Can we conclude now that Pica is a Logia? His control over his "element" is massive!
Or everyone already agreed he's a Logia???
it's not a logia, otherwise he would have been aknowledged as one by viola

I love this set up, let's see if it pays off.
Come to think of it it shapes up to be one of most op powers….
This is incredibly sinister could be the equivalent of the sun rising in Thriller Bark situation. Get people to the colosseum as they escape to the center of the island and when they see all the freed humans turned toys in the hole the Strawhat cheering starts.
Oda managed to make me feel bad for the poor citizens of Dressrosa.
seriously, though.
Fujitora isn't gonna let any of this slide.
If he is somehow made irrelevant in this arc, I will eat my own hat.
And then burn every chapter of Dressrosa in sacrificial fire.
Hell, he has better motivation to fight Doflamingo then Luffy does, at this time. Oda already regulary breaks shonen standarts, why not break another?
Calling it now Bellamy will win the Bird cage game :ninja:

Who knows what he's gonna do, though. Maybe if had a mindset like Akainu, he'd be rushing over to the palace ready to bury the pirate scum into a 50 foot deep hole.
But Fujitora is more clear-minded…..I honestly see him trying to protect the citizens of Dressrosa first. I would like to see doing something to try to stop this plan though, cutting a few strings, destroying the palace, slapping Doflamingo, whatever. This arc is the perfect chance to see exactly his "justice" will pan out.
So no chapter next week?
So no chapter next week?
Nope. This week was a double-issue so that means a break next week.
Nice chapter.
I hope Oda has a good reason for Fujitora being on Dressrosa. As an admiral he should be able to take Donflamingo down, but is Luffy considered a bigger threat than DD? Maybe not in strength but he shook a fair few big timers up at the war.
I wonder what's going down with Sunny and Big Mam's crew. It'll be interesting to know whether the birdcage has trapped them too.

it didn't
the birdcage didn't even reach the sea
c'mon,we aleady know that we will not see them until the end of the arc, several pages were dedicated to them saying that they were NOT going back to dressrosa.

Pica is a rock ABSORPTION MAN, not a Logia. . .

Problem with protecting citizens is that it is fighting sympthoms, and not a disease. They won't stop killing until Doffy is down, and he can take control of them again, if he so desires.
Logicaly speaking, taking out Doflamingo is the move that will safe most lives, especially since Fujitora is best suited for the task, power, skill and storywise.
I'm calling it right now, the reason why Pica haven't spoke a word since he was shown is because he was Dofla's clone all along. That's why he could talk, sweat and everything. Dofla managed to make Pica look like him with his strings.
Or… He could be Pica's twin brother!!!
it didn't
the birdcage didn't even reach the sea
c'mon,we aleady know that we will not see them until the end of the arc, several pages were dedicated to them saying that they were NOT going back to dressrosa.
Oh yeah it didn't reach sea.
We don't really know much about the Big Mam situation. Yeah the Sunny was leaving Dressrosa but who knows what changed after Big Mam's ship arrived, there weren't several pages dedicated to the situation after that. The birdcage does add to the chances of them not returning, if they were still all on sea, but anything could have happened… it's One Piece after all.
I ask myself it half decent swordsman can't simply cut through the strings… And if not... I'm sure Sabo will burn the cage down
If it was that easy, then the whole thing would have been a bloody waste of time.
Sanji said he is going to retaliate and Pekoms and Tamago seem like a fair challenge for Team Sunny
It's not hard to guess what will happen here
Everyone should just team up to beat DD and his crew, surley no one going to take his word as face value.
I am starting to see a usefulness in Doflamingo's flamboyant feather coat. We've seen him tank some pretty tough hits (Sanji's Diable Jambe, Luffy's Jet Gatling) by moving his coat in the way. By using armaments haki with the coat and his own body, he's creating an iron wall over his hardened body. Similar to how Diamante's coat is made of steel, but using haki. Which means Doflamingo is a REALLY practiced and strong haki user.
Damn you, Golden Week!!!
I didn't stop to think about the thread clone and if it was too stretched, but I loved this chapter nonetheless. Will read the thread now, but just wondering… I get saving the palace and the factory, but why did Doffy saved the Flower Hill as well?

Yeah but Law hax? Sabo fire… Fujitora skills?

The weapon factory Sabo talked about, maybe.

She asks Sabo if he met Luffy, so she knew.
I don't think we can already conclude that Robin knew that Sabo is Luffy's brother. It's possible that Robin is just mentioning Luffy to them during the time skip (like how Zoro shared how the world bends to Luffy to Perona). Bottomline is, it's really up to Sabo if he mentioned to Robin that he's Luffy's brother. And that, we don't know.
All eyes are on Fujitora right now. Him just staying and protecting citizens of Dressrosa doesn't make any sense, is he planning on defending them forever? Fujitora has to act, he knows that he is the most powerful guy on the island right now. The most ideal thing to do would be allying himself with Luffy and the rest for now, then making some moves together. Someone with such perception should know that Luffy doesn't mean citizens any harm, but there's just no no way he'll just protect the citizens and simply leave things to the pirates he doesn't even know without speaking to them. I don't think he cares about Flamingo status anymore, now that he showed everyone his true maniacal side.
If by any chance he joins this stupid Doflamingo game and tries to hunt the wanted guys to stop the bloodshed, then he I'll lose every bit of respect for him (and I have a lot of it for Fuji). He's probably really pissed off at Dofla and he can't contact Sakazuki.
Yeah but Law hax? Sabo fire… Fujitora skills?
I still can't get around how he imagines to take out Fujitora. There won't be anything left of the roasted Mingo once this arc is done.
She asks Sabo if he met Luffy, so she knew.
The whole world knows that Robin and Luffy are friends as they are in the same damn crew. :P
Doula doesn't seem to realize that the huge majority of bounty hunters are following Usopp already.
Luffy scuffles a little with Doflamingo, who does not play around. He hakis up and delivers a strong punch to our rubber hero.
Don't forget, he also hit him with a slashing attack! Two attacks in one move! :D
http://www.mangapanda.com/one-piece/745/8
I haven't seen the slash mentioned much in this thread when people talk about Luffy VS DF,
they only mention the punch. Are they just somehow missing the cuts Luffy took to his back?

Haha, I guess I did.
I guess people already pointed out the many issues with this plan. I would've prefered if it stayed just as the cage + massive parasite. The Battle Royale/The Raid/The Dark Knight/etc. . . scenario doesn't work since we know people right now want to see Doflamingo dead above all else. Oda will still make people fall for it (this chapter we saw guys like Dagama and Jeet & Abdullah interested in what Dofla was saying, as little sense it makes), but as of now their grudge should me much much bigger than any economical profit they might be promised, plus trusting Dofla should be an issue in itself. . .
On the other hand, he's been trying to make some kind of comment in many situations throughout the arc that the masses are an unpredictable force, that people are inherently greedy, etc. . . so maybe he plans on playing with that for a while. That's good and everything, it just doesn't (or shouldn't) work after everything Dofla has done and after everyone on the island has one and only thought in mind, to kill Doflamingo.
Well, at least the very short fight was pretty sweet, and Pica is one overpowered motherfucker. He's shapeshifting the whole freaking island to his will. That's hard-fucking-core.
There is one other thing people might be worried about: their own lives. The game is about killing either Doflamingo or the people he's going to name to end this chaos, the money thing seems just like an afterthought and just to inspire the most greedy and assholish of the people currently in Dressrosa
The weapon factory Sabo talked about, maybe.
That's what I thought at first, even though I support there is no factory in Dressrosa (and it will be the one in Caribou's story). However, isn't the underground of the Flower Hills where the HQ of Riku army is located already (the place where the dwarves, Kyros and the Usoland Pirates reunited)?

Yeah, I know, but it is the only thing I could think about it.
seriously, though.

my same thought
calling it now. Fujitora will use his fruit to bring the palace and flower hill back down to grown level and destroy it.
it seems like DD is back to his cool hubris self. unlike his clone who was more panicky.
i wish double issue meant double chapter :(
I wonder how strong kaidou is, mingo has 0% fear of fujitora or high CP agents, but against kaidou he pee his pants.
That guys must be a living monster

Curious now.
How do you people know that Doflamingo fears Kaido?
Pica is a rock ABSORPTION MAN, not a Logia. . .
Caesar absorbed the shinokuni gas and he was a Logia. Being a "rock assimilation man" doesn't mean anything in regards to whether he's a Logia or not
Curious now.

did you see his facial expression when law even mentioned his name.
There is no reason for Fujitora not to just levitate up to the palace (remember when he did that with Doflamingo after he shot Law) and take some strong fighters with him and whoop Flamingos sorry ass.. especially when the shortest way to success is to kill Doflamingo which he himself said lol. Another thing is Doflamingo let Law go.. who can cut Kairoseki stone with his ability. Damn, Dofllamingo must be either dumb or double Yonkou level, hahaha. This whole birdcage scenario is kinda very dissapointing and also is basically the same what Enel did. :getlost:

If he is a Logia, why didn't Viola called him Rock Logia instead of Rock Assimilating Man?
People seem to be forgetting that Doflamingo is a CD and therefore Fujitora technically cannot touch him.
Well, eat your heart out, Kaku.
Wouldn't they still be able to fight each other even when knocked out seeing as it is Doflamingo and not their own body that is controlling their movements?
This might be one of Dolamingo's weaknesses of his power which is that he can't control people unless they're conscious. Otherwise Doflamingo would be way overpowered and almost invincible.
Mentioned that on first page as well as Fujitora possibly using CoC, revealing he has it to knock most of people on island. It would nicely hype him as it should cover words of Chinjao that countless strong people in New World have CoC.
It would be a bit boring and tragic if while arc continues everybody fooder-like go around and kill each other.
My post was actually a reply to your post but I forgot to quote you D: But yeah, I would prefer if Luffy used Conquerer's Haki for this scenario rather Fujitora because I think it has already been established that Fujitora is a formidable character and I also think this is Luffy's moment to shine in front of everybody and piss off Doflamingo.
when did law cut seastone?
You see it in Chapter 677. Strawhats were wrapped in seastone chains. And Law just cuts it off. It was pointed out few pages ago.
People seem to be forgetting that Doflamingo is a CD and therefore Fujitora technically cannot touch him.
People forgetting that he isn't, by his own admission.
If he is a Logia, why didn't Viola called him Rock Logia instead of Rock Assimilating Man?
Because nobody does that…? She didn't call him a Paramecia Rock Assimilating Man either
when did law cut seastone?
Technically, when he cut Smoker's warship in two pieces on Punk Hazard. Those are supposed to be coated with seastone at the hull.
10 years later…i finally learned what double issue means.....hahahaha.
anyway. DD is going to get his ass pwned. why? b/c there's like 3 heavy hitters on the island.
Curious now.
How do you people know that Doflamingo fears Kaido?
They say that he values the factory more than his own life, with the factory being the only reason keeping Kadou from going after Mingo. And as others mentioned, that was half of Law's plan.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Because nobody does that…? She didn't call him a Paramecia Rock Assimilating Man either
Why emphasize on the assimilating part, if a logia would be able to gain control anyway?
