 villains (granted three were samey kryptonians, plus Luthor).
TV series have a villain origin story, two or three action sequences, and a B plot for the main character every 20 minutes on a regular basis. If you look at Batman TAS or Specutacular Spiderman cartoon and cobble together five episodes, you get five different villains, a dozen action sequences, and a whole bunch of different events and moments in Peter, Gwen and Harry's lives with a side of Norman Osborn in there... and it works and paces completely fine. Obviously movies have slightly different pacing rules because they seem to think you need a full blown hour long build on the villain and you have to have an ending that will hold for a couple years instead of a week, but... that's the movie's fault, not the sheer presence of a lot of characters.
SPiderman 3's problem isn't that it had too many villains... its that it tried to do the entire black costume arc without caring about it and wedged it in, and wasted like 10 minutes on a fake out proposal scene with Bruce Campbell being a snooty waiter and on Peter's neighbors and a bunch of other things rather than anything else. It made choices about where to focus its time and they were innefective unhelpful choices.
(Heck, look at the Ocean's 11 movies. Some characters get minimalized or small parts, but their entire gimmick is a large cast.)
Having Rhino be a non-threat throw away pure muscle villain just for a quick sequence is about the way a character like that SHOULD be handled. Cramming in the entirety of the green goblin friendship/betrayal/crazy/attack the girlfriend arc in 10 minutes... maybe not so much. Heck, Raimi's trilogy stretched that over three films properly and still blew the execution at the end.
-

Since Harry wasn't, the venom was hurting him somehow, maybe even killing him so he goes to the obviously evil-looking suit because it was a healing suit, one of the many things Oscorp developed to try to cure that random, incurable disease that Harry had. And the perceived wrongdoing was Peter/Spidey refusing to help him and instead running away to leave Harry to deal with his imminent death on his own.[/hide]

! And harry got into the goblin suit because it was mentioned to have a healing function when he dropped the data cube thing on his Ipad/desk.
! His OsDesk. I would totally buy a OsDesk. -
um idk why people hate it, I loved the movie
yeah it crammed a lot in there but I think it did a fantastic job with it, and I'm sure everyone's been saying this… but damn, that chemistry between the two of them was just amazing, I guess being in love in real life real helps when the characters your supposed to be acting as are in love
-
! On the suit: Ah yes, I noticed that it said something about "Activating healing" after he put it on… I just must have missed the fact that that was set up ahead of time. Okay, I guess that makes a bit more sense.
-
! Was there an explanation given as to why Harry didn't have enough time to wait a bit?
I mean his father survived with that thing into old age…
Dunno maybe I missed something, made the whole turning thing even more of a case of "I guess someone flipped the lunatic switch" instead of it being built up properly. -
I thought ASM 2 just sucked. It was way too cheesy, even for a comic book movie. Full of stupid plot conveniences. Almost felt as they were trying for out-Batmanning and Robining Batman & Robin.
-
Well, I really loved it. Saw it on April 16th in a preview, and again last weekend, one time 3D and one without. I really enjoyed it even the second time, after reading a lot of criticisms about the crammed plot and underdeveloped villains (which is true) - but I still enjoyed the hell out of it.
I don't think the movie actually suffers from those problems. It could have been better, sure, but it was still really, really good. However
! I do think it would have been better to introduce de Haan as the Goblin later. They rushed that, yes. Apart from that it was fine though. And Electro isn't dead.
-

Dunno maybe I missed something, made the whole turning thing even more of a case of "I guess someone flipped the lunatic switch" instead of it being built up properly.! I guess it has to do with him seeing his terrible looking father dying and later noticing the same symptoms on himself. Norman Osbourne died an old man, but i'm sure it was not a pleasant life. Harry was probably fully aware of the pain and suffering he would have to go through and he was afraid of that. That stuff can get into your head.
Then he focused all his hope on Spider-Man, who in his eyes denied him his only chance of a cure.
! Of course he still did not react like a sane man would. Which is why this whole thing left a bad taste because up until this point, he seemed pretty sane. -
…spoilers .

I am honestly REALLY looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy. Marvel has yet to produce a TRULY Bad film, at worst a few mediocre ones (Iron Man 2, I'm looking at you….) and seeing them do a movie like this that's WAY outside their usual fare is gonna be refreshing I think.
Days of Future Past is actually looking amazing too... Considering X3 and XmO: Wolverine have burned me before, I'm not holding my breath, but I'm cautiously optimistic.
-
My only problem with Guardians is that I might have over hyped it in my head.
That is it.
-
The number 1 thing that makes me excited for Guardians is that I know jack shit about the source material.
As much as I love super hero movies in general, freshness like that is absolutely priceless in the current storm of Franchises and Sequels -

True… Then again the Thor-movies were also kinda outside their comfort-zone and in my opinion those are probably the... least good... films in the MCU. But yeah, even those were perfectly watchable, so I'm optimistic for GotG.

I was iffy when I saw the first trailer with him just cracking jokes and seemingly getting captured easily. It was amusing but I was cautious since it might have been just a "coming of age story" where star-lord is a dick the entire movie until he dawns the mask at the climax. But then I saw the second trailer- hoo boy was I hyped. The mask looks great.
