Well, that's mostly all true enough, except for the part about him getting old. That's what doesn't make sense to me. Whitebeard got old too. So did Garp. Hell who knows how much older - or even younger - Kyros is compared to Akainu or Fujitora. Old guys are still monstrously strong, and it doesn't really make sense that Kyros alone would weaken so drastically due to old age, which is what he seems to be implying.
But like i said, you're pretty much right i think. More details will clarify the situation.
Indeed. Either he didn't really win that much or age hit him hard, as you said Whitebeard and Garp were still monsters, but they for sure were stronger than Kyros, and they also weakened to an extent.

Sorry if this is been discussed I kinda just skimmed through the pages..
I'm kinda confused about Barto's barrier and the "King Punch".. Before throwing it I had just assumed that the punch would be reinforced with haki but maybe not? If it was that would mean the barrier is haki resistant.. There's obviously still a weakness to it but haki/busoshoku attacks not having any affect seems a bit much if you think about it, at least to me..

Actually no. When the King launched his punch there's a panel in which we can see Ricky kneeling on the floor and trying to "block" it with his sword and hand, but the sword breaks. Seeing as how Ricky himself commented on how old he was + Blue Gilly taking him down in what seemingly was only one kick, I think it's pretty safe to assume that Ricky is in fact out of the area and Barto is the winner.
Otherwise it would have been a cool theory. -

He strikes me as the type that entered the tournament purely because he was bored and wanted to mess with everyone.

And I was reading back through first pages, I think why Bartroll "protected" the audience behind him maybe because he know what is coming and put his barrier on a larger and wider scale to have stronger defence effect but not meant to be protect the audience XD IMO -

Bartolomeo was already officially announced as the winner. I doubt he could do anything even if he stood up.
He was also trying to block with his sword, which was broken in half (it failed).

I don't know what Oda wants to say us, when Barto talks about the crossing Finger stuff. Was he mocking again, cause Japanese people know about the crossing finger and Barrier thing, or does he need to do the crossing finger thing to do the Barrier thing? When i first read it, i laughed because i interpreted it as mocking/kidding the King^^.

Kinda weird that Bellamy could grab a Barrier-Man. Even if Ballamy grabs him, Barto can still genarate a Barrier which would prevent the grabbing attempt :D, no?
Overall, last Chapter was better. Loved the Don Chinjao in rape mode and the Bellamy action looked awesome. This Chapter hasn't such cool moments or good panels :(.

I have a theory about that: the reason Oda has introduced Bellamy is for him to "show" Luffy how he can defeat him. This is the New World after all which would me Bartolomeo uses Haki (we can't see for sure because his attacks consist of invisible barriers).
I think Luffy will have the same problem VS Bartolomeo as Bellamy did but will, obviously, defeat him and he will have Bellamy to thank for that.

Don Chinjao don't impress me at all.
Just the fact that he have a Kaidou (perhaps) numbers make me feel like he's just a simple old soldier without importance.

I was hoping the Toy soldier would be the next nakama since he felt like a real unique character that fits in with Oda's style of having very unique SH chars, but after the toy solider announced there's a group of people like him, his uniqueness went away, and it's just back to an interesting character again

Sorry, but imo that's nonsense, because I heavily doubt that Luffy is kind of fighter to need any hints for improving creativity and versatility of his fighting style, because that's one of his specialities after all. If there is anything he could have learned from spectating this fight then it's Kings Punch.
I agree with you that luffy probably isn't going to incoparate anything he's seen into his fighting style but noticing an enemy's weakness and then exploiting is something Luffy is quite capable of,ala Water Luffy vs Crocodile

Why not? My thoughts are they need to complete the whole crew as soon as possible before starting on the rest of the NW. I.e. if a member joins too late in the story, he misses out on 95% of the experiences with the Straw Hats. I'd prefer they join early enough in the NW, so they can still be with the SH's for the last 50%.
I think Luffy said he wanted 10 (11 total if you include Luffy). They have
1 - Luffy
2 - Zoro
3 - Nami
4 - Ussop
5 - Sanji
6 - Chopper
7 - Robin
8 - Franky
9 - Brook
10 - Jinbei (this is pretty much confirmed, but just delayed)So there's really a spot for one more crew member. It could very well be Kinemon too.

It looked like Bellamy figured out how to defeat Bart's devil fruit in the end. Grabs. I think his barrier fruit can only deflect blows. Grabs and throws probably still work. You'll notice Bellamy is grabbing his collar at the end and Bart looks a little worried while Bellamy seems to be gaining confidence. Seems to me that the King's punch saved Bart by taking out Bellamy.
That doesnt make any sense. In order to grab someone you have to attack him which is the same movement when you try to hit someone. If he can block your Hand trying to punch , he can also block your hand trying to grab you.

Exactly. So it's probably one of those: or Barto didn't put up a barrier because he saw Bellamy was not a threat anymore in his current condition, or his Barriers can not be placed too close to Barto body (since Bellamy was too close to him, he was inside the barrier's blind-area).
