The hell is that from?
I'm still kind of worried about the possible season six delay. I just can't ration this set for more than two months.
As for the title, no need to be snarky about it. I thought that might be an episode or scene title. Sounds like a stupid name for a show.

I wouldn't be surprised if they intentionally cast her in that role just for the sake of this scene.

I wish I could have your patience, I usually just marathon each voyage in 1-2 days, I haven't this time because I have been busy lately and know we won't get season 6 till the summer now.

I watch two episodes every weekend. It's a nice reward to a tough week (every week is tough these days). And I definitely wouldn't have time to do a one-two day marathon, anyways. Two episodes really isn't too little. And if I get the time and really want to, i don't mind rewatching the episodes again right before I watch the new two. It seems like you're the one who has to be more patient since you only get to watch new episodes bimonthly. That sort of patience seems harder than rationing. I couldn't go two months without new episodes.
Well, I could, but it would be a pain.
I'll be honest, I don't think I'll understand how anyone can ration the episodes for too long, especially w/ return policies and such. I'm a collector, and making sure all my DVDs/BDs work properly is key. I've seen cases where friends have bought series brand new from stores or online, and they take it slowly w/ watching it. Over a month later, they're reaching the end…and one of the discs doesn't work properly. He can't return it anymore, and he's stuck w/ a defective set and is left w/ the option of re-buying the same set and hoping they all work that time. Me, I watch a whole series in one go if possible. I love One Piece, but I'm never dying for more dub episodes after I finish a set. Hell, I was stuck on Voyage 2 of Season 5 since September, and only now was I able to get a new Season 5 set from Best Buy...Voyage 5...of all the sets, BB decides to stock the one where all the action ended. >< Guess it helps I'm mostly trying to save up for expensive Funi sets or (always expensive) Aniplex sets to keep my mind occupied. ^^;
I usually try to watch the One Piece sets the day when I get them. To make sure their aren't no glitches or scratches on the discs. I pretty much do that with any dvd I get anymore. Besides One Piece, I mostly been trying to catch up on my wrestling dvds. Which just important as One Piece is.
I recorded some short clips of what everybody wants to see. (Raise your volume to hear it better.)
!
So awesome :)
This just occured to me, but….what do you guys think about Kyle Hebert voicing Kuma?
He could do something like his Aizen voice except more hugh-pitched.

hmm I never really thought of kyle but he could work
Kuma is one of those voices that I think could be pretty easy to pull off as long as the VA chosen just speaks in calm monotone like the original seiyuu. I think Tatum could pull it off pretty well in particular, and it wouldn't sound anything like Eneru or Dalton so I could see him voicing Kuma if need be.
I'm still mostly looking forward to who will voice the Mysterious Four. I feel like Tia Ballard would've been a great Perona but since she already voiced Porche I don't know how likely that is. I also like the idea of Chuck Huber being Moria; it would be different from the way the seiyuu sounded (not that I'd have a problem with that because I'd rather have the inevitable barrage of KEEEEEESHIIIIIIISHIIIIIISHIIIIII not be completely grating) but would still fit the character.
For Perona, I'm hoping for Jamie Marchi. While for Moria, its have to be Chuck Huber. In my opinion, he would be so perfect for the character. Kuma, I kinda want to see John Burgimer as him using his Kurama voice.
I'm still pulling for Jay Hickman as Kuma…Mechazawa from Cromartie, nuff said. XD I think I'd prefer Chuck Huber as Hogback since he's done Stein before, but this would allow him to get even more high pitch crazy w/ his voice (which already sounds fun).

Jay Hickman as well as Kyle H. would be good fits for Kuma. But I'm still gunning for Joel McDonald to play him :P
For some reason, I still visualize Jerry Jewell for Kuma. I can imagine his Happiness Bunny sad voice for Kuma.

Oh man this would be so perfect
Jerry Jewell, Burgmeier (Kurama), and Kyle Hebert (Aizen voice) would all be excellent as Kuma, and I agree that Huber would be good for Hogback or Moria. We haven't had Jewell or Huber play an especially big role yet in the anime (Jewell was what, Kaya's butler?; Huber was Mohji and Zoro's sensei?). All four are pretty big vets at both Funimation and the anime voice acting business in general. I've always pictured Huber as Moria, maybe with a slightly different pitch or variation on his normal crazy voice. Ugh I can't wait for Thriller Bark, I hope the set wasn't delayed from May.
I'd be perfectly satisfied if Huber used his Pilaf voice for Moria honestly. It fits Moria's imp-like design like a glove.
I guess we can just hope that we'll hear him or one of the other Mysterious Four when the trailer for Voyage One is released in the next few weeks.

Nah. Looks like the release date was pushed back.
I noticed that the DBZ Season Four Blu-ray comes out on May 13th.
Probably the reason for a possible release date change.

Oh jeez, I was kinda hoping those abortion BD sets would've just died w/ the 3rd season set. Seriously, why are the good releases (DBZ Level sets) cancelled only for the crappier release to see production all the way through?:getlost: I really hope these sets do bad and continue to do so, so Funi can just pull the plug on them. I'd laugh so hard since the "mainstream" DBZ consumers deserve a good kick to the nuts w/ the reality of something they like being cancelled when they bought a good deal of it. Back to OP though, TB is one of my fav anime arcs, so I'm actually REALLY looking forward to that one…hell, I think the English dub will make the arc even more enjoyable, just like how the dub made the Warship Island arc watchable.
I really don't care for the DBZ blu-rays. They're the same re-hash we've gotten for years except in "higher definition".
I don't think the casual fan would bother with these sets and just be happy with their orange bricks.
As someone who has loved DBZ for many years, I can safely say I do in fact enjoy my orange blocks indeed. Also need to collect the blue DB blocks, and I suppose for completions sake get DBGT…
Also considering getting Kai now that it's confirmed they'll be finishing the entire thing with the buu saga now.
I'm pretty sure it was because the Level sets were expensive to make since they actually involved a more time-consuming process. That's why they actually feel like HD DBZ rather than the cropped stuff that they're currently crapping out right now.
The only thing making me consider the new DBZ Blu-rays is that awesome cover artwork, especially how it makes one large picture. I will probably pick them up down the line when they sell for super cheap
Oh yes, I'm well aware that the "reason" they stopped was that the process they were using for the Levels was costing them more than they could make back, but still, I feel they could've and should've put more thought into how they were gonna go about the Level sets what w/ the cost, time of the process, and the amount of episodes per set. Y'know, the only redeeming quality to these "HD orange bricks" that Funi is currently releasing would be if the money they made off these sets would end up going to the eventual re-release of the Level sets for the purists down the line…though that's mostly likely not going to the happen and the Levels will remain like the "Ultimate Uncut Edition" singles, which I got suckered in to. Guess I'm forever stuck w/ the Orange Bricks...at least the disc art for my DB/DBZ/DBGT DVDs are all symmetrical in that sense. XP

That wouldn't make sense, DBZ releases in the past released the same time as One Piece DVD's.
I've actually just started reading Dragon Ball online…for the longest time I thought I'd never tried it, but on a whim 3 days ago I started reading it. I just finished the Pilaf Saga moments ago...if you can call it that. (Seems pretty short to call it a Saga, but eh, I'm used to One Piece Sagas. Also, Pilaff had very minimal presence up till the very end, seems like an odd name.) I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. It's certainly not better than what I currently hold as my favorite series, but I like the adventurous nature. Of course, once the timeskip comes and it transitions into Z...well...
Don't care for anything dragon ball related things other than the buu saga for kai but anyway I'm still hoping that it voyage 1 comes out in may doubt it'll be that much of a delay if it is pushed back
You guys should listen to the Episode 335 Commentary track. They got very…creative... with that one.
boy he's not kidding, they got straight up silly up in here yo.
Has anyone else noticed that the video quality seems to have decreased in Season five: Voyage Six? I've watched the first few episodes and there's some noticeable aliasing (jagged lines on curves which should be smooth) in some shots, particularly noticeable in pans, which I don't recall the previous sets having. Hopefully this won't happen again on future sets.

Spoke to rep at Madman. It's planned for July with a dub by Funi and will be released at the same time by Madman.
Take it as you will.
Ya know, if this is being planned for July, I could see FUNimation announcing the license at Anime Boston.
Surprisingly soon, if true. Sounds good to me. I haven't seen Z, and I hear it's the best. Personally itching more for movie 6, though.
I hope what you're saying is true. I can't wait for the dub of Film Z!
I certainly wouldn't object to it, though it is surprisingly soon considering how far they have to go before reaching the timeskip. On the plus side we'd be able to hear Kizaru and Akainu early.
If FUNi keeps up their current release schedule, I can see them reaching the timeskip sometime around 2017. This year they'll be finishing Thriller Bark, 2015 would have them cover Sabaody, Amazon Lily and Impel Down, and 2016 would cover Marineford and the Luffy flashback.
Well, if it turns out to be true then…awesome! Can't wait for it.
Film Z was a lovely movie and it's got tons of Marines involved, which is fantastic.

Film Z is set for a July release according to @YonkouProd after speaking to Madman reps at Wai-Con.
Wait…what?
This seems way TOO soon and really out of left field.
The voyages aren't even close to the time skip and it's a pretty big spoiler for those who are following the DVD releases.

Thinking about that, we'll get to see some Admirals dubbed (Kizaru and Akainu) IIRC.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Now that I'm done with my day, I spoke to the product manager at Madman who basically decides on what gets released here in Australia and their closeness to the actual US release. He pretty much said that Film Z will be released in July of this year without the typical 1-2 months delay that comes with these partnerships. Also for those in Australia a Treasure Chest collection 3 will be coming out by the end of the year to accompany the previous two which covered up to Season 4. That decision is yet to be made but since a lot of people are waiting on that instead of the more expensive collections (voyages) it'll likely happen.

Perfect. I'm all for it, bring on Film Z dubbed. My body is ready.
Definitely pre-ordering for this one. Funi's really deserves a pat on the back, they're been super active about getting more OP stuff, they've truly done OP a lot of justice.
Couple years ago, I never would've imagined we'd ever get this far with a dub for OP. Well done Funi.
Well well well if this is true I'll definitely welcome it even tho I'd rather it be a little bit after they've. Released sabaody
I still can't help but be skeptical both because it seems so soon and because FUNi hasn't put out an official announcement themselves about it yet, but I'm not going to say no to them dubbing Film Z either.

I have no reason to doubt Madman, but IIRC Funi actually announced Film Z with Season 5 but later retracted that statement. Regardless, thinking about Season 6 it has been pushed back a little I believe so I think that was to make leeway for dubbing the film. Hopefully, we'll get something out soon either way. (July isn't that far!)
They usually announce films a year before they release them, not a few months. I'm skeptical, but I'm more than happy to see more one piece of any kind.
I haven't even started the new set yet. I'm dreading rationing it over the long break.
