Pretty sure that was it. It's too big and round to be a rabbit, right?:ninja:
I'm actually getting my hopes up that Breed summons an oversized Owlfish as his Shadow's Asgard style ultimate attack.

@zeff:
Pretty sure that was lucci animators messed up with

I loved the filler, quite refreshing indeed.No they didn't if you look close enough you can see he's got a moustache
-
So the "Monet causing those rabbit waves" theory is crushed eh?
I have always skipped the fillers before Thiller Bark so I can't compare this arc on them but so far, it seems pretty okay. No out-of-character moments, seeing Kun-Fu dungongs was nice and Breed makes nice villain. I'm actually rather curious about his motives. He seems kinda misanthropic so a total genocide by using animals maybe? At least it would be less of a cliche than "I want moneypowerburnvillages mwahahaa" kind of guy.
Can't wait for next week!

Love this. Absolutely love this.
Iβd like if they quickly mention something about Breed either getting beaten by someone or getting his devil fruit recently.
Otherwise, those sea animals are the best army heβs got? He just caught Luffy, Law, Caesar and Chopper in like four minutes. -
Hmmm, wonder if Breed's ship is supposed to be the same one from the ice hunters arc

It's been a while since I've seen the Ice Hunters filler, but for some reason I got more Strong World vibes from the lair. Kind of reminded me of Shiki's lair where Nami was being held (at the least the interior gave that off to me). But then again, it has been a while since I've seen Strong World too (damn stores and their non-stocking ways ><). ^^;

This gif is comedy gold.

Not to spoil for those who aren't reading the manga but,
! Doesn't it seem like that rabbit wave idea was inspired by the this panel in Chapter 700??

Yes. It's like w/ the circle rainbow panel way back before the crew met w/ Duval. Toei decided to add the Spa Island filler to actually explain that single panel (which I actually applaud them for), and here, they're incorporating the filler w/ the creation of that wave (something else that I applaud Toei for doing).

Fun episode, after a long arc like Punk Hazard I don't mind having fillers.
-
lol, isn't Breed's ship the same size as Noah?
It has the hanging chains and everything.

One word: Bondage.

@Mr.:
The one big flaw is that his ability is way too close to DD's to the point that DD might actually come across as a copycat to uninitiated anime-only viewers.
The anime has seen people being manipulated by DD's power as far back as episode 207 when he Toatlly Killed Bellamy
highly doubt that will be a problem.
-
The fact that the Kung-fu Dugong came back and has his own crew makes this even more enjoyable.
-
@Rogues':

That this is obscenely huge, I agree. Laughably huge considering the size of Noah and
! Big Mam's ship in the Dressrosa arc looks like a tugboat next to this floating continent.

@A:

That sentence was an exaggeration on my part, but up until that Punk Hazard bit with Smoker, Doflamingo's puppetry skill was a bit more ambiguous early on, where there was a lot om mystery about what he was actually doing in those scenes. Not helped that Doflamingo solely used his ability to slice up pirates during Marineford.
Breed's ability is somewhat more impressive in that his slavery appears to be more permanent even while he's not "activating" his ability, they're still stuck with those collars and presumably still able to be controlled even if the slave escapes to the other half of the world. In addition, he's apparently able to (briefly?) control the minds of his victims (pretty damn useful for interrogation), something DD can't do.
Of course, DD is so far, easily the most sadistic in the use of his ability. In addition, his ability goes beyond puppetry and he can gamely fight even without using it. Breed seems to be the more typical slave owner: a weakling who makes his slaves do all the work.

I have to say this filler's the best I've seen in a long time and actually blows the previous movie specials away and even the Ice Hunter arc in terms of an introduction episode. Good animation, an actual plot that makes sense with continuity. If Breed is a broker it makes perfect sense for him to want in on Ceaser's ability to control Doflamingo. Sure, Doffy would wipe the floor with this guy but he at least poses a decent threat for a filler character and I like his design and voice. Another thing I like is that they didn't try to make Luffy look weaker like before. I would have been pissed if he and Law were struggling against fodder animals. And the only reason Breed got his ability on the two is because Luffy distracted Law from using his Room to switch it out, which I can buy better than them standing and letting it happen. For Chopper I'm okay with it because he's not exactly in their league.
Ceaser was pretty in character as well and still an arrogant dick, which is a good thing.
-
I was really late watching this, but I have to see amazing. 9.5/10. It was just a brilliant episode.
The animation was consistently good, and freaking beautiful at the beginning at night. Breed is an interesting and intelligent villain. The sea-animal pirates were gold. My only complaint is at the end when Luffy stopped Law's attack, that was stupid even for Luffy.

No episode today?
Edit: Never mind. And I was actually looking forward to a little bit of Breedo :(

It has the hanging chains and everything.
It's like a mixture between Noah, Thriller Bark, and Shiki's ship.
Final verdict is that it's unoriginal as fuck. I wanna see how they'll explain how this mook that doesn't even have a real crew managed to survive in the New World with a giant ship.

Furthermore, how the hell did that ragtag (and frankly piss-weak for Grand-Line standards) group of animals enter the New World in the first place?
There are only two ways to enter the New Word: Through Mariejoa or Fishman Island.
If they went through Mariejoa, then the Tenryuubito would own their furry assess as slaves.
If they went through Fishman Island, then what, did the animals get their raft coated by a coating engineer? If so, how did they survive the 10,000 meter journey down to Fishman Island and NOT get fucking eaten at first chance?
and how could a coating engineer understand them in place? THEY'RE FUCKING ANIMALS.
