I'm sure the morally touched Holy Knight is going the help them escape dying in the process. After a while he'll come back as villain because the Knights used the Demon Blood on him. A epic fight will occur and by the end of it he will gain his conscience back and help them again, of course dying again but for real this time and we will all honor him by changing our avatars.

That…that sounds beautiful.
I wonder who we'll see next week swinging her giant hammer. :>

In all fairness, Helbram took King by surprise and Chastiefol seems to have multiple forms, the strongest which probably hasn't been used yet.
Still, crazy power levels. I like this series a lot but I'm not going to try and figure out any sort of power ranking for it.
-
Full power Meliodas should still be at the top, but it's nice that the rest of the team are also all rediculously powerful. Thanks, Nakaba Suzuki-brand craziness!
-
I still prefer Diane fighting with her bare hands.

It seems clear the sins have different levels of powers, since King was not able to do what Diane could. But still the difference doesn't have to related to the quantity of power but also to quality; I mean, a possibility is that King is as powerful as Diane in terms of quantity of power, but the kind of power he manages is easily nullified by Helbram (who seems to have met King long time ago). But another possibility is that the difference is only in quantity and Diane is much more powerful than King. I guess when King wakes up and tell us about who is Helbram for real, we'll know more about all of it.
King's explanation of how a treasure works is that the treasure makes the sin able to use a much bigger amount of his/her real power, and in this chapter we could see a manifestation of Diane's true power thanks to his Gideon. So it's like if the sins would have immense power due to the fact that they are sins (not to the fact that they have treasures), all of it makes me wonder much about the origin of their tattoos, the formation of the seven sins and their sacred treasures.

Between this and Kongou Banchou I guess I can say that the author is fond of giants.
-
My guess is that it has to do with the nature of the Sin that determines how powerful they can become. For example, if something were to really enrage Melodias, then his power would be more prevalent and he would sync with his weapon better. In Diane's case, her Envy of anyone interacting with the Captain and his life being in danger made her Envy at maximum, causing her to draw out the maximum possible strength and sync with her weapon completely.
-
This is a series by Nakaba Suzuki and one of it's main characters is a female giant who beats shit up alot ?
Why was I not informed ?

Just thought I'd stop by and slip this in…
Awesome!!! thanks a lot!

Guess my eyes didn't play tricks on me after all, the sword is a key to something something :D.

I cant remember now but were the Holy Knights in war with someone?
After all they already rule the kingdom and the seven deadly sins are still scattered. Why they need the evil clan powers for?
-
Sorry for the wall of text, but it seems it could help you. The main framework is about a war is going to be happen according to the prophecy. I wrote about it in another site:
To me, the first one could be the most intriguing panel we have seen in NnT up to now. Together with the following page, quoted above, talks about a prophecy. The panels belong to a chapter entitled: Ballad of the beginning . And the beginning of that legend is precisely certain prophecy the father of Cenette tells us about. Those are his worlds:
These youngsters are criminals…? What an absurd lie. Just what are the holy knights scheming? And on top of that, the miraculous healing of my body… and the miraculous protection of that young man, Meliodas… A mysterious power that can’t be seen by the naked eye… Jo, I feel the presence of an immeasurably great will. It is an omen of the beginning of a trial of ancient origins, When the skies are filled with crossing shooting stars, Britannia will be visited by an immense menace. It’s an omen of the beginning of a trial of ancient origins, a holy war between the guiding hand of light and the bloodline of darkness.
I take the bold words, as the main body of the prophecy. Now, as a beginning, it seems the prophecy sets up the main framework to the story, and the events we have seen up to now have their meaning as parts of a story that will drive us to a holy war between light and darkness. So, in general, how are those events we have seen related to that war foretold by the prophecy?
In particular: What is the connection between the murder of Saratras and the foretold holy war? And what the connection between the accusation and dismantling of the sins and that war? Also, what about the cup d’état? Hendricksen and Helbram have created too the second holy knights, tried to capture Meliodas; and they are trying to revive the demon clan. So what’s the connection between those actions and that war?
And last but not least, the panels above show us certain someone in top of a mountain. Someone we still don’t know about, I guess. That mysterious character is showed at the same time we are told about the prophecy. Just who is that mysterious character?
It seems the day of the return of terror, which Helbram talks about in this chap, is the day the prophecy was talking about. And in short, Zaratras' assassination, the cup d etat, and the use of demon blood to create knights, all of them are steps in the plan developed by the dark side. But now we know they needed Meliodas sword and Elizabeth for something. I wonder what is the role of Elizabeth in all of these.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
The other major question here is: where are Elizabeth panties?
-
And nobody's talking about how this series has already been licensed after only five volumes? Greatr news for Western fans as this makes releases in other countries more likely as well.
-
Is anyone looking out for a DianeXHauser?:ninja:
-
I colored a panel. I loved this chapter. Tears.
-
I like your coloring style although it's very "digital"(can't find the right word).
Your palette just feels very warm and it has impact. -
-
The licensing is great news for Nakaba Suzuki and NnT. I should look to see if any vendors will carry the first vol in the cons I go to next summer.
Still enjoying the personalities and dynamics of the characters. Ban punches Mel; Mel understands. Mel gropes Elizabeth; clearly he's back to normal.

This post is deleted!

I can't wait to see where this manga goes… It's so epic.
-
Caught up. Digging this so far, honestly. The main character already seems to have more personality then Akira from KB.
http://www.batoto.net/read/_/200196/nanatsu-no-taizai_ch50_by_red-hawk-neo/21 One thing, when I saw the note down there I was a bit annoyed. Fairy Tail is nowhere near the league where it could share the cover with SDS (or however it was decided we would be calling this in short).
-
I think that NnT is the commonly used acronym?

Dunno, was somehow afraid using the Japanese name would seem weird here given the title of the thread, but oh well.
-
No acronym is even better :-)
Having a cover in Magazine is already great considering 90% of them are usually idols very few of us care about. -

I assumed it was like with Jump.
-
Well I exagerate a little. It's more the young mag that are like that. Still shonen magazine has a big amount of them too
-
Well, a lot of times it's some AKB48 project related idol, and AKB48 is big over there. Occasionally actresses are on the cover, like Horikita Maki and Aragaki Yui.
-
We're getting 31 pages again this week, it's insane how many extra page chapters did this series have already? It's only been 50 chapters.
And I'm pretty sure we got at least 2 chapters at once a week. -
Raw is out.
Lots of Ban fanservice on this one, and I dont find that a bad thing.
Nakaba's style is still improving, each chapter looks better than the previous.

Chapter spoiler summary
! - Hauser is surprised/skeptical at the report of Veronica passing away, Griamor(is that the name? Veronica's bodyguard) is also believed to be dead
- We see the holy knights seemingly forcing people to train(forced conscription?) in preparation of the war
- Elizabeth reaffirming her resolution and Dianne telling her that they're companions on this
- Ban and King are training, ban tells king he should come with the intention of killing him, king retorts that it's kind of meaningless when he's immortal.
- Ban wants to quickly get the kingdom back, there's a holy relic he hopes to get his hands on which the kingdom owns(by getting it rewarded for rescuing the kingdom, although I think he isn't above stealing it either :P)
- It's a horn that has the power to revive gods/goddesses, which he wants to use to get elaine back
- King speaks about how Ban is also concerned about something else, about how Meliodas' form and Geera's and Jericho's powers were similar and that their origin might be of the demon clan(Ban cuts him off before he finishes)
- Ban is upset for King suggesting even something like that, he tells him that only Elaine and Meliodas would welcome trash like him and that Meliodas could never be something like that monster(he thinks back to the demon he faced)
- chapter ends with Meliodas making a vow
-
! Thanks. Isn't there something about a 300 years in the last page ?

I Just caught up with this series and i'm gonna start reviewing it on my youtube channel. BTW would you guys like it if I shared my reviews in this thread?
My favorite character in this series so far is Harlequin, Ban comes in second.
-
BTW would you guys like it if I shared my reviews in this thread?
Sure I would. :)

On chapter 30, it's okay, just kind of corny so far. (to me)
Mainly because of those scenes where the main character is intended to be presented as "ichigo cool". (That's my new term for corny scenes like this in manga)
example: The scene where he gets a slash on his back, pretends to act normal, then immediately passes out, and "I sold my sacred treasure."
Then there is the tit rubbing. -_- lame. <– This coming from someone who enjoys the fan service in Kenichi, am I a hypocrite? lol

Hey guys… I'm having trouble finding the newest chapter... Any leads?

Translation from French of a resume of chapter 52
! Hellbram learns that a giant in armour was discovered in Orban wood, east of Byzel. He wants him to be killed, no failure will be allowed.
In Ordan, life is peaceful, until 2 villagers meal is interrupted by the 7 deadly sins. In fact 7 kids which play them. To the ones known, are added a lion (pride) a boar (gluttony) and a goat (lust). By playing, they meet the Boar Hat. The boss Pelodias scold them for installation without permission and threaten them. Melodias tells him to calm down but the boy says he is allowed, being the sin of wrath. Other pseudo-sins are revealed much more sinful than the original ones. After a while kids befriend our heroes and tell them that a giant god lives in the forest. The presence of some holy kings is felt and something happens in the village where the kids have to go back. There, a knight explains that they were exterminated by a monster in armour. Melodias thinks that they have found the sin of Lust Gowther. -
Mmmh, are these confirmed? If they're true that's a surprising pick for lust.
-
Isn't it a bit too early for spoilers?
Edit:
Ah okay, spoilers are out. Waiting for translation. -
It's from a pretty reliable source I would say, and doesn't seem fake at all
-
has chapter 51 been released? cause I can't seem to find it
