Just listened through it and I really enjoy it. Decibel's review said it was pretty much more of the same and, while I think it lacks a bit of the punch that Parting the Sea had, I like how they explored their softer side a bit among the self-hatred.
Toxic Holocaust and Skeletonwitch premiered new songs from their upcoming albums.
I'm slightly disappointed that the new TH sounds like the stuff on Overdose of Death. I loved that album a lot and the new song is good, but I had so much love for the direction Joel Grind took in Conjure and Command and to see them going back to their typical brand of radioactive thrash is a bit of a letdown. Doesn't matter, though, since it's still probably gonna wreck face.

I heard that the production had been upped on Skeletonwitch, but holy hell this is soul thrashing black sorcery. Kurt Ballou, your reputation is intact! There were always some moments in Skeletonwitch's music that sounded too brittle, but now there is enough meat to feed the whole track. I am excited as all hell for this album.

Pinkish Black's new album came out today, which I might buy, since I can't find a leak and have been really interested in it. I heard it was a big step up from their self-titled, which I thought fell somewhat flat, but showed a lot of promise. There are a couple tracks streaming here, which have been whetting my appetite.
Carcass's Surgical Steel is officially released today, though the leak's been floating around for a while. It fits along the lines of their Heartwork-era material, and is fairly good. Time will tll just how memorable it is to me, but everything checks out. It's more Carcass and thus it is good. Full album on stream here.
