I'm with Light Bro on this Trebol is a Logia argument, honestly. As long as we're not shown evidence or a better explanation of his abilities that would prove his weird shapeshifting and drooping down from the castle walls like a lump of liquid goo, I think it's a safe assumption to make that he's a Logia. No Paramecia enables its users to abandon the human shape, it just makes altering the structure in some way possible.
What is more interesting, though, is that if he's a Logia, Usopp and Robin will have to deal with him.
In the anime (yes i know lol anime etc) trebol falls from the roof as a lump, which suggests paramecia
Actually it doesn't hold a meaning in itself that whether Trebol is Logia or Paramecia but like Toraish mentioned since Robin and Usopp is to deal with him I'd prefer him being a Logia. I think the page him appearing in front of Doffy indicates he is a logia.

We see his coat change shape. The ring patterns are clearly visible, and they probably wouldn't be seen at all if he coated himself in slime.
Trebol may well be a logia, I just interpreted him as only producing this substance rather than actually becoming it on top of that.

That's exactly the reason for which it would be meaningful.
If Smoker finds himself in a situation where he has to reconsider everything he believed on for a lifetime it would be deep and meaningful.

No way they can try to say that. We will point to Daz Bones (changing part of limbs into blades) or Inazuma (changes hands into scissors) and tell them she's the same as them= only able to transform part of her body, not the entire body. There is always a part (or most in Inazuma's case) of the body that remains unchanged and still human. That is opposite of most logias (BB being the notable exception) who can change fully into a substance.

Does anyone else sense that Sugar's power can mean something important to the story later on? Like maybe she turned someone important into a toy that caused the world to forget him/her. Like a Joyboy (just an example) or, as many have theorized already, Kyros. Seeing as how she could be super old, maybe it will be a way to bring something up that Oda didn't foresee to mention prior in his story. I don't mean to make her into the next Jewelry Bonny but I just found it interesting.

As for Trebol I would say he is paramecia like Magellan was. Magellan was shown producing posion, Trebol produces sticky substance of some sorts.
Both seem to be in control of their element as Magellan was able to control hydras made out of his poison and Trebol seemed to have perfect control over part of him that picked fighters from cell- one after another. For me Trebol is clearly a paramecia as we didnt had proof of him being a logia- changing body shape in way like Monet did during fight with Zoro.
Pica seems to be closer to logia fruit on other hand as he is assimilating and going through stone. Monet used snow in same way, also some of logia fruit users like Enel for example, or Cesar shown "final forms" of their fruits- Enel with his god-like form and Cesar assimilated Shinokuni and showed something like final form as well. It seems that Pica is in same kind of form that Enel or Cesar were. Also his size clearly changed through using walls around him. Beside that Stone logia power would be a bit special as it does not make persons body fluid so to say.
So my bets are that Trebol is Paramecia and Pica is Logia. But of course I might be wrong.

Currently, I'm more inclined to believe Trebol is a logia. On this page:

It looks like Trebol fell in front of Dofla face first. There's a black part in the bottom of the coat that looks like it made a "splat". And in the next panel, parts of his face seem to be sticking on the floor.
And glue can be found in nature too. Some plants secrete it.

Barto knows Luffy's past and present. While knowing he lost his brother Ace who had a crossed S in his arm, Barto shared the moment with Luffy that S person appearing in front of Luffy. I wouldn't be sırprised at the end of the tournament if Bart would ask Sabo if he can call him a brother.
Just to clarify, he actually calls Sabo "Dai senpai", dai means big/great.. or older in this sentance. So he somewhat recognize Luffy and Sabo's bond (and most likely Ace's bond as well with Sabo).

I think that armor was a weapon. You can see smoke coming out of those holes on the elbow part after his first attack. Ideo had those exploding knuckles so it wouldn't be that strange.

Great chapter! This, for me, is the best arc at this point since Skypiea (not including Marinford, as that was built up in and around other arcs). Great mix of characters and plotlines. I can sense some major twists in the works. I love how Oda weaves situations together and connects them all at the end. Pure genius.
I don't think the plan on Sugar will go so smoothly. It'll probably be a battle before Sugar eats the tatababasco, and knowing Usopp it'll be a fun battle. Hopefully we get to see Robin go all out.
I wondered how Oda was going to use all the colosseum fighters in the plot, since there was so many. But having them all turned to toys keeps them all out the way in their own struggle. Cavendish will be the main focus, and by having a split character in Hakuba, the affect of being turned into a toy may not be the same for him as the others. But if Usopp and co succeed, it wouldn't make much of a difference unless they let Sugar escape somehow (but defeat Trebol at least).
Highlight for me: Sabo blocking Burgess. His fighting style most likely stems from Dragon. I think the fight will change if the toys in the colosseum become human, and the rules will be abandoned making it an all out chase for the devil fruit (if it even is the DF, knowing Donflamingo it could be another scheme which would explain why Diamante looks too calm against fighters of Burgess and "Lucy's" caliber)
It seems Burgess used Haki as well. That is not a good sign, if Burgess use CoA and his armor went into pieces. Shows a gulf in Haki strength to me.
I guess it's not a gulf in Haki but simple a difference of strength (although I don't even consider this because it would make it seems like Sabo is stronger than Burgess) or perhaps a difference in Haki mastery between both of them. Or even that his armor wasn't hard enough to endure Sabo's move.
