Really disappointed with Nami Brook Chopper, I would get it if one or two of them got turned into those models, but all of them.. that really makes them look like fodders.
Also I don't really understand if they got turned into toys or some other art model, since in the spoilers I read that they were turned into toys!
I hope to see a comeback from SH Monster Chopper :)Really? They got blindsided by a devil fruit that they know nothing about and as we've seen has a wide area of effect, there was no way of knowing what to do.

The line is literally, "I, as opposed to you = deeper roots [in regards to the matter we are currently discussing, which is the life and/or death of Luffy]." Cavendish is saying he wants to kill Luffy; Barto says he won't let Cavendish kill Luffy. Cavendish assumes this is because Barto wants to kill Luffy himself, but that's just his assumption. I chose to phrase it in a way that leaves that ambiguity open. Barto's "motivations" could either be motivations for wanting to kill Luffy himself, or motivations for wanting Luffy to live on and not be killed by Cavendish. What Barto wants to communicate is that his stake in this is somehow more meaningful than Cavendish's petty bullshit.

Not too surprising there since Oda gave us a hint back during the reunion that Usopp left the Weaking trio. It wasn't Usopp's usual way of boasting, as he usually says things like being a brave warrior, or claim others (usually Luffy's) actions as his own (saying he knocked down the Giant Jack, knocked out 50,000 people with Haki) ect. Claiming he's not one of the weakling trio isn't his usual type of boasting

I'm not going to grad school in Japan anymore (combination of lacking finances and being fed up with the racist, xenophobic, misogynistic society), so I'm just heading back to America, where I'll start looking for work. In theory that could mean a lot of free time in the foreseeable future…

I'm really liking Jola's power, being able to turn anything into "art". I just want Nami, Brook and Chopper to kick her ass, they deserve to have someone to beat.

It's really not my place to say this, but that's such a shame to hear. Switching from the rural areas to a big city like Tokyo- I assume that's where you were heading initially- surely would've made it easier on you racism-wise I imagine. Makes me a little sad (and mad) that society made you want to leave the whole country instead of just their particular village/city.

Oh ok, i thought you staying in Japan was a done deal already, so thanks for clearing that up. I can understand your decision though, feeling alienated in a foreign society sucks pretty bad.

I really like this chapter.
It doesn't seem like Nami's group lost or anything like that. They seem to be trying to lure her out of the ship so she doesn'tturn the Sunny into an art but she does it anyways.To me, it looks like the art lady's thoughts are forming that cloud thing.
It seems like the new look to the Sunny's figurehead made Momo remind him of something.
I'm liking the situation with Bellamy. We'll just have to wait and see what he does.
The box Bartolomeo has is really intriguing. I wonder what's inside…

When Luffy jumped towards the giant, his beard seems to have fallen off.
When Luffy does G2 on a limb, it doesn't seem to affect his entire body, but in the anime, whenever Luffy does G2 on a part of his body, his entire body steams up. Why is that? -
Nice chapter, just one thing, "oh Chopper, Brooke and Nami can take care of themselves", get owned easly, I hope they beat fatty.
They didn't get owned, they just tried to change location of a fight, because they were afraid for her power to ruin their ship. Meh, too late.
Nevertheless they looks weird, but I wonder if that power is really that useless as just to change appearance. They can easily take her out if that's all what that fat ugly lady can do. -
Really people, think of a moment before complaining about "Nami, Chopper, Brook fail again". Are they up against weak enemy? No. Jola is shown to be a big name in DD's forces, as she's shown in the scenes at Dressrosa with DD before the SH crew reached there, along with Machvise and Lao G. And those two are such big names that they are among the 4 champions (along with Dellinger and Senor Pink) for DD in the tourney. She was shown before Baby 5 or Violet, so I think she's higher up than those two.
Seriously, when has Oda have the SHs be able to defeat the top officers of a Shichibukai in the very first encounter? With Moriah's The Mysterious Three and Crocodile's top 5 agents of Baroque Works, the Strawhats has to struggle the first encounter. The only difference is that with each force is stronger than the ones Shs encountered before.
With this in mind, of course Nami, Chopper & Brook will have trouble in their encounter with an officer of the Donquixote Pirates

Aparently there is no Heart, Espada isn't even named yet (the probability of him being the strong idiot is pretty big), and Diamante is preocupated with the tournament. Just Trebol and those direclty under Mingo have orders.

But humans are not static, they grow in personality and ability with what they go through.
Oda IS allowed to change his mind. And its obvious he's had Usopp grow some during the timeskip.

Do people think that the tournament is going to go by schedule? Like finish Block C and then Block D and then fight the Doflamingo members then Diamante? Because seems to me they (Doflamingo and co) just want to capture/kill Luffy and surely no matter how dimwitted Luffy is hes going to know this? Just doesn't add up that the tournament is going to go on script after this Block/next block.
