Don't care for Mingo, and I don't like Norland for beating Rayleigh. Magellan is a great villain and Robin is my kween. Easy choice.

Caesar and Buggy, a match made in my heart, and not just because they're clowns. They just go together so well.

03. Jinbe & Akainu vs. Kuma & Bepo

Jinbe is great and I'm really pulling for Akainu this year. Kuma and Bepo are both meh.

04. Fisher Tiger & Bellamy vs. Whitebeard & Garp

Love Tiger, don't care for Bellamy, Garp and Whitebeard ate great, but not like Tiger. Campaigns!!

05. Kuzan & Perona vs. Hancock & Mr. 3

Kuzan AND Perona? Wowee what a team.

06. Moriah & Shanks vs. Laboon & Nami

Curse you mods for making me vote for Nami twice.

Frankly and Zoro are probably the best straw hat team possible. If anyone can take down Croc, it's those two.

Monet, who is already half-loved half-hated by the community, gets put against two hilariously awesome characters that are even more awesome together, with her partner being the Straw Hat who's justifiably gotten the most flak over the past several years. I'm not even going to try getting my hopes up on this one.

Team Magma-Fisting vs. Team Bear?! These team-ups are absolutely glorious. I want to support the Beptization, but Jinbe+Akainu is the best thing ever. Torn...

Tiger's decent and I'm really digging Bellamy lately. Whitebeard, though a dear favorite, is void. Garp, while awesome, may not be awesome enough to do it for me on his own.

Not even close to being a contest for me.

06. Moriah & Shanks vs. Laboon & Nami
Campaigns could sway me but I'm leaning pretty hard on this one.

01 = I like DD (Why nobody made a DareDevil campaign yet ?) and Norland, shsish, everyone loves a flashback character, but I think that DonFlamingo can´t carry Norland by himself. Especially against Magellans and Nico Robin combo campaigns.

02 = The so called "worst SH" with a little help of Articuno against the clowns duo ? considering the circus that is APF… No chance, easy win for the duo (you know, every circus needs a clown, and AP forums has two).

03 = The martyr and the executioner versus the bears duo...Now I see the conection between a circus and APF, now we have trained animals...In this match I think the love/hate for both Jinbe and Akainu is higher then Kuma in TB and his last stand to protect the ship and any hype that Bepo has.

04 = Let´s see, in one side we have a legend (IMO his flashback was a let down) and Mr. sudden redemption (ok Oda, I know you love to do this "past enemy becomes a present ally" thing, but sometime, I can´t swallow the idea, I just can´t), against the past itself ? You can live in the past glory, but there is no chance to win against the glory of past itself.

05 = Kuzan was always the misterious mentor of the SH and to "help" him, we have some goth lolita FS. Against who they will go ? Boa Hancock and Mr 3...The epitome of FS in One Piece and a "prank" man. Good luck Ice man..You are going to have...

06 = Both Moriah and Shanks has a good support in this forums, but Nami fanbase is greater, and Laboon bandwagon will help her win.

07 = SH duo in one side, and in the other, one of last the animal representative and Mr. Sand(man) pimp that everyone loves. I guess that only in AP a mice would be considered a support, the only question, is it sufficient ?

08 = Brook is so lucky to get God by his side, I can say that he can finally rest his soul in peace. They will face a new character (this can be both good or bad...) and another prank character, I hope that people remembers that Crocus was part of Gol D. Roger crew..If they do, Crocus can help Issho more.

1. Doflamingo's fans automatically give him the anti-vote. And I'd rather see Robin win again than most of the remaining chars.

I can't say I liked the tag-teams last year, so I was happy to read that post by one of the mods (can't remember who it was, though) saying that they wouldn't be back this year. So… I'm a bit disappointed to see that they are back after all.

But, hey, I don't like to complain, so I guess I'll roll along and post my picks for this round:

! 01. Doflamingo & Norland vs. Robin & Magellan - (I'm not a Doflamingo fan at all, but I do want to vote for Noland no matter what. On the other hand, I actually really like both Robin and Magellan… so, I guess this is exactly one of the reasons why I don't like tag-teams.)
02. Monet & Sanji vs. Caesar & Buggy the Clowns - (I never ever imagined I would vote for Monet, but in this match I like Sanji and Buggy while I'm not the biggest fan of Ceasar and Monet. And since Ceasar will probably a bigger threat later on in the tournament I might as well try to take him out here.)
03. Jinbe & Akainu vs. Kuma & Bepo - (Again, Akainu is probably one of the characters in One Piece I dislike the most (albeit in a way that we are supposed to dislike him), but Jinbe is cool and I don't really care about Bepo and Kuma.)
04. Fisher Tiger & Bellamy vs. Whitebeard & Garp - (While Fisher Tiger is cool, I like Garp and WB more. At least this match doesn't suck like tag-teams usually do (I know I said I didn't wanna complain, sorry :P))
05. Kuzan & Perona vs. Hancock & Mr. 3 - (Voting for Perona here. Kuzan is nice enough, so I don't mind voting for him either. It's a shame Mr.3 has to go down though, cause I like him as well.)
06. Moriah & Shanks vs. Laboon & Nami - (Actually, I like all these four characters, but I'll probably go with Laboon and Nami. I guess I think they deserve it more ore something.)
07. Franky & Zoro vs. Tyrannosaurus, Iceburg & Crocodile - (The only match I don't know yet. Croc is probably one of the top candidates to win this year. I love Iceburg and Tyrannosaurus. But Franky and Zoro are both cool as well…)
08. Brook & Enel vs. Fujitora & Crocus - (I'd like to vote for Crocus, but I want to vote for Brook as well. And when I have to choose between Enel and Fujitora, I have to go with Enel.)

One more thing though. Can you guys please, please, please tell me whether or not the next round will consist of the tag-team partners fighting each other? Cause that would be totally shitty not be something I would be very happy with… but if it's gonna happen anyway, I would like to keep that in mind while voting during this round.

I promise I will try not to complain about the tag-teams any further from now on ;).

Personal preference and the lack of real recent substance, mostly. In my opinion, Robin is the least worthy champion to have a repeat performance this soon after her first victory. And she's my least liked Strawhat too, for whatever reason. It's kinda funny since I like her cynicism and darkness as well as her maturity, but there's just something about her character that irks me personally.

Well when 2 favourites get put against 2 "losers" it seems pretty unfair, cause in some cases solo characters have more chance of winning.
But I'm liking the whole tag-team idea since I haven't participated in anything like this yet!

8 matches with 16 characters getting through means 8 matches on the next round. Sixteen matches with an equal amount of characters getting through also means 8 matches on the next round. When each match lasts for a single day, we're at a situation where this actually saves us a whole week. 8+8=16 < 16+8=24.

But that's not really the reason why we're doing this, it's just a nice by-product. As for the real reason, that's not something that we're going to discuss here. We are mindful of all the feedback we're getting, though.

An idea that just popped in my mind now, but which can´t be considered this year. Why not making a double elimination tournament, http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/68/NSB-doubleelim-draw-2004.png. Then every character would need to lose twice to be eliminated which would give characters who are stronger, but had bad luck in the draw, and also such with lots of campaigns, like f.e. Law, Luffy a second chance. The only problem that arises is that it would take more time since there would be much more matches, but there could be two matches a day from the second round on, f.e. one from loser and winner brackets.

About the tagteams: I´m not a big fan of these but it sure brings some spice into the tournament. Going with the guys on the left side here, except in the Whitebeard match. These old farts are too powerful to withstand.

• this is mainly out of spite against Robin. I do not exactly know why. I like her character, most of the time… I might change my mind again though because Magellan is great.

• I love Jinbe, but this Bear-team-up is simply too awesome to vote against.
