So from the last page I gather that Sanji has to get his act together and so he doesn't jeopardize the crew. The question comes up if Usopp were being attacked would Sanji stop the women attacker. Please, he has already been shown to defend against a woman he just won't strike back. Him not getting involved with Monet and allowing Zoro to handle her is a perfect example of him being serious and allowing what needs to be done. Too many of you have selective reading and just wish him to be a clone of Zoro.

@ Urouge - I should have been clear that I was totally with you about Nami and Usopp not eating the fruit. I do expect someone in the crew to want it but that will come with some big decision or circumstance that won't allow it.

Vergo was a rokushiki user for 10 years and those guys have superhuman body plus his coa was really good , Sanji is a pirate so we cant expect him to have a body equall to Vergo . Also the damage Sanjis body recived from CC was too much and even Nami said that she would be dead if it wasnt Sanjis body , Sanji also undertood damage was extreme . I am pretty sure Law doesnt have a stronger body then sanji so if atacks that couldnt break Laws bones hurt Sanji that can only mean he was really damaged before his fight .

I think Sanji was just not really expecting Vergo to be so tough. He was rushing and was already tired and injured a bit. I find it hard to believe Law was able to finish him off so easily and that Sanji couldn't beat him. I think if Sanji was given more time, he would have defeated Vergo.

I think Sanji was just not really expecting Vergo to be so tough. He was rushing and was already tired and injured a bit. I find it hard to believe Law was able to finish him off so easily and that Sanji couldn't beat him. I think if Sanji was given more time, he would have defeated Vergo.

When Sanji fought Vergo he was in top form, when Law fought him he was injured from his fights with Sanji and Smoker.

Sanji vs Vergo was exactly like Sanji vs Gin so i dont know whats the fuss about no one said anything to Sanji when he lost to gin but he beat a stronger oponent afterwards .

You're talking about the VA who was at the top of the food chain in the New World branch. This is the guy that Vice Admiral Smoker reported to. Considering his position, it makes sense that they didn't want to pull him away from it for the war. The threat of pirates in the New World taking advantage of lax security there is real. The G-5 branch looked pretty busted up in Caribou's cover story as it is.

If sanji were to fight vergo again, the match would go differently as for one he wouldn't try tanking a COA hardened kick now that he knows about it. Also i can't see vergo shaking off hell memories the way he did for DJ. Plus we may not have seen sanji use COA at all yet(atleast not the dark COA hardening) so that can lead to some attacks being able to break through vergo's COA.
When i look at sanji vs jyabura, he was a rokushiki user and tanks attacks just like vergo. sanji sent jyabura flying but wasn't really hurting him during the fight until he used DJ. This time, sanji's DJ was like base mode and wasn't really hurting vergo, so he just needs to pull out his stronger attacks like hell memories.

Sanji fought Vergo in worst possible place with wost possible condition , in the first place Sanji cant use big atacks when there is women around and there was tashigi there . If Sanji used a big atack against Vergo everyone around would also be involved and Sanji would kill g5 while trying to save them .

I challenge you to find me even one color spread that wouldn't have been possible if Nami had a devil fruit. Even one. The only one I can think of is the underwater Fishman Island one, in which she'd just need a bubble like all the others.

Yeah, while I've been pretty wary to get into any talk at all about the mera mera, because frankly to me most to all of the discussion about that has become beyond tired and beaten into the ground, I think your assessment is pretty spot on. I actually think it's kind of interesting that this chapter has done so much to flare up discussion about 'which Strawhat is going to get it!', because to me, it actually makes it less likely that any of them will.

I admit that maybe that seems counter-intuitive – after all, we have confirmation in this chapter that Luffy would be fine with any of his crew mates eating it, and even directly offered it to one of them -- but think about what Urouge and some others have said. If you look at it just in the context of Luffy offering it up, then I have serious trouble believing Usopp and Nami would turn it down, while it doesn't seem particularly likely that anyone else would jump at the opportunity. But, considering that I would think everyone would agree that neither of those two are in fact going to end up with it, we run into a sort of contradiction.

Which, to me, makes the obvious conclusion that there will be a wrench in the works somehow, and something else will end up happening to it. Honestly, I think there's potential for interesting speculation about how everything involving it will play out, which only serves to make how it has devolved into this endless back and forth over whether Sanji will be the one to eat it all the more tiresome, but that's as it is.

Mera mera is really a bad move from Odas side since i really dont want Sanji to be limited with that DF but there is also lots of hints that he will eat it , After hell memories i thought sanji would be like Ace without his DF :( i guess Oda doesnt want that .
