You know guys, as i was Jogging today and hatching eggs in the game (that's right i can jog while i do shit and not run into walls, i wish i could put that in my CV) I remembered how i felled in love with the second gen. In Pokemón Red i really liked Nidoking and Venusaur so i couldn't wait when i heard about the next gen. I saw Totodile and was excited. Then an image of Crobat filtered (or i saw it in a gaming magazine) and i just told myself "Is this how it feels to be in love?" I was a really stupid kid for my standards but somehow i downloaded a ROM of the japanese version (DON'T JUDGE ME!). I really love the design of Lediba (Holy shit, a Ladybug!) and Mareep (OMG!!! it's so cute and fluffy!). I made my way through without really grasping the history but i was fighting taking medals (HOLY SHIT, WAS WHITNEY HARD) and leveling up. Then…Flaafy started evolving. At the start i only saw the Silhouette but then...
I saw Ampharos.
It was love at first sight. My favorite Pokemón ever. EVER. When the game came out i bought it as soon as my child economy could. It was perfect :3
But everything changed when Hoenn Region attacked.

Hoenn is the only older gen I can replay and not be like 'such outdate' cause it's my favourite. My first gen I played was gen 2 then the Hoenn reveals and leaks and previews… hgn. Good times.

Finally. Completed national dex. All 718.
Not quiiite a complete live dex yet, I still have a handful of things to breed baby or middle forms of that I went through earlier…. but... feels like an accomplishment!
Wish I'd realized sooner the oval charm was available, I might have prioritized finishing the local dexes first.

I wasn't a fan of Hoenn, actually each generation I was enjoying the games a bit less (I couldn't even finish Pearl) until Black/White came out and I loved it (and now I am enjoying X even more).
Don't know why, looking back now it was a generation full of great pokes (maybe I just couldn't get over the fact Flygon was not Dragon/Bug. Guys, i don't really hate Hoenn. It's all a joke/troll but it's so delicious how you respond to it that i will never stop. If we really talk about dislike the 4th gen is the one game that i never finished because it was SO FUCKIN SLOW. I got to the 8th gym and couldn't keep going. I felt the slowness was sucking the life out of me. Although people say all of that was fixed in Platinum.

Looks like Diancie is able to be hacked in game, it's moveset is already listed. Sucks that the exclusive attack it gets is physical, instead of special. Power Gem is still the most powerful in that department :getlost:

On a different note: I've been trying out the super training mini-games and I have to say they're pretty convenient, albeit time consuming. Also, scoring high on the lvl. 2 and higher regimes with low level mons is pretty tough. Especially since each EV has a different effect on your stats in the regime, and each pokemon species has a different type of ball shot. That being said, scoring with pokemon like Rufflet is easy (fast, powerful single shots), while scoring with pokemon like Flabebe or Cyndaquil is tough (weak, multi shots).

That being said, scoring with pokemon like Rufflet is easy (fast, powerful single shots), while scoring with pokemon like Flabebe or Cyndaquil is tough (weak, multi shots).
If you can get your hands on the Power Items from the Battle Maison, Horde Training is much faster for EV training.
