Twitch Plays Pokemon

So, who is the villain now?
Bill?
-
Just think about it.
Red uses the PC with approximately the same efficiency and efficacy as the people who are controlling him.

Weird cause democracy has yet to have blood in their hands unlike the anarchists, the helix followers.
Edit:what game is this one?

I just want to point that having a Nidoking makes all of Twitch fuckin Geniuses.
-
They should teach Nidoking Surf and Strength. But that's probably too much to ask right now.
-
I'm pretty sure we don't need to hit that goddamn switch again if you look at the map layout

I hope someone plugs up a Twitch plays pokemon GEN2 after this. Gold and Silver was the golden era of pokemon, truly amazing games.

And the first ones you played/saw being played? :P
No offense, of course, I definitely agree that Gen 2 was and always will be the generation that I consider the best, but it's good to remember and acknowledge the slight bias if it exists.

and dead. Guess we try again from the start?
-
Oh man, Gen 2. I played my copy of silver so much and then i lost it in a cab along with another games :(

My first Pokemon game was Blue, and i caught all 151 (152 if you count missigno) long before GEN 2 came out. I even bought a Gameboy Printer to print out that little "You caught them all!-Certificate" haha.
But Gen 2 improved on so many aspects and had a fantastic, vast world with (imo) with some of the coolest legendaries (Entei still my favourite pokemon of all time) and great lore. Does anyone remember the Anon cave sidequest? god it was a pain to complete and the reward was lackluster to say the least, but it was still one of those cool little features that added depth to the world.I remember Celebi being completley broken aswell, he would sweep through my friends entire teams of lvl 100's when he was in his late 80s.
Celebi - Blissey - Marowak (with the ridicolously OP bone clup item) was a damn strong 3v3 team
Gen III had a cool story but way less interesting pokemons, IMO

I didn't watch even a minute of it, but I LOVE to read the comments about it (here, Dorkly, etc).
Just out of curiosity, I heard they somehow managed to teach Surf to Lapras and evolve Nidorino. Was it in anarchy or democracy?

Surprisingly, it was anarchy.

Your friend should have put a Houndoom in his party.
Anyway, I've played every single generation of Pokemon, and while Red/Blue definitely holds an irreplaceable….umm, place in my heart, I think Gold/Silver was still the best generation. Fixed most of the major bugs in Red/Blue, added 100 new Pokemon, implemented a day/night clock, and you even got to play through Kanto again after the Elite Four. It was just so much fun.
-
Red/Blue/Yellow are pretty much impossible for me to play nowadays because subsequent games did literally everything better.
-
I had a moment in the office when I heard Lord Helix had been revived.
This was just after work IRC decided to put Twitch in control of our sysadmin, who proceeded to release most of the developers into the wild, and stored me in the PC.
It's not been long since the massacre at the Rock Tunnel Pokecentre, and yet since then, we've crossed almost the entire map (seriously), evolved a Nidoking using a moon stone we picked up from a wall, and revived Omanyte. No matter how slow our Pokemon Mansion progress may be, there's a huge showing of team spirit lately, and it's really brightened the day, even if it has made me feel that TPP is starting to reach its conclusion.
I remember curiously tuning in when a friend mentioned it, to see Bill enter his machine after asking Red for help, and Red proceeding to run around the desk for ten minutes before running halfway back to Cereulean with the chat shouting 'we must give up on Bill, he is already dead'. No wonder he decided to turn his PC against us.
And now so much has happened. I feel curiously emotional about it all, and that's before looking at all the fanart (although the fanart, as part of the general fandom of this experiment, has made this what it is. There isn't a Drowzee with average stats, there is The Keeper, and so on).

And yeah, I have a huge fondness for Generation I. I actually had Blue imported from the States before it was released out here because I was kinda impatient XD
The games are horrendously flawed of course, in sometimes amusing ways (I've watched through the whole 'Let's Glitch Pokemon Yellow' series by MissingnoXpert on YouTube) but they were my first, and you always remember your first. I think most gamers of my generation get wistful at the Vermilion City melody, for example. There's almost no comparing them with what they became, but it's not the games we remember so much as the experience.

Ryhorn, a nidoran and a zubat
seriously the anarchists can't touch the pc without killing something.

By the time this end everyone is going to be there.Oh well, it's a pity I guess, but I was preparing for the worst.

This is just hilarious …
They finally reached the key! They were standing directly in front of it ... just as Bird Jesus fainted of poison and Red whited out.

Oh, THAT'S what happened.
LOL. God, this Pokemon Mansion.

Well, think of it this way guys: This is our last hurdle and then we take out Blaine and Giovanni (both of whom shouldn't be that difficult)
And then, AND THEN...we get to take on the FINAL BATTLE.

Here it is: http://i.minus.com/ibyZreZ3k1WnFM.gif

Going to sleep now. When i'm coming home tomorrow they'll probably beaten gym 7 and 8 and Gary. Always missing the good battles. >_>

Oh wow, I know the guy who did the interview (Alex Hern is a friend of mine) XD
There have already been Gen 2 Twitches but I guess one by the original streamer will seem more legit? And not clash with the original too?
Though it'll never have the same appeal, not quite.
-
Nah, obviously not, the voting system and the amount of people following makes it seem less intense. But it'll still be fun and spawn many new stories of glory, survival, and tragedy. And it will be really fun for all of us Gen 2 fanatics who can't wait to see Gold's adventures with ABBBBBL ( the
CyndaquilTotodileChikorita. But to give Red a cameo in the next run with our final team? That's going to be insane.
-
Did anybody exploit that gold/silver glitch that gave you x number of a certain item and shiny pokemon? Maybe I was just screwing around with my game shark but I don't remember
-
Oh, I know I did. I copied several Pokémon and Master Balls that way. But I think I ended up either boxing or releasing them all for good because it felt like cheating and ruining the game.
-
This is all assuming we get past victory road and the elite four lol
-
Couldv'e sworn stuff happened after victory road
Well, yeah, but the Elite Four will be a cinch compared to that.
-
But to give Red a cameo in the next run with our final team? That's going to be insane.
That's true.
Actually, it's almost a shame they never included that in the actual games - would have been fun to try and beat yourself XD

I can just imagine the frustation of someone that turned competitive Playing against a young version of himself
"Godammit, a Venusaur and five Caterpies? What was wrong with me?!

Well, yeah, but the Elite Four will be a cinch compared to that.
After all, this is how our entire team will look by the end of victory road.

Now zapdos is the archangel of justice? How fast they forget the red sunday.
-
the allure of the antichrist is strong

Okay, how did they get stuck like this? I mean, how is it possible that they got stuck like this?
Oh yeah. Gen 1
-
I missed out on the last couple of days :( How did they catch Zapdos??
-
-
Looks like they're trapped right now o_0 Dunno how they can get out
-
Did they got Omanyte?
-
Seriously how did they get stuck behind that guy? I guess we wait several hours for them to white out to wild pokemon…
-
That's one hell of a glitch. How did this even happen?
-
fuckin RIP hahah

Master ball.
Was about to say… I seemed to of missed an absolutely ton of the story in 2 days :(
