I don't know if you guys really know the definition of similar cuz if you do then you will know Mexico and Spain are similar than any. Something like Spain or Mexico isn't similar to Britain or Canada.

More proof from a user that's from Spain.
I posted this earlier in the thread but the amount of posting made it invisible in a few minutes haha
Okay so after reading all of your comments, I think that I am the only one who is actually from Spain here. So, Gaudi style is present in the city of Barcelona, maybe some old lady has some of his art at her house but that is it, regarding the arquitecture, Gaudi´s influence is extendable to barcelona and some other parts in cataluña. (yes, I have the ñ in my keyboard).
I guess that Oda wants to show various different arquitectural styles that are present in Spain. Appart from cataluña, we have also seen buildings which look pretty similar to those in the south of spain (in andalucia, where seville and marbella are). These were shown when Oda drew the place where Doflamingo and his crew are. So, what are we missing? Well, I am from Valencia, so maybe we get to see some palm trees close to Green Bit, and I also think that he will show us some of the typical mills, long fields and castles from castilla la mancha (placed in the center of spain)
Aaah one thing I forgot, The landscape of where the sunny is anchored is typical from Galicia (north of portugal) where we get most of the sea food and shellfishs here in Spain from so that is that. It is also possible for him to include some bull races like those in pamplona when the san fermines are taking place or some burning of giant structures like we have in valencia in fallas (which are happening now)
That´s all there is here folks! -

We already proved that the similarities are only superficial. There is no argument.

In which case it has absolutely fuzz all to do with this thread, so kindly find somewhere else to continue, if you must.
Really guys, not that I'm entirely innocent myself, but after the first couple back and forths, the posts from people dog-piling on idiocy, perceived or otherwise, gets just about as annoying and pointless as the idiocy itself.

@Panda:
You say, however, that 'something traumatic happened… involving flying', and that's the other major point I was trying to raise: I don't see how whatever happened could have possibly involved flying at all. As far as anything seems to show, the only people Momo interacted with in any way after eating his devil fruit -- which is the only thing that allows him to fly in the first place -- before Luffy were the other little child and the guards, whom he immediately fled.
There's no room for any trauma there, so clearly whatever it was happened well prior to that. So what's the connection with the flying?
My guess? The flying probably involves Doflamingo taking Momonosuke on the Sky Road. Essentially Doflamingo's flying in the air during that scene. Possibly Momonosuke was with him for some reason and it traumatized him somehow.

I mean really.

idiocy is a relative term used for idiotism so I agree.

Tragically, I lack any artistic talent whatsoever.
But if anyone could make an artists rendition of Doflamingo doing the Pekoms thing, you would earn yourself a lifetime supply of fuzzy bear hugs.
Make it happen, people!

With Moria mentioned, I want to know the timeline of these living toys. Like, did they appear two years ago? Moria's ability could explain these living toys, and Donflamingo might have kidnapped the guy. Now why he'd so this…I don't know. I just think Donflamingo could exploit Moria for whatever reason.

Not that I disagree with your sentiment entirely. In a way, I think that makes it even worse; in my experience, there are still consistently interesting observations, theories, and discussions to be had in these threads, they just often get drowned out in, well, nonsense.

I apologize and I would have voiced my opinion on the Momo discussion, but most of what I thought was already posted by others. My repeating would just be redundant…
No , I was talking about the Spain/Mexico debate that seriously went on for far too long...
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
ehh, just for shits and giggles...
My position on Momo's refusal to fly stems from these hallucinations he's been having about DD. He may go around acting all proud, but he's still an eight year old boy, he still is scared. That, coupled with the fact that people from Wano kill dragons and seem to despise them, he probably doesn't want to be more dragonlike than he already is.

So… maybe... flying/preparing to fly is what triggers the hallucinations? He experienced the whole shebang the first time, in the garbage dump, and it scared the poop out of him, so that's why he's reluctant to do it now, on Dressrosa? Because he senses that if he does, there'll be another scary hallucination? That could work.
The next step would be coming up with an explanation for that explanation. How is it to DD's advantage if a SMILE eater is scared away from... what? Flying? Using a special function of their respective animal? Maybe he was planning a revolt against Kaidou- but wouldn't Kaidou's beast-men have already realized that their fruits were tainted with DD-flavor hallucinations? If something fishy really is up with the SMILEs though (beyond what we already know), then that would partially explain Law's inability to get information about the factory. DD would need to keep the location and process under lock and key if he were really up to some funny business and planning a betrayal. -

Perhaps the first iteration had more adverse effects…They did say that these synthetic fruits came with side effects if I remember correctly.
-
But then why DD's face in the hallucination? Just because Momo was generally scared of him back on Dressrosa?

(presuming in this page that Doflamingo said the words to him at some point) And Momonosuke seems to legitimately think he's unable to fly instead of putting a facade and acting like he's unable to fly because he's scared, to me at least.
I'm still leaning towards Doflamingo taking Momo on a bad flight on a sky path, but maybe Doflamingo saved him from a tramatic flight experience?
-
@CCC:
But then why DD's face in the hallucination? Just because Momo was generally scared of him back on Dressrosa?
Well when Momo and his dad along with the other samurai were under attack, perhaps Momo was hiding right before he got on the ship and saw DD in action that caused some type of lasting trauma…
now I'm just going on pure speculation, I never like those waters...
-
Not sure if the hunger should matter… because he wasn't hungry this time (unless we think that the first time was a hallucination and the second just a bad memory- definitely possible given the presence/lack of swirly eyes). But Luffy's words... "Get ahold of yourself!" Maybe something DD said to him in a moment of real emotion/danger? Traumatic flight, like you said, sounds like a good theory.
I don't think Momo really doesn't believe he can fly, though, because his lines immediately after are, "Well, even if I could…" and "I'll never do anything like that again." Sounds like typical feigned ignorance.

Don't worry, I feel the same way.

I saw those lines as Momo remembering that moment with Doflamingo and thinking he doesn't want to relive that moment again rather than his experience when flying with Luffy, but I'm not 100% on this and could easily see it as something else too, especially since the adverse effects of Smiles haven't been explored yet so I'm open to the possibility.
