The pace I'd expect is probably another new pokemon next month orr the month after, (March) and then maybe a reveal of two different critters exclusive to their version (May), Starter second forms a bit after that (July) a couple more random things (especially a preevo or evolution of an old thing) in August, with some small details about the world or special features coming out along the way, like the reveal of the professor, a first gym leader, rival, etc… and then a month or two before it comes out reveals will start being in a weekly magazine instead of a monthly.
I can't predict this with as much accuracy as I do with Koei games since they schedule the franchise differently, but it'll be along those lines. Anything that shows of major game mechanics this early is wrong, and we're not going to get more than 1 or 2 critters at a time for a while. Right now they're going to be spending entire 2 page ads on a single detail, like new eevee. We won't know more than maybe, 15 tops by the time the game hits, counting starters and their second forms.
Big giant info dump really won't happen until pretty close to release. August and September will be full of stuff though.
