Was it me or did Oda make it seem like it took an admiral, vice admiral and 3 DD sub. to defeat Franky? haha, i know it's not the case but it would be pretty badass. (love me some franky).
One Piece Chapter 743 - Turbulent Dressrosa
-
-
Law didn't lie about that. Taking Kaidou down is still the main entree, the Mingo thing is just a personal side order for Law.
nope,it's not,at least if we listen to law.
he was never going to attack kaido, his only objective was to make kaido go against doflamingo by destroying the factory -
Next chapter Manshelly comes out from the shadows. She has the power to create Illusions and was tricked Into helping Doflamingo.
Seriously, I hope it was really Doflamingo who got beheaded. That would be a little payback for being responsible for the death of Rebecca's mom. Even if it doesn't kill Doflamingo.
-
Sanji did point out that Law was way more interested in Doula Mongo.
Nami explained Law actions in Three Cards. Law didn't lie. If Law lied, it means this alliance ends once Mingo is defeated. We all know that won't happen, this alliance matches towards Kaidou.
-
Anyone who believes Doffy is dead must have just started reading One Piece yesterday.
Either Doflamingo can reattach his severed head and limbs with his strings, or Pica made a Doflamingo duplicate at the last second (<–- This one is kinda far-fetched).
-
I only see a few possiblities here
One is law since it specifically shows his face there. Although I dont know why he would save him after he wanted to take him out himself earlier. Maybe he wants him for himself.
Two is something with Pica since he disappeared
Three would be something fruit related.
By the look on dofla's face he was not worried or surprised at all just annoyed really.
can't wait for next week
-

Cmon, Nami was just assuming. She was not on the bridge to listen Law's reveal.
Of course the alliance will surely go on after this arc and a little talk between both captain. But right now the alliance is dead for Law.
Or maybe Law was lying in this panel, but I don't think so. -
nope,it's not,at least if we listen to law.

Law already stated that he doesn't mind if Kaidou kills him or if he does it himself so if he used his room to save Doula from Curos he still needs him for something… -

Law can still lie about his intentions and be forced by Luffy to continue the alliance because "You said we'd take out a yonkou and that's what I wanna do!"
That would be a very Luffy-esque attitude towards this fiasco
Shit he might continue on with the plan after Mingo is defeated simply because he's grateful/Kaido starts hunting them down
-

His main target is still Doula. I never said he wasn't interested in Kaidou.
-

Or maybe Law was lying in this panel, but I don't think so.Ahh…........I should I explain this. In a way it's an assumption. But that is the way the author conveyed the message of what's actually going on.
-
Didn't anyone read the part where Nami said to the crew that he was stalling for time and risking his life so they could get away with the 2 trumph cards (momo and CC)?
Didn't anyone read the part where Law said he never gave a shit about Kaido?
It's his word vs her assumptionEdit: Late reply.
Law could be lying but that pitiful thought of the heart seat at the end of 729 makes me think otherwise -
Yes, and also wants to get the attention of Kaidou.
Fooling Luffy is easy. But to convince the whole crew, Law needed at least to come up with a false plan that seems possible. Obviously he could not say:
"let's kill Doffy, it is a part of the plan, you will see later why…"
-
Didn't anyone read the part where Nami said to the crew that he was stalling for time and risking his life so they could get away with the 2 trumph cards (momo and CC)?
and how that changes the fact that he doesn't want to attack kaidou?
caesar is still useful sicne if dofla saves caesar,he can just recreate another factory and avoid kaidou's wrath -
My crazy theory of the day: What Kyros cut down was not DD but a rock clone created by Pica! I know it's crazy, but I've read far worse :ninja:… Anyway, TERRIFIC chapter. I've loved the whole Dressrosa arc from the very start!
-
Didn't anyone read the part where Law said he never gave a shit about Kaido?
It's his word vs her assumptionLaw has no need to tell the truth to Doula, actually quite the opposite. It's not really a smart move, putting all your cards on the table while your plan isn't foolproof…
Or do you guys actually like the mastermind cliché, explaining an entire plan to have it blow up in your face. -
Law was lying about lying about lying and was lying. Am i missing some more lying going on?
Leave Aizen out of this.
All evidence points to Law ONLY caring about Doflamingo getting his ass kicked regardless of who does it or how.
-

"let's kill Doffy, it is a part of the plan, you will see later why…"
No, incorrect. If he told Luffy to help him kill the bird man. Luffy will do it without hesitation and Luffy's crew will go with Luffy no matter what. Luffy owes him that much. Law did have a plan to take down Kaidou. That conversation on the hilltop in PH wasn't bollocks.
-
What a chapter, What. A. Chapter. This is the stuff of legends! What with Kyros' badassery and "Lucy" destroying the whole freaking arena, it was well worth enduring the build-up chapters.
(By the way hello everyone, this is my first time posting here)Now, what if Dofla has really been beheaded ? No kage bunshins, tomato surprise logia, haxx0red paramecia nonsense or asspull whatnots, just a close shave. It would give much more strength to the story, and credit to Kyros' strength, than a magical "OR NOT" next chapter. While still not preventing a comeback - Dofla is the main antagonist of this arc and the best one in the entire series. Of course I want him to not be dead. Just, not in a way that feels cheesy. For example, Law may finally decide to save his life so that he'll be indebted to him later. Sosies are acceptable too. The San Angel castle parallel is also very clever. But please, please, no more tricky paramecia powers.
-
Ahh…........I should I explain this. In a way it's an assumption. But that is the way the author conveyed the message of what's actually going on.
Oda isn't a conveyor. It is the way you perceive the dialogue and you might be right. But don't involve the author. You are just gently implying (again) that I don't know anything about One Piece.
-
Ahh…........I should I explain this. In a way it's an assumption. But that is the way the author conveyed the message of what's actually going on.
So far, all of Law's actions came with the intent of screwing mainly Doula.
If anything, Kaidou is more of a dessert with Doula being the main entry going by your food analogy.
I'm not saying he's not interested in Kaidou, but he's doing this plan mostly to take down Doula.
-
No, incorrect. If he told Luffy to help him kill the bird man. Luffy will do it without hesitation and Luffy's crew will go with Luffy no matter what. Luffy owes him that much. Law did have a plan to take down Kaidou.
What makes you think he'd have full faith that Luffy would accept out of gratefulness if he said "Hey will you risk your life to help me out with this revenge quest?" He's told Luffy not to feel indebted to him. Chapters before he proposed the alliance.
Law's been thoroughly shocked by nearly everything Luffy has done since they formed the alliance so he clearly had different preconceptions about him and his crew.

It's also really funny to wonder what the fuck happened during those 10 years of turning living things into toys.
I mean, they have a frigging zoo in there! The gorilla, a lion, a snake, a giraffe. . .what the hell? Were these animals planning a revolt or something, and Dofla sent Sugar to deal with them? Or are they all Colosseum animals, like Ucy and the fighting lion? And the marines and government oficers, man, that's like setting yourself for some huge shit should something happen to Sugar. It's probably easier to kill them if they're bothering you, I don't think Dofla is afraid of killing a few marines that might be bothering him. . .
Gotta say, though, the gorilla on the Colosseum's audience must be one of the randomest things ever. Loved it.
Now, watch Oda concentrate entirely on the Colosseum next week and totally dodge the Dofla situation. And watch the forum go coco bananas with the speculation.
What if the animals were actually humans that were experimented with prototype Smiles?

except if he kills them he can't use them as slaves which is probably why he didn't do it that way lol

Kyros should have used two sword to decapitate him ! Now Doula will just reattach is head to thanks to his
life fiberstring power :ninja: -
Kyros remained unwounded for 9 years of constant fights in the ring, got worldwide known, and still some people think he's just a fodder.
Why.
well I haven't seen alot of people in here say he's fodder except darkmynja and people lets say… like him, but most people just see him as most of the ''arc characters only'' (wiper, this dude from galilea and a bunch of others) who are very skilled and competent fighters, but nothing compared to big shots like luffy and doflamingo or any toptier characters. Maybe your overestimating him a little id say
-
Is there CCC translation anywhere yet?
-
I recall vivi attack crocodile in the same way and did crocodile die , no
-
So should we expect strings to somehow extend from both open wounds, and reconnect Doflamingo's head with strings? Or Doflamingo as a string man to actually be made of tightly sewn strings and thus, this wound really means nothing?
Doflamingo's loss at this point is overwhelmingly huge, and I can understand how his mind must have been clouded to such an extent that he'd not defend against Kuros'/Kyros' attack. What I feel is Doflamingo's state of mind is him just pausing before he decides on his next move, which should be at this point to leave Dresrosa immediately, but he won't do it. He must know now that his title as Shichibukai will be revoked immediately for real this time, and Fujitora has the authority to do so. But an insane Doflamingo has yet to be seen fully in action, and I'm looking forward to it. And a prideful guy like Doflamingo will probably take a chance to just destroy everything he's built so far, as it's going to crumble beneath his feet anyways. And that's where Fujitora will come into play as the only one capable of stopping him.
-
In the slight possibility that Doflamingo is actually dead then this would be a major turning point in how the rest of the manga will play out. I'm sure even if Oda brought himself to kill Doflamingo some next villain would find a way to bring him back to life or BB would claim his DF for one of his crewmates so that even if the tyranny has ended his DF power will still rage on.
It's not a ''slight possibility'' newyorker, it's not even a ''possibility'' at all

CCC hasn't been translating for over a month.
But some other wonderfuls have still been translating on PM.
-

I can't help but reply that it isn't anywhere near a consitent argument, it is a consistent theory in the best case. Just use the words "might, could, probably , maybe" when you describe something that did not happen and will not. Because right know you make me feel like I am a dumb reader, unable to predict the behaviour of any character in any situation with 100% accuracy like you do.
Sorry if it looked meany, it was not the purpose.
-
What's the best case scenario for Doflamingo?
We can assume that the Factory is gone, the strawhats, Marines, CP0, revolutionaries and everyone on Dressrosa is gunning for him and his crew. Kaido is after him. He is no longer a shichibukai (in fact the whole shichibukai system might be done for)
What if he escapes and signs up with Blackbeard? What if he somehow retrieves caesar or momo?
I hope there are some world nobles among the people who were turned into toys, that would be great

I use Powermanga, and I thought that was his group or where he translated. I see some of the more recent chapters now looking have been cnet's translations.
Why did CCC stop?
And I guess, then is Cnet's tranlsation anywhere yet, or do i have to wait till powermanga's release in a couple/few days

I think that Kyros might be more powerful than Luffy in a fight!! ================================================= speculation
I have seen Luffy becoming super "confirm win" powerful when he have a reason to put his life on the line. ================= observationAnyway most of the stuffs everyone are saying are just speculation. No one can prove a speculation, until it happened. Just like you can't prove Kyros is overestimated or not..
Don't deflate someone speculations with your speculations.. Peace OUT!

@Maj0ra:
Is there anyway I could gain the ability to create a thread to maintain my One Piece reviews? I made a review for this chapter and I would really like to keep a thread based in One Piece manga chapter reviews. :D
There are a few other dudes who make reviews in here, and they all post them in the chapter thread, I think you should do the same.
I don't know if there's a rule about it tho

I even said ''i'd say''

Well, to me this looks like Laws hand.
I thought it looked like baby5

To mistake Baby 5 with one of Law's limbs, you must have a real _handy_cap.
lol t'es trop con

Enough speculation on whether he is dead, how he survived and so on.
Simple poll.
Who hopes that he actually was killed in that decapitation. No BS random devil fruit save, no unknown powers, no law save for no reason, ect. Just flat out Kyros killed him. Not whether you believe it to be true or not, just whether you want it to be.
Just curious to see. I for myself have a hard time believing he is dead. Even if he isn't shown the rest of the arc I will still expect to see him in the next cover arc somehow survived. But regardless of expectations I honestly hope he is dead.
Sure its not the cliche shounen drawn out battle between our protagonist (Luffy) and the main boss of the arc (Doflamingo), but its actually neat and refreshing if it did end up being true. It would be more of a shock than Ace being killed or any other shock in the series imo. It was perfectly executed too imo. You had this super sad flashback of Kyros just a chapter or two ago and the scene was almost recreated panel by panel of Kyros attacking, yet this time Sugar didn't save the day. Kyros finally got his revenge and finished what he started 10 years ago.
Man I hope it ends up being true and not a fake out death like I and pretty much everyone else suspects.
-
I hope he is dead, he deserves it.

Chill bro.. I know how you feel.. When people don't observe and just speculate with their imagination and prejudices..
But.. Given how long Alabasta and Water7 Saga were.. We may be ending in this Saga.. But given that Fishman Island Arc ended with a ??? somehow I cannot help but feel that Oda wanna try to have a massive Sage related to what was built in Fishman Island..

I am 100% sure that Law had NOTHING to do with Doflamingo losing his head. At all. He couldn't have cause of the seastone, and because Doflamingo isn't dumb enough to not make sure that Law is in fact restrained with seastone. And there's the fact that Law wants Doflamingo dead, and was willing to sacrifice himself in trying to do it.
I can't help but feel like people are naming Law only because they can't think of anything else.
Doflamingo could have just been a body double, or a look alike made of his string or something. Or his devil fruit may give him some kind of "marionette" ability to where he can move regardless of injuries or something.
Its kind of silly how so many people are jumping on the "law saved his enemies live while he couldn't use his powers" train.
-

Oh that. You said Law came up with a false plan. Law DID have a plan to take down Kaidou. He wasn't trolling.

Would be funny if everybody after the transformation was like.
Woah ! It's Kyros, the second pirate king and the man who took One Piece.
And ending all the dreams off all the the pirates looking for One Piece XD

It wouldn't work because of Doflamingo's buildup and characterization. It would completely omit what Vergo said about him to Law and basically nullifies this arc. Doflamingo isn't just a character you kill off like that after he's been around for 500+ chapters.
And why would you want him dead already? He's literally the best OP antagonist so far. Every quality about him is amazing. No one will probably touch Doflamingo's crew except Luffy and his own now, sometime in the future. As i've said before this is beginning to feel like Water 7, the fight isn't over on DR. -
Oh that. You said Law came up with a false plan. Law DID have a plan to take down Kaidou. He wasn't trolling.
How do you know? You sound like you know it for a fact, but it could very well be true that he was bullshitting all along, we saw him lying several times. I'm not saying your wrong, but the way you talk about it makes it sound like you just know it, and you don't.
