One Piece 30 Day Challenge

Im going with the Sir Crocodile!
-
Day1: Robin, Luffy and Sanji are my top 3.
Day2: Arlong or Crocoboy -
First time seeing this, so I'll post Day 1 as well with Day 2.
Favorite Straw Hat: Can't really choose one because all of them are hilarious, but I lean towards the one I like a bit more than the others, Robin (On the episode where she was first interviewed by Usopp, I was sold when she made her hands sprout on the sides of Luffy's head, so Luffy could imitate Chopper to Usopp XD)
Favorite Villian: For me, it's a tie between Crocodile, Akainu, and Caesar Clown. Crocodile is my favorite serious villian and Caesar is my favorite goofy villian, but Akainu is my all time favorite because I despise him the most which means he's doing his job as a villian.

Suppose it's a good time to start day 3.
Day 3: Favorite Scene
… I'm gonna have to think on this one for a bit; too many good scenes!

Day 3: Favorite Scene
… I'm gonna have to think on this one for a bit; too many good scenes!
Aww…I had already made my post for Day 1 & 2 above already lol. Ah, it's okay.
Favorite Scene: Sorry, but I have two. Robin's "I Want to Live" scene (especially in the anime, english dubbed) and Luffy's mental breakdown when Ace died in his lap.
-
Aaah! I didn't see this thread, neat idea!
I'll briefly post what I missed:
Day 1: Luffy is my favorite character. Cliche yes, but I've loved him ever since I started this series. And yes, that was the 4kids dub back in 2005. Who knew?
Day 2: Favorite villain? Crocodile, gonna be Crocodile.Day 3: Favorite Scene
Hmm…so hard to pick....
But I choose the scene where Luffy uses Gum-Gum Storm and punches Crocodile through the Alabastan royal tomb. So intense, so jaw-dropping. Not only did it mark the defeat of a compelling villain, but it was one of many scenes that shows how hard Luffy is willing to fight. Made even better in the anme, where orchestral music plays!
-
I can't pick a favorite scene, you're asking an impossible question:ninja:
There are just too many. I suppose if I had to though, I'd pick the scene in Shakky's Bar where Rayleigh reminisces about how great his captain and best friend, Gol D. Roger, was when he was still alive.
I makes me feel warm and fuzzy to think that one day Zoro and possibly even the rest of the crew will one day do the same thing for Luffy once he's gone and their journey has ended.
-
Day 3: Favorite Scene? Oh, this is really hard. I'm not sure if I'm able to pick only one scene.- Whitebeard’s Death scene - One word: EPIC
- Robin’s “I want to live!” - It gets me every time I read it
- The scene after Luffy’s flashback, when he cries out “I AM WEAK!” - what a powerfull, emotional scene, it gives me goosebumps
And like… thousand other scenes more.
Eh, there are too many great scenes to choose from! D: -
Favorite scene: For me, Jinbei's speech to Luffy at Amazon Lily and Luffy's resolve after that. Really great scene, and it's what made Luffy one of my favorite Strawhats along with a few other scenes from him. Related to this also are Shanks' thoughts at Whitebeard's and Ace's grave. Powerful scenes.
Honorable mentions: Luffy pushing the two buildings apart at Water 7 with Aqua Laguna coming in. The cherry blossoms at Drum. The seprartion at Sabaody.
There's a lot of great scenes, really hard to choose. -
Day 2 - Hody Jones. Always Hody Jones.
! Always. Hody. Jones.
! But honestly my favorite is easily Donquixote Doflamingo. Half cause his name, half cause of his design, and half cause he is just truly and utterly sinister. If not DD then I'll say Crocodile, for similar reasons.
Day 3- Zoro "Absolutely nothing".
- Luffy saying repeatedly that he wants to get stronger in the flashback after Sabo is shot by the Celestial Dragons.
- Right when everyone appears on the battlefield at FI for the 10 vs. 100,000. This just felt epic, regardless of anything else in that arc.
- Saul teaching Robin how to laugh.
Any of the above really.
-
day 3: Ugh, too many good ones. Robins 'I want to live' and the strawhat separation are the fist I'm thinking of.
-
**Day 1-**Gotta go with my man: Tony Tony Chopper
Honorable Mentions: Roronoa Zoro and Monkey D LuffyDay 2- No question about it. It's Crocodile.
Honorable Mentions: Don Krieg, Arlong, Magellan, and Rob LucciDay 3- Ugh. I gotta go with Zoro's choice of suffering Luffy's pain in Thriller Bark. This gave me chills and pure amazement.
Honorable Mentions: Whitebeard's Death, Ace's Death, "I want to live" and Ace's "Do I deserve to live"–-> "I love you guys. I'm crying right now" -
Day 3: Zoro's throws his pride for the captain.
-
Day 1: My two favorites are Luffy and Robin
Day 2: Arlong
Day 3: Luffy one-shotting Bellamy. It was obvious that Luffy was stronger than Bellamy but I at least expected him to put up somewhat of a fight. reading that scene for the first time literally made me yell out oh shit. -
Suppose it's a good time to start day 3.
Day 3: Favorite Scene
… I'm gonna have to think on this one for a bit; too many good scenes!
"Pirates are evil? The Marines are righteous? These terms have always changed throughout the course of history! Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different values! Those who stand at the top determine what's wrong and what's right! This very place is neutral ground! Justice will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice!" -Donquixote Doflamingo on morals and justice.
Truer words hath never been spoken in One Piece. Even in the real world; our senses of justice and righteousness are divergent depending on which side of the fence we're standing on at any given time. There is no such thing as objective morality in this world. Awesome scene.
-
Day 1: Nami. Luffy is very close though.
Day 2: Doflamingo and Blackbeard
Day 3: When Luffy punched the Celestial Dragon and when he remembered his crew after losing Ace. -
Took awhile, but this scene is one of my favorites:
!
-
Day 1: Franky
Day 2: Arlong
Day 3: So many great scenes but I've always loved this one -
day 1: luffy or franky, I loved them all though
day 2: Crocodileday 3: ch299p11
-
favourite scene….
I can't just pick one...
so I'll pick 3,-Usopp and Luffy's argument over Merry
-Alabasta arc Gomu Gomu no Storm
-Zoro's sacrifice
screw it. Make it 4.
-Luffy punching the shit out of St. Charloss in the human auction house
-
My favorite scene will always be Enelface realizing he had no effect on Luffy.
Why do people have so much trouble just picking one….?
-
Day 3- The Baratie Arc is the most underrated arc in One Piece, and it has awesome moments for me.
-Sanji finding out Zeff ate his own leg to survive
-Sanji's farewell to the restaurant. That was awesome. -
My favorite scene will always be Enelface realizing he had no effect on Luffy.
Why do people have so much trouble just picking one….?
Because some people, (including myself) find it too hard to just pick one.
This series has waaay too many great scenes in it. -
This post is deleted!
-
1- Guess I'm going with Franky.
2- This is the General section, so Zephyr it is. If he's not allowed, I pick Blackbeard. Not too sure here because there are more I like.
day 3: ch299p11
I was going to choose Blackbeard's "A man's dream… WILL NEVER DIE!", but then I saw this. I love Cricket with a passion, I choose this one too if it doesn't bother you, it's simply too touching.
Runner-ups:
There are a lot, but at the top of my head:
-
"This has been... A WONDERFUL LIFE!"
-
"Kid!! We will part here! There is one thing... one thing that is absolutely certain...! It is that for "Golden CIty" and "Sky Island", there has never been anyone... who could prove that they do not exist!! Others might laugh at us, but that doesn't matter!! This Is... Romantic!"
-
"A "weak man", am I...? What an insolent man... Give me a break, Crocodile brat...!! I'm only one man, with one heart... And you're the same... They call me a demon and a monster, but I won't always be the strongest one out there...!!! If I can bring one young life into the future, isn't that enough...!?"
-
"That which cannot be stopped: Inherited will, a man's dream, and the flow of time. As long as man continues to seek out the answer to freedom, these things shall never be stopped."
-
"I gave away my sons' lives...!? If you are pirates, choose who to believe yourselves!!!"
-
"Pirates are evil!!? The marines are justice!!? These labels have been passed around heaven knows how many times...!!! Kids who have never known peace... and kids who have never known war... Their values are too different!!! Whoever stands at the top can define right and wrong as they see fit!!! Right now, we stand in neutral territory!!! Justice will prevail!? Well, sure it will! Whoever prevails is justice!!!"
-
"There is nothing that can't be cured in this world! No matter what others say, I will use my medical knowledge to help this country. I will stand by this pirate flag to figt with any kind of disease!"
-
"When you said you had something important to tell me, I wondered what on Earth it might be... But then you come out with a little thing like this...? It doesn't matter who brought you into this world... All humans are sons and daughters of the sea!!"
-
"Any ship... making them... there is no good or bad! I don't care what kind of ship you build from now on! The ship you created may hurt people or cause worldwide destruction. The father of that ship must always love his children. The father should never denounce the ship! Don't blame the ship! The ship that you made... Should be your man's pride!"
I typed the sentences, but I guess it doesn't matter.
4- Spandine and Spandam, I guess. Also the people who treated Robin like trash, and a handful of nobles.

Shall we kick off day 4?
Day 4: Character you most dislike, and why
-
I cant choose any scene for day 3….
-
Shall we kick off day 4?
Day 4: Character you most dislike, and why
Thanks for starting for me; I was busy baking.
A character I dislike most would probably be Foxy. He's just so… And his stupid face and laugh... Ugh. The first One Piece character I ever disliked, and not in the good way like with other villains, where you love to hate them. Nope, Foxy is just... :getlost:
-
character i dislike the most? I guess it's a tie between siam and pearl, horrible hairstiles and not near strong enough to be as arrogant as they are. Butchi is cool though.
-
There are very few characters I dislike in One Piece. Some may be annoying, but I can still stand them.
Overall, I think I choose Porsche. I found her even worse than Foxy.
And filler children, especially filler children. -
Kuromarimo because he's a useless idiot and he totally doesn't deserve to have an afro. Chess is just as useless but at least he doesn't bring shame and disgrace to the power of the afro.
-
Characters I most dislike…?
Spandam. Why, it goes without saying.
And Whitebeard. As to why, I know quoting myself is lazy, but I'm going to do it anyway.
It looks like that: I get the entire "We need to save Ace because he is a family" thing. I don't moraly approve of it, because he is murdering a lot of people who are just doing their job to do that, but I get it. When he stayed behind at Marineford to creat an oppurtunity for pirates to escape, I got that too.
However, that last bit, the "One Piece is real" speech, crosses the line, because of the simply thing: It's petty. Not only that, it's stupid.
He does realize the importance of his own death, and he himself said that he wouldn't saw a bright future for his sons if it occured. But after he knows he is going to die, he deliberatly makes the situation WORSE. And for what? Just to spite WG? He clearly states he has no interest in One Piece or similar thing, but at the same time he sends hundreds of pirates to sea to get it. Pirates that will, among other things, attack islands he no longer can protect. Pirates that will pillage innocent villages. Pirates that will try to destroy what remains of his crew, probably.
And we cannot say that he doesn't know the conseqeunces of what he is saying either, because of two things:
A) He protected Fishman Island from the very same pirates that Rogers words has sent out to sea.
B) The man who killed him, and a member of his crew, his nakama, did that just to get enough power to seize that damn treasure.
So yeah, I don't think very highly of him after that. And honestly, he was kind of being asshole to Jimbei, considering he stopped being Shichibukai just to help him and then Whitebeard says words that HE KNOWS will send hundreds upon hundreds of pirates on to the Fishman Island, the only way to the New World that pirates can use, which at the same time is no longer protected by him.
-
Day 4: Hmmm…..few characters actually get my blood boiling. Do I pick someone I have just reason to hate, or someone that's just....annoying?
I guess.....Spandam?
-
Day 4: Character you most dislike.
Nico Robin, she is annoying. -
Day 3: This is kind of a toughie, since
I've never really thought about my favourite scene beforethere are far too many to pick from. The cherry blossoms blooming at the end of Drum Island, Crocodile's spectacular defeat, "I wanna live". All are fantastic moments that remind me why I've stuck with this series for the last six years. If I had to pick the best one, though…I'd have to say the scene that got me hooked on One Piece to begin with, and that's Luffy destroying Arlong Park. Any series that can make me cry tears of joy has done its job right.Day 4: Least favourite character? Hmm...I'm also having a hard time picking this one. Wapol was rather annoying, but I wouldn't call him the worst character ever. I will say that I'm not very fond of Akainu, which is surely what Oda intended. As intimidated as he may be, he's still very one-dimensional, especially when compared to the other Admirals.
-
Day 4: Spandam. He's the only character I hate in OP.
-
Character I dislike: This is a tough one. I don't think I have any burning hate for the characters, Ijust care more about some of them than some others. Recently, really don't care for Momonosuke. I find his gimmick unfunny, but he's a really minor character, so it's not as bad as it could be. The NFP weren't much to note either, though Hodi was the way he was for a reason, but again, they're relatively unimportant in the long run.
-
Day 4:
Spandam
It was soooooo satisfying seeing Robin snap this asshole pretty much in two at the end of enies lobby arc.Even if he is still alive, he's now pretty much crippled for the rest of his life.
-
Caribou, for that long ass cover story. Of course there are characters I hate more, but that's a good kind of hate that adds to the story. With Caribou, I just want him gone.
My least favorite SH is either Chopper or Jinbei, though I still love them both!
-
Day 1: Franky
Day 2: Arlong
Day 3: So many great scenes but I've always loved Luffy protecting Dr Hiruluk's flag Day 4: If it's a bad guy who I'm supposed to love to hate then it's got to be Spandam. If it's just a character who I don't like then Shirahoshi. -
Day 4: Character you most dislike, and why
Fucking Spandam. No need for explanation. -
Pell.
'Cause, you know, he's alive.
But in all seriousness, I'd have to say Momo. He's annoying, even if he's not very relevant at the moment.
-
Day 4: Every.Single.Dwarf.
-

-
Shall we kick off day 4?
Day 4: Character you most dislike, and why
Conis's father, Pagaya for a very simple, and shamelessly shallow reason; his face/mouth hair is disgusting.
-
Mr 2.
Haters gonna hate. He's really overrated. -
Since I missed the past two days..
Day 2: Doflamingo, due to recency bias.
Day 3: The Straw Hats standing on the courthouse in Enies Lobby. So iconic.
Day 4: Spandam. Thanks to everyone above who mentioned him. Almost forgot his sleazy self existed.
-
Wait, do villains still count? I mean, you're supposed to "hate" them.
-
Wait, do villains still count? I mean, you're supposed to "hate" them.
Of course they do. Many people just confuse "worst character" with "worst person" in these sort of things and that kinda annoys me. A villain is probably always a bad person, but that doesn't make him a bad character.
To stay OT, I don't really like to pick a favorite in OP, because I love pretty much everyone. But alas…
Day 1: Probably Franky & Brook, because they are the most unusual to be main characters, and I like that.
Day 2: Just guess (Hint: It's Caesar.).
Day 3: I think I'll go with the whole segment of Luffy ringing the bell. It's really touching together with the quotes of the Noland-Calgara-flashback and the reactions of the Shandians, Skypieans and Cricket.
Day 4: Boa Hancock. It just didn't sit right with me how Boa started off as a villain and then suddenly became a good person by falling in love with Luffy. I mean, I understand her being a dick to males with her backstory and all, but I don't like how she acted towards her own people and never even got redeemed for that after getting on Luffy's side. For all we know, she could still be kind of a dictator to the rest of the Kuja.
